FreeRepublic censorship?

I am a bit bothered by this repeated encounter with censorship on your site. This is the second time that I have encountered censorship on your site. The first time was when I was removed from being allowed to post for expressing that FOX News does not represent true conservatism, and it doesn’t.

John Robinson sent me one kind email saying that the reason was that they typically get trolls and identify them for attacking FOX News. The second email that came from John immediately after was that he wished me the best of luck if I tried to expose the censorship on FreeRepublic against conservatives that apparently exists if you do not bow to the current politicians in power and owe your loyalty to the now less than conservative Republican party. That was rather rude, but I did not pay it much mind.

Today I was surfing and came across a site I do not agree with on all levels, but tried to make a post about some revealing facts that presented on their site about the perversity of Disney.

What was the result of my trying to make this post?

I got a message saying the source was not welcome on FreeRepublic.

As a conservative who would put any average Republican to shame with my traditional values and economic view that makes Reagan look like a two-bit haircut in a black and white movie, I would love to hear why this one is censored. And, as I told John, I can easily take these issues straight to conservatives who do not feel that Club GOP represents conservatism on the Internet with my web development skills.

Here is what I tried to post

I also just noticed that your site has made it impossible to highlight text in fields for posting in trying to copy and paste this link. On the one hand, I do believe in driving out stupidity from the Internet. On the other hand, I believe that only liberal leftist propaganda need be removed. I am beginning to wonder what makes FreeRepublic think that one conservative is acceptable rather than another. I think that conservatives like me would be interested to know the limitations you have obviously coded into publication on your site.

As I said, I do not agree with everything I read on the site I tried to link, but they did a very good job of exposing Disney on the link above.

Think about it.

Thank you for your kind reply. I will take heed of it.

As for the other replies, I realize that a site has the right to control content, but I just had the feeling maybe that FR was giving the shaft too easily. There is a certain level of trust that allows one to post viable content, but I guess my complaint is that automating this process to exclude certain sources is not exactly wise. I have to wonder how in the world they came around to censoring the source I tried to use.

As for other remarks, I will just forgive them if need be. Sorry, I don’t comb through my political convictions as if I am a GOP politician. The conservative majority in my opinion is not a part of Club GOP. Republican Senators are wimps when faced by their Democratic opponents, and that is what grieves me the most. Either they are wimps or they are in bed with them.

You should feel honored that Mr. Robinson took his valuable time and offered you an explanation. Consider yourself an esteemed minority here for that, alone.

Kudos to JohnRob! (although ImperialistDaddy didn’t deserve the kindness)

So, you consider yourself to be head and shoulders above any of us in your Conservatism, do ya’? And, yet, you make a comparison of “a two-bit haircut in a black and white movie” to Ronald Reagan? Pfftt!

I am want to call you names, many names. None of them nice, or repeatable in mixed company or where children are present. But, I won’t. You’d only enjoy it.

Now, be gone, impostor, your ambrosia is overwhelming.

I would love to hear why this one is censored.

Because this is a respectable place. The owner, and the vast majority of don't appreciate stupid ass conspiracy theories that waste page space and band width; in addition to making us all look like kooks.

We're all happy that you make Ronald Reagan look like a piker in the conservatism department. I'm sure there's some Lyndon LaRouche site that will welcome you with open arms.

Yes, I do consider myself above Club GOP, and proud of it. Reagan only reduced taxes to a mere relative twenty percent, and for the glory he received for that I think that is a shame to consider him a conservative icon. What’s the matter? Never had anyone tell you that what you believe is misled before?

You really are full of yourself, aren’t you? You shall burn in liberal hell for that. I’ll provide the matches.

Don’t bother replying. I’ve activated my crackhead, anti-troll, spam filter, so I won’t see it, anyway.

One of many narrow views of conservatism. I would love to have all of my paycheck, and be able to decide exactly what I am going to pay to the government and what parts of it. This is actually my right in the Constitution.

Not pointing any fingers, but this train has only one track, and it is not exactly on track.

Such vehemence for a tad of criticism is not entirely civil, and it only reinforces the fact that I have long believed that the Internet is a place to only pit one troll against another. I can’t believe I lowered myself to make an appeal to anyone about this here that were not given the same attention to reasons why they felt the way they did.

Once a site has been determined to be a bad source, it is perfuectly logical to automatically disallow posts from it. DU comes to mind, as well as any source which has forbidden FR from linking etc ... - it is not the job of the site to justify this - it is YOUR job to find good sources ...

That being said, somebody kick me if I ever get on another durn birther thread. Its like a itchy scab. You want to give it one quick scratch and get off and before long you are tearing your skin to pieces and making the hole bigger. And you want to stop, but there’s just one more stupid comment you want to respond to, first.

But then somebody brings up Obama’s sister’s alleged phony COLB, and then you see some other poor freeper trying to whack some sense into them, and you feel guilty just leaving him there to be pecked to death by ducks, so you dart in to blunt some of the nibbles... Oh you know what I mean.

parsy, who wishes he could go back in time and steal Orly’s law course application out of the mailbox

Oh, it's much worse than you think.

"Censorship" is the least of your worries.
What you really have to watch out for...

Oh my. I remember those nights. I think they invented infa-feeders when I had my first. That was a real life saver. Squirt the pablum in, burp, rock, and back to sleep. But, enjoy them while you can. They grow up so fast.

parsy, who sympathizes
