My friend out in New Mexico set up an automatic game camera aimed at his water pans he puts out for birds. This is a snap he got last night of a Bobcat carrying a hapless mouse...it's very cute :-)
Now thats funny.
Maybe a young mexican wood rat. They can be be very pesky. I had one (or more) who destroyed my tomato plants a couple of years ago (took a game trail camera to find out what it was; Darn thing seemed more like a vandal than wanting to just eat.).
Like Proud Fossil, I have spy/game cameras all over the gulch, for the same reasons. I get the occasional bobcat, and once, even a mountain lion.... But never any photos or videos as good as Babalu’s friend’s. I wonder what brand / model of camera it is.... Must be a strobe flash instead of infrared.
WTH? Dusty.
That thing looks half wolf and half black panther.
Nice pictures.... Thanks.
I think you’re right. Too big to be a mouse. Poor thing anyway but such is the way of the creatures great and small God has put on this Earth.
She was Adams first wife. Sorry, couldn’t resist. :-)
Hmmm..... looks like she tamed you pretty well. :-)
Such a nice kitty!
Well, her saved life was a miracle and a blessing. Thanks for sharing the pics. They are very special.
LOL, that’s very cute. I think we all feel that way sometimes.
I love the cat in that shot, he looks like he’s honestly listening.
Lilith was a beauty! How long did she live? And was she indoor only or indoor/outdoor? I’d love to hear any stories you feel like telling!
And who (or rather, WHAT) is that big black fellow? Lilith’s offspring?
Catz gotta be entertained.
How many times did he release and recatch before consuming?
I had a kitten with thumbs. What she did not have in smarts, she made up in thumbs. Actually, poor thing tripped over her thumbs as she walked.
He says it’s a Cuddeback camera.
Thanks-
That is one brand I haven’t tried.
I was at a gun shop when a hunter brought in a bobcat he had taken earlier that evening, where he was going to meet the taxidermist. The stench of the musk on that cat was really unbelievably. Imagine 20 cats using the same litter box, and not cleaning it for 10 years. That approximates the stench. The guy stepped into the shop and immediately had everyone shouting at him to get the hell out. He was in the shop for less that 15 seconds, and everybody had to evacuate, and even outside, at a distance,it was overpowering.
