I never read the book, but it certainly sounds like a bore-fest.

The book is actually quite good, but not all books translate into movies well. *coughJOHNCARTERcough*

Robert Redford and Nick Nolte.

Is it about gays? What? Matt Dameon and Ben Aflak weren’t available?

Just think: Redford’s “The Company You Keep” which was an excuse for the Weather Underground didn’t offend Hollywood, but “American Sniper” does (because it glorifies killers)....

The book is hilarious. That said, I will avoid this movie in the same way I avoid everything that Redford is involved in.

If you have children, keep them away from it. The movie promotes nominalism....whatever you name as good IS good, whatever you name as evil IS evil.

From the song in the movie:

“Wrong things, right things …

Who can say what’s true? …

Do things, fight things …

You decide, but …

You are not alone …

Witches can be right.

Giants can be good.

You decide what’s right. You decide what’s good.”

Disgusting and sneaky....

I think you’ve (understandably) confused your movies. The song is from “Into the Woods,” a musical which is now on the screen; the movie that’s being discussed here is “A Walk In The Woods.”

You are absolutely right! I WAS thinking of Into the Woods...the shameful Disney movie.

Sorry.

Don’t know if that’s a Disney movie or not, but the show was on Broadway years ago and despite the fairy tale theme I don’t think it was ever put across as a show for children.

But, your advice is well taken. When we went to see “Team America - World Police” in the movies there were people there with little kids with them.

Sorry folks, just because this movie has marionettes doesn’t mean it’s a kids movie.

Anything with Robert Redford is hard to watch, in my opinion. I never understood his popularity.

The book is worth reading, such a pity nobody involved with the screenplay, casting, or production bothered.

The book is great. I loved it. If the movie sucks they just didn’t do it right.

He was good in Little Fauss, Big Halsy, and in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, both released about 45 years ago.
