Ben Carson Completely Self Destructs and Goes Full Blown Nutter on Fox News
Politics USA ^ | 11/15/2015 | Jason Easley

Posted on 11/16/2015 3:35:35 PM PST by conservativejoy

Fox News Sunday tried to ask Ben Carson some policy questions about the terrorist attack in Paris, and the result was a dose of insanity that include a lectured on brain sizes, and Carson's support for a shooting war with Russia.

Carson was asked four times by host Chris Wallace what his response to the Paris attacks would be if he were president, and he couldn't answer, but the real crazy was yet to come.

In response to the question about whether the US should accept refugees from Syria, Carson went on a rant about the human brain:

WALLACE: The Obama administration has said before that it would accept up to 10,000 Syrian refugees as part of the humanitarian crisis. We now learn that one of these attackers had a Syrian passport that indicated he had been part of the refugee flood into Europe in October. Would you continue that policy?

CARSON: Well, you know, as I've said all along, you know, bringing people into this country from that area of the world I think is a huge mistake. Because why wouldn't they infiltrate them with people who are ideologically opposed to us? It would be foolish for them not to do that. So, we need to be very compassionate to understand that these people have been displaced and we should use our expertise and resources to help get them resettle over there, and to support them over there, but to bring them here under these circumstances is a suspension of intellect.

You know, the reason that the human brain has these big frontal lobes as opposed to other animals, because we can engage in rational thought processing, we can, you know, extract information from the past, the present, process it and project it into a plan. Animals, on the other hand, have big brain stems and rudimentary things, because they react. We don't have to just react, we can think.

Carson took crazy to another level when he suggested getting into a shooting war with Russia in Syria:

WALLACE: Dr. Carson what happens if the Russians respond to that by shooting down one of our planes?

CARSON: I would do that in conjunction with the Turkish forces along the Syrian/Turkish border where a huge number of those refugees located. It's a humanitarian thing to try to provide them a safe haven for now.

WALLACE: But sir, if I may press my-

CARSON: And I would make sure that the Russians understood that we are going to do that.

WALLACE: If I may press my point, what do you do if – after we shoot down a Russian plane, they shoot down one of ours?

CARSON: If they violate it, we will, in fact, enforce it. And, you know, we'll see what happened. You know, too, for us to always be backing down because we are afraid of a conflict, that's not how we became a great nation, Chris.

WALLACE: But you're talking about getting potentially into a shooting war with Russia over Syria?

CARSON: Well, if we established a no fly zone and we make clear the rules, if they violate it, that's why you have a no-fly zone. That's the very definition of a no fly zone. You can't fly there.

Ben Carson was asked policy question about the kind of unexpected crisis that all presidents must deal with, and he showed that he is completely unfit for office.

Rambling about the size of the human brain is not answer to a question about continuing the policy of accepting Syrian refugees. The idea that the United States could get into a shooting war with Russia to protect a no fly zone in Syria was flat out insane.

Over the weekend, top Republicans privately admitted that they viewed both Carson and Trump as unfit to be Commander In Chief. Republicans are terrified that Trump or Carson will win their party's nomination and lead the party to a crushing defeat. After Carson's appearance on Fox News, he appears to be even less sane than Trump.

Ben Carson's success as a presidential candidate demonstrates just how crazy Republican voters have become.

“PoliticusUSA makes Salon look like CATO.”

I heard it on the radio. Carson struggled at best, and was revealed to be nearly illiterate, re. military or national defense concepts.

The author is a left-wing hack and this is a very thinly disguised hit piece.

Easley suggested just this morning that Obama was perfectly correct in saying ISIS was contained, so that’s how reliable he is as a serious commentator.

More ‘gems’ from his Twitter page:
“There Is No One I Would Rather Have at the Helm Today Than President Barack Obama.”

“Make No Mistake About It, George W Bush’s Iraq War Has Spread To France.”

I have yet to hear from anyone why they would vote for Carson other than he is a nice guy or he quotes scripture.

The man is obviously out of his depth and has no understanding what so ever how to be President or run anything.

I watched that Fox program and Carson was quite well reasoned.

Dr Carson on Fox Sunday did a great job.

After jumping between all the candidates, for now I'm for Carson.

Not a Carson fan but this contrived crap is beneath this site.
If you don’t get Carson’s very easy to understand point below, then perhaps you don’t have the lobes he was referring to.

This all makes sense to me (and anyone not intentionally trying to libel a good man):

CARSON: Well, you know, as I’ve said all along, you know, bringing people into this country from that area of the world I think is a huge mistake. What a retarded statement. Brain. Dead. Stupid.

The article was almost entirely the transcript of the interview. I think it demonstrates in Carson’s own words why he is dangerously unprepared for POTUS.

If Ben had any sense at all instead of answering hypothetical questions about risking war with Russia, he'd be asking "Why would we want a no fly zone right now?"

He doesn’t sound well reasoned by suggesting we should shoot down Russian planes who have been given permission by Syria to fly in their air space.

If i was on a lifeboat after a ship sinking and Carson says he must be the leader i would slap his face and possibly subdue him so others would not go all radical and try to eat me after the food is all gone.

I don’t understand this rhetoric from Carson, Fiorina, and Rubio (so far) that we ought to impose a “no-fly zone” over Syria.

Why? ISIS doesn’t have an air force.

A no-fly zone would accomplish what, exactly? Why is it an American national security priority to prevent planes from overflying a particular portion of Syria?

No one has actually made that case yet. They just assert it as though it’s an established fact, which seems crazy to me.

I was just interested in the irresponsible position of Carson advocating shooting down Russian planes over Syria, where they have been given permission to fly.

I don’t give two hoots about the author’s comments. Carson’s are scary.

It was the part about shooting down Russian planes in airspace they have permission to fly in that I found scary.

Carson’s trying to pad his lack of foreign policy creds by blathering about brains was unimpressive to say the least.

On the no fly zone, I now can see it. If you fly over any ones country without permission , you can be shot down.

That also goes for a no fly zone. It's a risk to do it. But if Carson did declare a no fly zone, he probably would exempt the allies and Russia .

I’m not a Carson supporter but I understood exactly what he said. It’s possible my frontal lobes are more fully developed than others.
