This video is an inspiration for our constitutional rights.
He is a baptist pastor who knows his constitution.
I don't blame the border patrol...but they should know the laws better
and i've had an incident with a cop lying on his police report and arresting me for the lie so i'm sympathetic to this ....watch the whole 27 minutes its well worth it
geez no replies?? we need to shoot this video to glen beck
This guy is a complete idiot. Antagonizing just for the sake of antagonizing. I believe he is a preacher believe it or not.
related question: When I board airplanes in south Texas, I usually see Border Patrol agents asking if people are citizens. What’s that all about? Can they demand proof, i.e. passport?
Office of Border Patrol has a tough job, and it serves no good cause when gentlemen like this are unreasonably difficult for no other purpose than to provoke a reaction.
I agree. He claimed to be in such a hurry to get to work, yet he wasted nearly a half hour of his time acting like an ass.
The law has been established for literally hundreds of years that border officials (ie, Customs & Border Protection, of which the Office of Border Patrol is a part) fulfil the requirements of the Fourth Amendment simply by proximity to the border. Remember, the amendment is against *unreasonable* searches and seizures, not *all* searches and seizures.
What an idiot. Hope they throw the book at him. He’s Baptist alright,,,like those from the westboro church that protest funerals. That loser inconvenienced all those people behind him.
They should have busted the window out and extracted him for arrest. Obnoxious. GO USBP!!
And Im a good baptist boy, many years now. Never saw a “preacher” like him.
Hard to imagine that this video is particularly inspirational.
i think he just did it to test out his constitutional rights and if you’ve got nothing to hide you’ll be fine
but i salute this guy...he shouldn’t have to get searched without any sort of real reasoning...i mean people have lives and don’t want to deal with a search
i’m glad he won this battle and i mean the patrol officer said he had no rights...these guys don’t know the law a lot of the times...you guys give way too much respect to the badge they are just regular guys a lot of the time
He's fighting for you and for me. Do you say the same thing about our soldiers in Iraq?

My wife is retired from the USBP and said they ran into this kind of idiot about twice a day. Remember this jerkoff next time you see a post about how the USBP is not doing enough and remember how much time and resource he consumed by not opening his window and saying "good morning".
and a badge tends to create situations where those in power abuse their power
from time to time its on us the citizens to remind them of our rights
remember ultimate power corrupts and a lot of these guys simply are stewards of the state simply funneling in revenue and abusing folks for nothing
Uh...fascinating, I think.
Those of us who don’t travel or live in border states don’t deal with stuff like this, for the most part. I wasn’t aware that the “border” included areas within 100 miles of the actual border.
That comparison is laughable and you should be embarrassed. I know a bit about the law and this guy is wrong on so many levels.
All he’s fighting for is for dopers and terrorists to pass checkpoints by saying he wont cooperate. This pussy is nothing like our brave soldiers.
oh come on they should have built a wall 8 years ago...the border patrol’s job would be a hell of a lot easier
I’m utterly shocked that this is the response so far from free republic
no wonder obama is our president
Some Border Patrol! Did you see all the guys milling around there? Why not place them along the Rio Grande with machine guns instead of these absurd internal checkpoints. Hell, they could just go to the local McDonalds by me tomorrow morning where the shape up is for the illegals in the area. It's not hard to tell who obviously isn't and who might be.

WTO protester type. Probably a liberal.
