When They Come For Your Guns, You Will Turn Them Over

Posted By Jim Karger On August 13, 2012

“When they come for my gun, they will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands,” is a common refrain I often hear from the Neo-Cons when there is a threat, credible or otherwise, that the US government is going to take their firearms.

And, when I hear this crazy talk, I agree with them openly. “You are right. They will pry your gun from your cold dead hands,” which I often follow with the question, “And where will that leave you except face down in a pool of your own blood [in] the middle of the street, just another dead fool resisting the State?”

This is not a question they are comfortable with, if only because the intent of their saber-rattling was to imply they would fight to keep their weapons, and win.

Nice fantasy. It’s not happening.

If the federal government decides to disarm the public, and when the increasingly-militarized rolls down your street after a not-so-subtle request that you kindly turn over your firearms and ammunition “for the common good,” it will be nothing less than suicide by cop to do anything other than what you are told.

The militarization of US police forces is ongoing and escalating. Many cities and towns now own tanks, armed personnel carriers, even attack helicopters, and almost all are outfitted with military weapons not available to the general public.

And, it is not just your hometown cops who are getting new boy-toys. The military itself is buying up weaponry not just for use in the current or next scheduled war, but to deal with the likes of you, ..

John Mohammad and Lee Malvo paralyzed the DC area with one rifle and sniper attacks. I have to believe that an all out attack on gun owners would invite an army of snipers to prey on government officials, whether they be local or national. America was born out of a desire for freedom and I have to believe there are enough patriots left to stand and fight.

What would happen if at every gun owner’s house they confiscation police are met with the gun owners standing unarmed at their door steps with both hands in front of them plams up held togetehr saying “I will not comply with an unconsititutional order you will have to arrest me before you come inside to get my guns”

Then as you are being arrested and hauled in you talk to the law enforcement people and repeatedly plea with them that what they are doing is not only unconstitutional but against human rights. Spend all of the time in the jail pleading with the jailers to re-consider and telling them they are arresting and illegally detaining law abiding citizens.

This strategy could work, but only at the very very early stages of gun confiscation.

Or would demanding to be arrested peacefully end with a bullet to your own head????

I will publicly comply and publicly turn in my guns in my current possesion. But an odd thing may occur. From the moment of confiscation those that legislated, enforced and supported this confiscation will be known. Their addresses, their phone numbers, their places of work and their schedules will be known. At that point and all time forward they will be considered an occupying force that can be dealt with as all occupying forces are dealt with.

Intel and communication are the key to any resistance. Names and info. where they eat, where they play, what theaters, clubs, resorts and on and on. That's where the internet is going to be the key and open access to pdf files, movie and jpeg files will be of paramount importance.

As an example, what if there was a site or a file with every known name, address and information of those who are deemed the occupiers. Just a huge list 4 or 5 columns of info next to a name.

Think of what happened in Hue, Vietnam during Tet. All in one night..... from the highest to the lowest they are all complicit and equal

As for me, I will always comply, I'll always smile and gladly follow the edicts of the occupiers. I will cooperate and I advocate that everybody make that publicly known that you are obeying and compliant.

As an off topic suggestion I think I've heard these books are very interesting

Resistance to Tyranny: A Primer

The U.S. Army/Marine Corps Counterinsurgency Field Manual

Total Resistance by H. Von Dach

War of the Flea: The Classic Study of Guerrilla Warfare by Robert Taber

Psyop: Military Psychological Operations Manual -U.S. Army

Just remember that the occupiers have to eat pizza, shop at grocery stores, get gasoline for their vehicles, use plumbers and electricians, go on vacation, visit relatives, go skiing, go boating/golfing/tennis/softball, get sick and go to the doctor/dentist/veterinarian .... so life is funny. I think that life will be just grand and that everybody should make the life of the occupiers a life full of surprises and disappointments, just like our lives.

Think about this, everytime they eat at a restaurant will their food be "good". Repairs on anything , eh... Dry cleaning...ooops, food delivery.... maybe, cable television/internet ... kind of a crap shoot. Just slow things down and comply with a smile but just not quite the correct way. Think passive-aggressive and you'll survive and make their lives miserable.

Attacking low-level grunts may not be the most effective way to stem this tyranny.

I don't know, morale is very important in a scenario such as this. If Larry the first year ATF agent comes in to work and finds out that his buddy Curly was killed when a bunch of patriots busted into his house and shot him in his underwear and his other buddy Moe was shot and killed with several other agents who were drinking at the local bar. Then odds are Larry who has a wife and baby to think about is going to seriously consider looking for a safer line of work or at least ask for a transfer to the tobacco unit.

People will simply hide their guns until they know it will be time to use them.

The Left murdered 250 million during the 20th century and that isn’t including the unborn!

