After Ambassador J. Chris Stevens was killed in the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did not even know his name.
New emails released today show that Ms. Clinton thought the Ambassador's name was "Chris Smith," and referred to him as such in two separate emails.
The first, sent by Ms. Clinton from her secret "Hrod17" email at 11:38 pm, had the subject of "Chris Smith" and asked if the State Department should announce his death:
In response, Cheryl Mills, the Counselor and Chief of Staff to Secretary Clinton, did not correct the mistake and told Ms. Clinton to wait.
Two minutes later, Clinton responded, still with the incorrect name of "Chris Smith:"

This assertion is ridiculous. ‘Chris Smith’ was her obvious code name instead of using his REAL name.
Official call to Mrs. Smith.
OFFICIAL: “Are you the mother of Chris Smith”?
MRS. SMITH: “Yes, is there something wrong”?
OFFICIAL: Yes, I afraid there is ma’am, he has been killed, I’m terribly sorry for your loss”

If his first name of his code name was also Chris, that’s an awful codename. It’s still looks bad on her part.

(And before someone brings it up, “Dubya” didn’t give himself that name, and there was a good reason to use it... to distinguish him from his father)

I thought Ambassador Stevens was her good friend? She felt so bad because she was the ONE who had sent her good friend Chris Smith,err,Stevens into Benghazi.
