EXCLUSIVE: Tea Party Founder: Rush, I Love You, But You’re Dead Wrong About Marco Rubio…

"Rush, I love you, but you're dead wrong about Marco Rubio - he's a sleazy snake and his electability is a myth." ~ Keli Carender, Founder of the modern day American Tea Party movement

I love Rush Limbaugh. I'm not afraid to admit it. I am a 30-something Ditto Head. He's one of my heroes, and always will be. Therefore, it pains me to write this, but it must be done. I can't listen to this defense of Marco Rubio as a full-throated conservative any longer without going a little crazy. So, here it goes. Rush, I love you, but you're wrong about Rubio's conservatism, and wrong to think that he has a good chance to win in November.

I feel confident in predicting that millions of conservatives will not vote for Marco Rubio should he become the Republican nominee for President. There are too many conservatives that don't trust him, and refuse to choose between the lesser of two evils yet again. And we are correct in our distrust of Marco Rubio. He is not the conservative he claims to be, and he will lose to Hillary or Bernie because a great enough number of conservatives and tea partiers will stay home rather than vote for him. It's not just the starring role Rubio played in the Gang of Eight, though considering the transformational nature of mass amnesty, it certainly is enough to rule out ever voting for him. It's also his lack of integrity and willingness to lie to us over and over again that will cause so many of us to vote third party, write in a name, or leave it blank in November. Seriously, at least Jeb! is honest and up front about his non-conservative opinions.

Not sure what you mean, but I will vote for any Republican nominee, even if I have to hold my nose, to avoid a Hitlery presidency.

I haven't listened much to Rush lately, but only from what I read on FR. He can't do anything right for anyone can he? First some said he was thumping for Trump....then not

Then some said he was thumping for Cruz....then not

Then some said he was thumping for Rubio....then not

During each one of these threads, one after another bashed Rush because he was thought to be supporting the one they didn't want.

Give the guy a break....can't please everyone and he should not try....this is one heck of a race, Rush is sure to make somebody mad at any given time. Tale it with a grain of salt and move on.

Phyllis Schlafly knows more about conservatism and Mario Rubio than anybody else. I’ll go with her over Rush every time and twice on Sunday.

Phyllis Schlafly: Disqualify Marco Rubio for Lying About Amnesty in Spanish

http://www.breitbart.com ^ August 18, 2015 Katie McHugh
Posted on 2/4/2016, 2:59:01 PM by NKP_Vet

Phyllis Schlafly, architect of the modern conservative movement and tireless opponent of mass immigration, says GOP hopeful Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% should be disqualified from the race for dishonestly saying one thing about amnesty in English and another in Spanish.

“If Jeb’s candidacy falters despite the $114 million he raised, the establishment’s next choices, Sen. Marco Rubio and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, have basically similar views,” she wrote in her Monday World Net Daily column:

Kasich said the 12 million illegals should be “legalized once we find out who they are,” and Rubio said Obama’s executive amnesty “can’t be terminated because there are already people benefiting from it.”

Rubio’s statement was made in Spanish on the Spanish-language network Univision, which is reason enough to eliminate him from serious consideration. When somebody is running for president of the United States, why should we have to get somebody to translate his remarks into English?

Why indeed? Bilingualism has corroded political discourse rather than strengthened it. Lying in a different language is a becoming bipartisan pastime. Democratic Rep. Luis Gutirrez mocked Kathryn Steinle’s death during a Spanish Telemundo interview, calling it a “little thing.” Steinle was allegedly murdered by an illegal alien. Gutierrez exploded with rage when an expert immigration witness calmly called him out during a congressional hearing.

There are two sides in the battle for the survival of the United States: The establishment vs. the outsiders.

It is NOT Republican vs. Democrat and Rush should know this.

The leaders of the outsiders include Trump, Cruz, and (maybe) Carson. They are supported by a huge chunk of the American people including almost all of the remaining patriots. Trump and Cruz are locked in a struggle to the death for leadership of this side of the battle.

The establishment includes all of the top leadership of both parties, nearly the entire media, and nearly all the mega donors. They are supported by the entire gimmedat population, the environmental wackos, liberals of every flavor, and almost the entire ruling class.

The establishment thought they had the skids greased for Bush, but that has failed. It appears Rubio may step into Bush’s shoes but that is not yet certain.