There are roughly 300+ million people in the US, and we are in a new century, this does not bode well...

“I will take a couple of them with me.”

This is the point. If the ‘tyrannists’ - a brand new word coined here that I think is brilliant - the enablers of tyranny -

If the tyrannists wake up from fitful sleep, send meager food down to a stomach filled with knots, and leave their homes by kissing wives and children - perhaps for the last time - to enforce policies they are enforcing only to ensure they aren’t the ones being oppressed, then their re-experimentation with fascism will fail pretty quickly.

Like Kissinger implied, the crisis won’t be ideological. You’ll run to the bosom of the state because they will be the ONLY ones with antidotes, for example.

The ideology will come later.

The kicker here, of course, is indeed - you have to die of something. If death is preferred, then death it is.

Patton’s words, however, also ring in my head. “Nobody ever won a war by dying for their country. They won it by making the other guy die for his (profanity excluded).”

Government, by and large, is horrible at most things. They’ll be horrible at fascism too. As such, the tyrannists won’t have the manpower or equipment to do the job right, and it will end with the tyrannists turning on the tyrants.

“A lie goes halfway around the world before the truth can get its pants on.”

That used to be true. I remember when they tried to frame W with the National Guard letter they concocted in MS Word that got busted on this very forum. Took less than 8 hours.

The truth is catching up with the lies. It’s going to be an interesting collapse. If the GDP contraction was the surprise they thought it was, it will be sort of funny too.

I have never read a more explicit expression of personal cowardice than this “man” has written in my life.

If just one in ten or even one in fifteen gun owners resist, the gestapo will run out of warm bodies before they even get half way across Tennessee.

And that’s not even considering that once the ball starts rolling and the news of raids gets out, entire neighborhoods will turn out ready to meet these Naruto cosplayers in their black pajamas and face masks with real force. Doughnut munchers and steroid commandos are great against a handful of tweakers caught asleep, but against a ready, alert and determined force? No.

[ San Diego Police Chief William Lansdowne is fully supportive of the Obama/Feinstein gun grab, and says if lawmakers play it right Americans can be completely disarmed within “a generation.”

The problem is that they don’t have a generation. The socioeconomic upheaval that’s a coming is, at most, five years off, not a generation. ]

Need to start running people as county sheriffs who will pledge to both follow the Constitution and who will do the following:

1. If gun confiscation orders come down they will promptly ignore them.

2. They will arrest any and all authorities be they city, state, or federal who do any firearms confiscation.

3. If need be they will offer “Streamlied Deputization” of gun owning law abiding citizens in their county who will be immediately deputized should more force be needed to stand up to the people mentioned in step #2.

4. Before all of this goes down they will offer training classes to any of the people willing to becoem deputies so they are ready to go should the need arise.

The county Sheriffs are elected and may very well becme the defacto leaders of the so mentioned “well regulated millitias” that the left “thinks” should be the only people who should own guns.

****...it will be nothing less than suicide by cop to do anything other than what you are told. ****

I always personally felt the way to confiscate arms is to go into a small town, declare that all guns must immediately be turned in on pain of death!

Then institute a house to house search, find a gun kill the owner.

Then roll on to the next town. You will then find most all the guns piled in the street.

Wives do have a way of convincing their husbands to do it.

***Fortunately there were enough brave patriots to stand up for freedom.***

And there were enough that caved! When General Gage demanded the citizens of BOSTON turn in their firearms, THEY COMPLIED with his demand. The firearms were then seized.

I subscribed to The Daily Reckoning for about a month before I canceled. All they sent me was a stream of ads for products I could buy that would "beat the market".

These guys are frauds and this author is a dick.

Yes it might start with a few Ruby Ridges and Wacos but Yamamoto’s famous words come to mind. “I fear we have awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve.” They would do well to heed those words.

That's why they won't do Ruby Ridges or Wacos this time. Prominent gun rights advocates will suddenly be arrested on "child porn" charges - eliminating any chance of public support or sympathy. Gun-owning, rural, potential dissident types will simply disappear one day on the way to the mall - or die in mysterious one-car rollover accidents. Regular gun-owners who aren't especially political will be left alone for a time, while laws to disarm them are carefully buried inside Omnibus Porkulus Maximus 2013 bills disquised as critical civil rights legislation giving gays the right to marry kangaroos. When a jury summons type letter eventually arrives in the mailbox, "inviting" regular gun-owners to bring their firearms to the local police station in exchange for $1,000 health-care vouchers, there won't be a whole lot of opposition. The few renegades can be picked up later.

There is the rub. The government can take your money with the press of a key. The only up side is money will probably worthless at that point as I see markets failing and banks closing anyway when CW2 starts.

Foo and water staples, fuel, and guns/ammo will be like gold.
