Almost four years ago Rush had chest pains during a vacation in Hawaii. He received the best possible care, and all turned out well. He revealed that he does not have health insurance and pays out of pocket, negotiating the best rate. Will Rush take this opportunity to be the civil rights leader of the 21st century and engage in civil disobedience? Will he tell Pharaoh Obama to let his people go!
In each case the reference to “what Rush said” left out the full show content with his usual on balance type of comments. He said Romney was a “nice man” and then said nothing would work if we don’t vote. Levin said the same thing.
In each election, Rush has said the polls are not predictive or definitive, in fact in this election saying the polls are virtually useless because they do not access a true statistical sample— of real people. He’d castigate polle even as he would lamely cheer on yet another put up candidate for the team. Boortz on the otherhand is giving up on RINOland, and selfrighteously going to register Libertarian— a truly pointless exercise.
” Freepers like you”? Speak for yourself— you’ve no idea who I am, what business I own or anything else.
Would say what is more puzzling is why Rush will not pursue the voter fraud issue— which was present in 08 and this one along with illegal money of a sort that is mostly likely foreign sourced. With all of Romney’s money— why didn’t he? Answer: just like McCain he didn’t want it enough to go after obama. What was needed is a scrapper.
He clearly said to ignore all the polls that showed that Romney was losing because they were not true, because Romney was going to beat Obama
Talk radio giant Rush Limbaugh says that Sen. John McCain will score a stunning upset over Sen. Barack Obama and win the presidency on Nov. 4
[Rush] Limbaugh Predicts McCain Victory (NewsMax ^ | October 31, 2008 | David A. Patten, FR thread link )
The enthusiasm that got people out in 2010, I'm seeing at every Mitt Romney rally. Romney's drawing crowds of 20,000, 25,000, 30,000, 15,000. The enthusiasm that we all saw in 2010 is there. The same issues that existed in 2010 exist today. There hasn't been anything that's gotten better.

Don't Doubt me LOL
Lol, Rush “The Confidence Man” selling the same old same old. Good job finding this.
Rush is an entertainer, and I (who listen infrequently) usually find him entertaining.
Other than that, I don’t care about him or worry over what he does, and he represents nothing to me other than diversion.
I can’t speak for the rest of his audience, but neither can anyone else.
I actually heard one of his shows years back and he said he pays cash for all his medical stuff. Don’t know about now but I doubt he will comply with odumbocare.
And what if the feds go after the doctors that treat those paying cash? Big fines, lawsuits, etc.?
They can arrest me. I will never pay the fine. FUBO.
Limbaugh can’t be taken seriously any longer. He was once an important figure. A long time ago.
I for one was not disputing that Rush thought Mitt would win this year- but the tenor of his program during the 08 season was much different. It was one of trying to drag Yosemite Sam across the finish line - against long long odds.
AUGUST? That’s not even the campaign season? What kind of small picture, bureaucratic left brained type B smarm are you? He says a lot of things from time to time, but there’s such a thing as the whole body of work. You are so small minded you don’t get that.
And I said, you ignorant obuse ass, that right after the Palin nomination he did have a period of optimism. But you’re just delusional if you think, on the whole, during all of the 08 season, that he was optimisitc. He was not.
He’s on the air three hours a day and says a lot of things, but taken on the whole, analyzed by any adult with an IQ above double digits, his feelings of McCain’s chances were decidedly negative.
Let me type slower so you can perhaps follow along: on the whole, taking his whole body of work for the 08 campaign, he was not optimisitc about McCain. Certainly not at all like he was this year. Again, just in case your microbial brain cannot wrap itself around the concept, you might be able to comb his archives for a statement here or there to the contrary, but no one on the planet who listens regularly during that time would come to the conclusion that the overall tenor of the program is that McCain was going to win.
You don’t understand what Newsmax is or how they operate iwth their email blasts. They are always taking little bits and pieces of headlines as teasers ALWAYS. WHY? Because they get paid PER CLICK by their advertisers when people OPEN their email blasts. YES, paid per click to OPEN.
Now, to get peiple to open, they have to tease with COUNTER INTUIVITE and dramatic statements to pique interest.
I AM IN THIS INDUSTRY. I KNOW HOW IT WORKS.. You are NOT and you DO NOT.
DONT DOUBT ME>>>>>LOL LOL LOL
That’s a lie. Rush called it a bad lie several years ago when a lib caller mentioned it.
I looked at some 2008 transcripts, and I found some evidence supporting your assertion that Limbaugh was not really for McCain, but instead was against Obama. In the same way, I voted in 2012 not really for Romney, but rather against Obama.
I have agreed with Limbaugh on some issues, but sometimes I think he is simply wrong. I don't take him that seriously, but he can be entertaining.
So just think of my ping to you as FYI.
Be. Interesting to see what would happen if tens of millions just said NO. We’re not spending thousand of dollars /yr on health insurance.
BTW. Rush....and all those guys probably are already in with these guys...
10-4...no problem.
As an aside, going back and looking at a transcript here or a transcript there is illustrative to a point, but does not give you the over all tenor of the show over a period of weeks or months. Rush thought for weeks that Mitt would win, and perhaps comfortably. That is the overall impression of his show, if you listened, and heard the nuance and the context. You could go back and cherry pick archives to both support that and dispute that - taken out of context and without nuance.
In 08, he was hopeful but not optimistic about McCain. Oh, there were moments here and there, but overall, he was down on McCain as a candidate. To anyone who listens, this is not in dispute.
Also, Newsmax is in the business of selling emal blast advertising. They are always twisting and tweaking words of famous people to get people to click on their emails. To quote one of their little blurbs as if it were “news” is to totally misunderstand what they are all about
Ding Ding Ding,You win the Lottery, the Government is going to Pay for Yours,Dont worry, its only the working People collecting any salary who cant afford to pay for health Care who will be fined to Pay for theirs and yours.
Man, You Rush-bots sure get touchy when your Golden Calf gets exposed by his own words :)

Maybe this source is suspicious too:
We Could See a McCain Landslide( Rushlimbaugh.com August 12, 2008)

Another suspicious source (found thanks to ddd):
Everything -- Except the Polls -- Points to a Romney Landslide(Rush Limbaugh.com 11/05/2012 )
Well we know one talk radio host who was pointing to that anyway. One who is usually wrong.
Don't doubt me LOL