This seems so simple to understand that we almost take it for granted. But Rush does not seem to get it.

Instead, Rush has given all out support to Rubio.

So... Either Rush has not figured out something that should be obvious, or he has decided to side with the establishment.

Conservatism is not unilateral.

There are social conservatives.
And fiscal conservatives.
And military conservatives.
And immigration conservatives.
And cheap labor express conservatives.

Rubio is very suspicious on immigration.
Cruz is weak on cheap labor issues (his votes on TPP)
Trump is a late comer to social conservatism.
Carson is very weak on immigration issues.

That statement says it all about where the writer is coming from.

That doesn't mean she supports Jeb. She's merely recognizing that Jeb is honest in his intentions.

I agree with you that they’re many types of Conservatives. I have my suspicion that Rubio do not belong to any type of Conservatives that you listed. He’s a fake since he’s not putting up a fight for any issues Conservatives care about in Senate

This Rush thing is getting ridiculous. Just over the past couple of days, I’ve seen FReepers squawking, “He’s in the tank for Trump!” “He’s endorsing Cruz!” Now it’s Rubio. People, just because he said something complimentary about a candidate in that portion of the show you listened to doesn’t mean he’s endorsing anybody!

Rush has said countless times over the years he NEVER endorses anyone in the primaries.

You are exactly right.

And many, many times you can hear him adopting the persona of a hypothetical politician or voter: “Rubio is a conservative guy, he votes for conservative issues all the time...”

That isn’t supposed to be Rush talking, it’s his impression of somebody out there on the Fruited Plain.

I’ve been away from the radio for several days now and really don’t know if he has been praising Rubio...I have seen transcripts though that suggest he certainly has been defending Rubio. Not in the sense of an endorsement but in putting him out there as not the worst choice, anyhows.

To me Rubio is close to the worst choice. I just don’t trust him a “smidge” (as certain famous pansies like to say) and I am surprised that Rush seems to feel otherwise.

And you’re a fool if you don’t vote for the Rep. nominee.
Unless you’re looking forward to seeing & hearing Madame Pres Clinton every day for the next 4 years.

I get the impression that the populist anti-illegal, anti-capitalist people just can bring themselves to the reality of what the term conservative means.

They bring their low information to their opinion of Rubio.

Ted Cruz is far better than Rubio from a conservative, and certainly from a libertarian perspective. But Rubio is far better than Bush, McCain or Romney.

Getting in the Ted Cruz ground game is the only thing that matters if you want someone a better conservative than Rubio.

Wow.

“Tea Party Founder” (misspelling TEA, BTW) is rather bold.

I also like the “Exclusive” part, when the author is also the subject

RUBIO is fooling Rush like a first wife (or first husband, to be gender neutral) does to a callow youth before wisdom & experience sets in. Rush is for some strange reason SMITTEN WITH RUBIO and, therefore, overlooks his MANY, MANY red flags.

The problem with Trump is he wants to deport the illegal ( at great cost) only to expedite them back into the country. That is creating millions of new Democrat voters.

Cruz says he’ll deport them and he will NOT let them come back. Why reward people who broke our laws with citizenship?

Rush has carried water for the cause for almost 30 years.

I don’t listen too much now because I think he’s lost a step after drug business, heart attack and hearing loss. He doesn’t take care of himself and it’s evident during the show.

But that guy was all we had for a lot of years, and he gave it his all.

If you’ve done one ten-thousandth of what he’s done for conservatism, I’d love to hear about it.

"Rush, I love you, but you're dead wrong about Marco Rubio

Dear Keli Carender

I don't love you nor do I care what you have to say but you obviously don't listen to Rush on a regular basis which is evident in your attempt to pick and choose his statements and interpret them in your own way.

Rush is on record in stating why he is not attacking Rubio, Cruz, Trump or any of the other candidates.

Specifically, there is no need for members of our own party to attack and eviscerate every candidate who does not meet the 100% perfection status that the purists are demanding.......

You want to attack Trump? You want to attack Cruz? You want to attack Rubio? Go right ahead, the MSM has your back and is laughing all the way to the election...........

The voting members of the Republican party are its own worst enemy.........

And Keli Carender is nothing but another journalist hack..........
