It had to be some sort of cover strategy. Snowe and Brown are on the ballot in 2012...this is one less RINO blot on their records.
I am so confused!! Does somebody have a simple timeline? Ever since the 59 but not 60 voted to table which meant X and then they fillibuster their own bill and then 6 Repubs, some staunch non-Rinos vote w/ Reid, and then the House tables Reid’s bill BEFORE the Senate approves it and now Boehner and McConnell have been in discussion with Obama and are expressing total confidence a deal will be made?

In addition, a Democrat President served with this majority until Jan, 2011. They literally crammed the health law down our throats.

OK—I don’t know the whole story, but if DeMint and Paul both voted a certain way, I am certainly giving them the benefit of a doubt until I understand it better.
As I understand the “rules” of the game in the Senate, if you vote against a bill that fails to pass, you can call it back up again later and call for a revote.
That may have been the strategy. Don’t know.
Going nowhere is good. If they can't agree on a debt ceiling increase, then the government can't borrow money. It's as good as a 'Balanced Budget' amendment. Congress can't spend more than the revenues coming in. Problem solved.
You forgot to put an apostrophe at the end of the word "Others." The correct spelling is: other's.
The rule for apostrophe use is that every word that ends with the letter "s" must have an apostrophe.

That unnecessary apostrophe crap drives me nuts, too. The apostrophe "fad" is just a few years old. For some damn reason, illiterate morons just suddenly started using apostrophes at the end of every other word. I don't get it.
Thanks for the spelling lesson. Now how about taking a lesson in keeping on task, watching the ball in congress, and quit nit picking miniscule, non issue distractions.
