I will continue praying for a miracle healing for you, Jim. And I hope your special recliner arrives soon. Sleeping in your wheelchair just sounds so very uncomfortable. :-(

Thank you Mama_Bear. The recliner arrived this afternoon. I’m sitting in it now typing away on my laptop with my legs propped up high. And I can motor the back down to horizontal. Should be able to work and sleep in this thing. It’s like living the Life of Riley.
After hearing Jim's description of his problems and the doctor's prognosis, I feel pretty optimistic that they will be able to stop the deterioration. I'm thanking the Lord Jesus now for what I know He can do.

Woo Hoo! Praise the Lord! Confort at last! I’m so glad you got the recliner. LOL, I can just see you propped up there with your laptop. Can’t keep a computer geek away from his baby for long. I pray for you a restful nights sleep, Jim.
Great! Then one of my prayers has been answered! It sounds like it will be so much more comfortable for you. I hope that being able to rest more comfortably and being able to keep your legs elevated will help speed your recovery.

You may be able to sleep more than a couple of hours tonight.
When you elevate your legs in the recliner, are you in as much pain as you were when you just propped your legs up?
I’m praying that this will do the trick and start reducing some of the swelling.
I agree with you Nan! Thank you, Kitty, for saying so beautifully what I *feel* but could never put into words the way you do. You have touched me with your faith so many times, you are a blessing to many of us who have come to know you here on FR.

Strangely enough, my feet and legs hurt more when they’re elevated. That’s why I haven’t been able to sleep in a bed. As soon as I get flat the pain starts, and it’s too hard for me to keep getting up and down in bed. With the electric recliner I’ll be able to pop an ibuprofen capsule, lie back and easily sit up again if it starts hurting too bad. If I have to sleep sitting up, at least I’ll be more comfortable in the recliner. But I’m going to try to keep my feet elevated for as long as I can stand it. As they say, no pain, no gain.
I'm So Thankful to our Lord, and will be Praying you can Get More Sleep Now, Jim. So Very Grateful for His Mercies.
