Exposed: what fracking really does to you, your family, pets and food
The Ecologist ^ | 2-25-2015 | Allison Wilson

The first researchers to systematically document ill health in livestock, pets, and people living near fracking drill sites were Michelle Bamberger and Robert Oswald.

Bamberger, a veterinarian, and Oswald, a professor of molecular medicine at Cornell University, used a case study approach-looking at individual households-to search for possible effects (Bamberger and Oswald 2012).

Many fracking chemicals are known carcinogens, endocrine disruptors or other classes of toxins (Colborn et al. 2011). Bamberger and Oswald's studies, carried out during the ongoing fracking boom, uncovered serious adverse effects including respiratory, reproductive, and growth-related problems in animals and a spectrum of symptoms in humans that they termed "shale gas syndrome".

“used a case study approach-looking at individual households...”
____
A case study using the individual household as the unit of analysis is nothing more than an opinion piece. It won’t show causality much less correlation. Useless.

Can you say "anecdotal evidence?"

The studies against fracking are funded by the environmentalists.

The studies for fracking are funded by the those that are fracking.

Shockingly, the desired results are found by both sides, rendering it all as meaningless. When both sides lie, it is difficult to ascertain the truth.

My blue heeler loves fracking! He’s given up sheep, and now practices herding Priuses into sinkholes. Maybe the evil Koch bros could give him a grant...

*As new research documents the fracking boom’s contribution to global climate change, it has become clear fracking’s climate impact is much greater than originally claimed (Howarth 2014; Schneising et al. 2014).*

What the Frack? In PA, a major fracking state, the temperature for February 2015 is averaging 15 degrees F below normal. That climate change sure ain't global warming where they frack.

Dude. Here's the deal. Keep fighting the good fight but know the deck is stacked against you. The Communists are breaking every law these days, lying with impunity, and winning. We will, as a society, go backwards a few decades, to 1970's Soviet Union. In a generation or two, we'll shake that off, like the USSR did, but we will go to a weak form of socialism, or like Russia did, become a kleptocracy.

And this time they will have these little miniature drones which will crawl or fly into your house and kill you.

There are two such wells in my town. The water’s fine, and no one’s house has blown up as a result of this drilling.

Guilty of not giving the ecologist a click to read the tripe, did they bother to list the carcinogens that are making everyone and his dog sick or did they just say there are carcinogens in the fracking fluids and leave it at that? My guess is they made it up so there are none listed.

BTW, here are a couple of energy execs enjoying a nice carcinogen cocktail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRphniHLHgo
