4 Quadrupole Magnetic Shift in Sun Mimics Mini Ice Ages
Mainichi News Japan ^ | 4/20/2012 | Mainichi News

Apparently, the magnetic shifts in the Sun mimic those that occurred during the mini-Ice Ages of the 17th century, reports the Japanese Astronomical society. They also claim that this is the reason for the "halting" in the progress of global warming. Basically the sun's magnetic field has shifted from a straight N-S configuration -

to a N-Equator Equator-S, 4 pole configuration

This supposedly occurred during the 17/18th century and was responsible for the mini Ice Age.

Interesting stuff. Loose translation by me.

Cool, if true.

The sun doesn’t have a simple north south magnetic pole. It has literally hundreds of constantly shifting poles.

The upshot is that the warmingistas are gonna seize on this report and declare that AGW is still alive and well and will return in spades once this phenomena fades. I see it now: “Don’t be lulled into a false sense of security! We will abandon our efforts at the peril of future generations!”

Kind of like Warsaw.

You do not understand. As a Dr of Cretinology Grad from the Al Gore School of advanced idiocy (located in a dumbsteer adjacent to the Gore mansion), I state without doubt that you morons have it backwards...global warming caused the sun’s magnetic field to go into a phase of self-oscillation that will quickly result in the earth warming at a rate of 1 degree per hour.

We’re doomed, we’re doomed.

And any doubters must be stupid.

I have spoken!

Sun had a big solar flare a couple of days ago. Video here:

I need a grant to study this.

And college professors will be demanding huge government grants to study how to change the sun's magnetic field back and keep it there forever.

Lest you think this is a joke, be advised that many AGWish professors have been studying, at tremendous expense, how to turn the oceans into the a "carbon trap," thereby reducing the carbon in the atmosphere and stopping or reversing the man-induced warming.

That includes my former graduate school advisor, once a very respectable scientist. Hundreds of thousands per year, several graduate students, and a budget that allows him to galavant around the globe to all the Global Warming technical conferences.

How did they determine the Sun’s magnetic poles in the 17th century?

So who was it that was tracking the sun's magnetic shifts in the 17th century?

“Stop looking behind the curtain!”

I just finished my paper on 15th century shark migration off West Africa, and so I’m looking for another research project, and a grant. And a line-item carveout, with travel plus per diem. Life is tough.

>過去の太陽の観測結果を調べたところ、黒点の増減周期や磁場構造が、地球が寒冷期だった17〜18世紀と酷似していた。 In comparison to astrological observations done in the past, sunspot size observations and magnetic reorganizations indicate a status somewhat like the 17th and 18th centuries. That's the furthest the article goes in explanation of.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t kidding. You can’t laugh at this stuff — way too many morons chasing dollars in the name of ‘science’ with the intent on suppressing capitalism... especially ours.

They did a lot of stuff in the Edo period.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edo_period

Times were odd then. If you examine the ink prints from that time, several oddities are noteworthy.

1) Lots o’ demons. Yep, up to their eyebrows in demons of all varieties. Often recognizable because they had their tongues sticking out.

2) Enormous genitalia. Both men and women had genitals about 10 times larger than modern men and women. It is not known why.

3) Tea ceremonies. Often lasting for years, this was preferential as something, anything other than just listening to the continual rain.
