The guy who 'fixed' Tim Tebow says Tebow spent 18 months relearning how to play quarterback

Even though Tim Tebow left Philadelphia without a contract offer from the Eagles after a workout on Monday, momentum seems to be building for a Tebow comeback attempt.

The 27-year-old quarterback hasn't played in the NFL since 2013, when the New England Patriots cut him before the regular season.

In the 18 months since, Tebow went on to work for ESPN as a college football commentator. But behind the scenes he has been working with Tom House, a California-based quarterback guru who has worked with Tom Brady.

House told Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman that he believed he "fixed" Tebow's throwing motion.

In an interview with Mike Tanier of Bleacher Report, House went into more detail about what exactly he meant.

Here is your original comment:
The Headline begs to ask if Tim Tebow’s Partner was consulted on his “Fixing”....

Please explain what you meant by Tim Tebow’s ‘partner’?

99% of those haters will cool off if Tebow would just come out as an atheist.

Pats fan here. Tenor is a terrific kid and teammate. His mechanics were terrible.

Reading the article it appears that Tom Brady recommended that he put in the work with House to build muscle memory of proper mechanics. Sounds like he did the work.

He is getting a tryout with Chip Kelly, the Eagles O is perfect for Tebow’s skill set if he has becomea good passer as House c
Aims.

BTW House is Brady’s throwing coach.

Not the ones who know anything about football.

Give Tebow credit for not giving up his dream.

I give him a lot of credit, plus he's got the stuff you can't teach......heart, motivation, desire and faith. I think he's going to make it back.

Where have we heard that before?

That was Clarkson......His new coach, Tom House, is correct when he says it takes at least 10,000 repetitions before his mechanics are hard wired. Clarkson never worked with Tebow long enough to have instilled the necessary change.

The same thing is said about women's fast pitch softball, it takes at least 10,000 throws to master a specific pitch.

Tim Tebow is about as solid a Christian man as you will find. Hopefully you see how ignorance and posting don’t mix.

But it's something we've heard before. Tebow is fixed; just wait till you see him. And he failed.

Precisely. He’s just bad. The fact that Steve Young and Roger Staubach were 30 before taking over is irrelevant. They are hall of famers.

Tebow is young enough and appears to be in shape. Plus, we have to assume he’d benefit from a few years of not getting pounded. The question is, can he play???

You’re 100% correct. Forget starting, if he can’t even backup someone crappy, that speaks volumes.

Ask the Jets if they think there’s a glut of starting QBs in the NFL.

Useless statistics.

There is no comparison from college to the NFL. None.

Whatever, I'll keep my faith in Tebow because he's got a hell of a lot more inside him than mechanics..........

If Tebow is as good a professional QB as some think he is,
and can’t get a starting job, there must be enough QBs out there better than he is for the market to overlook him. Or is supply and demand not relevant to pro sports?

And he should continue to channel that in areas where he's good at. The NFL isn't one of them.

I don’t think anyone thinks he’s good. Or he’d have a job. He’s not being overlooked. If he were good, he wouldn’t need this House guy to teach him how to throw.

He’s a good athlete. And in college football, you can play quarterback primarily with your legs. You can’t do that in the NFL. Ask RG III, Kaepernick, Michael Vick, Randall Cunningham, Dante Culpepper, and on and on and on.....

My favorite college team to watch is Navy when they’re playing pure option football. None of that punting on fourth down, either, unless they’re deep in their own territory. It must be what football was like before they started passing.
