I equate them to gladiators games. My own opinion is they had to make a vehicle to elevate hood rats to make them heroes to the hood kids since education and success in that arena isn’t the first choice.

I estimate I would probably respect about 10% of the men on the field in regards to their decency and what virtue they bring to humanity. I’m not going to shell out several hundred dollars in this crap economy to make millions for the other 90%.

Yet ESPN/NBC/CBS/FoxSports never misses an opportunity to
tell the country that Philly has the worst fans...yeah, right.

It is a good point, too, among those made. The downside is the nauseating commercials. The old guy with the Capital One ad (THIS is Capital One!), or the wise-ass chick talking down to a man “I AM the supervisor), or the black lady who owns a business and says she puts out fires (and at that point she gets an extinguisher to douse a stupid white male’s act), or the Taco Bell ad where the white guy is six times less the man as he watches others play black basketball and he eats on the sideline, or Flo and the Progressive Insurance, or....do I need to continue? I switched the SyFy Twilight Zone marathon last night.

And, oh, extended replays adds to the lengths of games and subtracts from the immediacy of success or peril.

blacks play basketball (my error).

The ads are horrible and I sense some sort of brainwashing attempt.

All the ways people can watch in warmth on various apps…even with black outs.

I think the big screen TV deserves its own mention as a mitigating factor.

Women don’t like displaying their personal items in a clear plastic bag?

Ticket prices too high for the product delivered? (I’ve noticed a lot of empty seats at most of bowl games, as well.)

Concern that the scoring is being manipulated?

How are they manipulating the outcome of the games?

Get the ball on the 30, drive 40 yards, kick a fg, Viagra commercials, kick off, Viagra commercials, 3 and out, punt,

Shhh! Don't give away Green Bay's game plan!

They're going to take this recipe for success from an 8-7-1 record all the way to The Super Bowl.

“Get the ball on the 30, drive 40 yards, kick a fg, Viagra commercials, kick off, Viagra commercials, 3 and out, punt, Viagra commercials. Mix in a bunch of replays and targeting penalties, and I’m ready for my between services nap. I couldn’t imagine sitting in the cold for it.”

I sincerely hope the Viagra commercials aren’t part of the stadium experience.

Nah, Duke earned that head start. Their QB was astonishingly good….it’s absurd that he was the second best QB in the game…and yet, he was. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a game where the combined QB excellence was like it was that game.

Almost every single pass from both was on the friggin money….in crucial situations...

The real Super Bowl will be Denver versus Seattle. I’m a dyed in the wool Green Bay fan, but this is Seattle’s year; the left coast is festering in degeneracy and rising in power.

$10 beer, $150 tickets, when you can watch it on TV?

That's the bottom line I think....

No, seriesly. Look it up. The NFL conducts business under non-profit status.

The NFL is a non-profit because it is operated as a expense for the teams. It costs money to have league offices, officials, marketing, etc. Any money for TV contracts or merchandise licenses is sent to the teams. Thus the NFL Incorporated makes no profit. This is the opposite of most franchisers like McDonald's where both the parent company and the franchisees make profits.

Imagine if the airlines formed a trade association to come up with standards for airports, runways and combined scheduling (and they might have such a trade association). The airlines would be the corporations which made the money, while the trade association wouldn't make a profit. If it did, it would be expected to reduce fees to the member airlines.

The FCC is currently considering pulling the plug on the NFL Blackout Rule. Their reasoning is just dripping in class warfare rhetoric (tickets are too expensive for the Workin’ Man and the NFL remains obscenely profitable, yadda yadda)

Ohhhhhhhh.

No wonder people like Obama get elected.

People brainwash themselves.

Plus you have to wait in line to pee...you are warm, can drink cheap beer, and can pee off your balcony if you have to at home. Why do you think those TV commercial spots are so valuable? Now, if they can just get rid of the announcers!
