No, I think I'll just wait until this thing crashes, and then get a brand-new one, with all the bells-and-whistles and scanner and stuff--but no point in getting a new home computer until the old one is all used up.

I can't recommend Alienware enough. Not only do you get all the bells and whistles but you get an little alien with glowing red eyes to boot!

Beth is dipping her toes back into the DUmmyland pool of cash. She is posting on that thread that she has not yet asked permission to resume fundraising from Skinner yet, first she needs to gather what Andy's continued needs are. Another poster, Amazona, is slapping her down. Watch out Amazona, you do not want to get tombstoned.
Wonder how long Amazona will last? But maybe she's part of the group takin back the DUmp from the FOA.
She has lasted quite a while already. I'm curious to know what PMs are being sent in response to her.

Too many bad feelings as it is. An attorney should have set up a bank account to receive donations long ago. At this time we still don't have any accountability as to where the money is going.
I was emailed these posts that Andy supposedly made in October 2002.
With my income in the high four figures, I don't appreciate that I was asked for money (and sent money) for an heir to $70,000, pretty much an undreamed-of sum for me. In fairness to everyone who feels that they were misled about the need, please no more individual fund-raising on DU. I don't doubt that Andy is ill, and I hope he gets well soon, but I don't think it is right that the money has not been accounted for. People who pretend to be his friends, yet do not insist that he get proper legal assistance in handling his fund-raising and the funds, are not being a friend to him in the long run. He cannot be an effective spokesperson for anything if he is embroiled in an investigation or a trial for possible mis-use or diversion of some of the funds.
Forgive me for speaking up, but we were told that this issue was NOT to be discussed on DU...and for exactly this reason. Every time the issue is raised, people start dropping hints to raise more $$$ and the lack of proper legal paperwork again arises. I don't know how to do a screenshot but the text of the posts were as followed, both by Andy.
Here's October 16, 2002:

I wonder if they are going to do the next fundraiser through an attorney or bank? Beth should be setting this up now. I wonder if the WA AG/SOS is satisfied with the way this fundraiser was handled, meaning the case is closed. It appears this way if they are going to start fundraising again. Unless Beth isn't letting on what is really going on behind the scenes.
Will there be any updates from the Scamdy.com site as to what is going on in the investigation? I know they can't divulge info due to compromising the investigation, but it sure would be nice to know what is going on with it and the numerous individual complaints.

The DUmmies have no idea about the SoS or anything else. Beth is just feeding them lines, trying to stop questioning.
On a related note, I guess the DUmmies must be OK with no bid contracts being given to Haliburton as well. There was simply no time to go through the process.
