President Barack Obama delivered his seventh speech to the White House Correspondents’ Association Saturday night. After a short montage parodying his interviews with BuzzFeed and YouTube stars, the president launched into his annual stand-up set.
“Welcome to the fourth quarter of my presidency,” Obama said, adding that he feels more “loose and relaxed than ever” with less than two years left in office. The president said he doesn’t have a “bucket list,” but does have something that rhymes with that. “Take executive action on immigration? Bucket.”
“Being president is never easy,” Obama said. “I still have to fix a broken immigration system, issue veto threats, negotiate with Iran, all while finding time to pray five times a day.”
On Dick Cheney’s assertion that Obama is the worst president of his lifetime, the president said that is “interesting, because I think Dick Cheney is the worst president of my lifetime.”
And there was the inevitable Hillary Clinton joke: “For many Americans, this is still a time of deep uncertainty. For example, I have one friend, just a few weeks ago, she was making millions of dollars a year and she is now living out of a van in Iowa.”
Obama welcomed the night’s host, Cecily Strong, who plays CNN’s Brooke Baldwin on Saturday Night Live. “Usually the only people impersonating journalists on CNN are journalists on CNN,” he said.
The current and potential 2016 Republican presidential field did not emerge unscathed, with jokes about Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, Donald Trump and more. Obama said he couldn’t wait to see who the Koch brothers pick.
And don’t forget about Hillary Clinton’s potential competition from the left, Sen. Bernie Sanders. “Some folks want to see a pot smoking socialist in the White House,” he said. “We could get a third Obama term after all!”
Finally, the president did the unthinkable, bringing out his anger translator Luther, AKA Keegan-Michael Key from Key & Peele, who took the “serious” part of Obama’s speech and let everyone know what he was really thinking. But by the end, Obama got angry all on his own, no translation needed.

If only Reagan had chosen Paul Laxalt instead of GHWB for VP. Now we’re stuck with the mess the Bushes have made all over the place (and make no mistake, Senior gave us Bubba and Dubya gave us Zero).

As for GWorthless, it was torture seeing our boys killed and maimed, several a day by IEDs, and Rumsfeld saying “you don’t go to war with the army you want, you go with the army you have.”

The s.o.b. just rubbed everyone’s nose in it. He’s a muslim and even admits it. He admitted it while running the first time yet people still voted for him.
I have a relative who posted a picture of Magilla on one of those stupid sites with the caption “This is my lovely first lady.” This is one of the many relatives I no longer speak to and hope to live long enough to piss on their grave.

Just watched the two speeches. Obama’s was better. He had a good joke writer. But check out his face between the jokes. It’s so cold.
Cicely Strong is a lightweight with mostly quite poor delivery. She is a low info liberal and her jokes were all against the right, and not even funny. The best thing about her was watching her lift those 19 lb fake eyelashes to look into the camera. I’ve lost all respect for her, not because she is an empty headed lib, but becusse she is really not very good at comedy, or even delivering written jokes.
I did LOL maybe four times, about twice in each speech.
