Ben Carson Completely Self Destructs and Goes Full Blown Nutter on Fox News
Politics USA ^ | 11/15/2015 | Jason Easley

Fox News Sunday tried to ask Ben Carson some policy questions about the terrorist attack in Paris, and the result was a dose of insanity that include a lectured on brain sizes, and Carson's support for a shooting war with Russia.

Carson was asked four times by host Chris Wallace what his response to the Paris attacks would be if he were president, and he couldn't answer, but the real crazy was yet to come.

In response to the question about whether the US should accept refugees from Syria, Carson went on a rant about the human brain:

WALLACE: The Obama administration has said before that it would accept up to 10,000 Syrian refugees as part of the humanitarian crisis. We now learn that one of these attackers had a Syrian passport that indicated he had been part of the refugee flood into Europe in October. Would you continue that policy?

CARSON: Well, you know, as I've said all along, you know, bringing people into this country from that area of the world I think is a huge mistake. Because why wouldn't they infiltrate them with people who are ideologically opposed to us? It would be foolish for them not to do that. So, we need to be very compassionate to understand that these people have been displaced and we should use our expertise and resources to help get them resettle over there, and to support them over there, but to bring them here under these circumstances is a suspension of intellect.

You know, the reason that the human brain has these big frontal lobes as opposed to other animals, because we can engage in rational thought processing, we can, you know, extract information from the past, the present, process it and project it into a plan. Animals, on the other hand, have big brain stems and rudimentary things, because they react. We don't have to just react, we can think.

Carson took crazy to another level when he suggested getting into a shooting war with Russia in Syria:

WALLACE: Dr. Carson what happens if the Russians respond to that by shooting down one of our planes?

CARSON: I would do that in conjunction with the Turkish forces along the Syrian/Turkish border where a huge number of those refugees located. It's a humanitarian thing to try to provide them a safe haven for now.

WALLACE: But sir, if I may press my-

CARSON: And I would make sure that the Russians understood that we are going to do that.

WALLACE: If I may press my point, what do you do if – after we shoot down a Russian plane, they shoot down one of ours?

CARSON: If they violate it, we will, in fact, enforce it. And, you know, we'll see what happened. You know, too, for us to always be backing down because we are afraid of a conflict, that's not how we became a great nation, Chris.

WALLACE: But you're talking about getting potentially into a shooting war with Russia over Syria?

CARSON: Well, if we established a no fly zone and we make clear the rules, if they violate it, that's why you have a no-fly zone. That's the very definition of a no fly zone. You can't fly there.

Ben Carson was asked policy question about the kind of unexpected crisis that all presidents must deal with, and he showed that he is completely unfit for office.

Rambling about the size of the human brain is not answer to a question about continuing the policy of accepting Syrian refugees. The idea that the United States could get into a shooting war with Russia to protect a no fly zone in Syria was flat out insane.

Over the weekend, top Republicans privately admitted that they viewed both Carson and Trump as unfit to be Commander In Chief. Republicans are terrified that Trump or Carson will win their party's nomination and lead the party to a crushing defeat. After Carson's appearance on Fox News, he appears to be even less sane than Trump.

Ben Carson's success as a presidential candidate demonstrates just how crazy Republican voters have become.

Thank you for you remarks. I think Carson’s remarks show he is not POTUS material. We disagree. Big deal.

Carson is not my guy, but you are a clown. It was a perfectly reasonable answer.

It is a transcript of his interview and there is a video at the site. Those who are screaming about the source seem to be over looking that fact.

It's the "magic Negro" syndrome.

Not everybody agrees with shooting down Russian aircraft, especially since they are currently doing the job that Obama won’t do. Glad to know you agree with Hillary.

Well, you know, as I've said all along, you know, bringing people into...

Well, you know, when you like someone you clean up their speech patterns, you know, when you are printing the interview. You know?

But when you hate them and want to, you know, slant the news against them, you leave in the kind of stuff, that you know will make them look bad. you know?

FWIW- have you ever read the various ramblings of Abraham Lincoln— you know, the hero of the republican party? Lincoln was not wrapped too tight, is thought to have been a severe bi-polar, said by his law partner to have had syphilis(which did not go away, remained dormant and uncured),took “blue mass” pills(commonly used in those days to control constipation and for syphilis— containing 33% mercury)which he used continuously probably becoming mercury poisoned- flying into rages and rambling talk.

That’s just a start of a “hero” President. Not a Carson supporter, however, the man is a neurosurgeon- methodical, planning, exacting and deep in thought. Not nuts— except to really stupid people. His “rant” made sense— we should not just “react” like animals do (a put down of the stupid chattering classes, btw) but have the wisdom of planning. To get it done. Including the confidence to enforce a no fly zone with the Russians. Simple enough, and logical. Do what you say and what you mean. Reagan did this... a lot.

The more I hear about his statements the more I’m backing away from him. Something doesn’t seem right with him. Just saying.

Disappointing that FReepers can’t recognize a left-wing hit-piece when they see it.

“I watched that Fox program and Carson was quite well reasoned.”

Yes. And people thought that Carley ‘had a great night’ when she also said that she’d start a shooting war with Russia...

It’s pretty amazing what people will swallow when it’s said in a ‘reasonable’ tone.

WWIII is not a good idea. Really.

I’m no Carson fan. I don’t think he’s qualified.

But his answers were reasonable to someone who has the intellect to understand them. I can understand.

Agreed. He just didn’t fall for the “gotcha” question
and the reporter was too stupid to understand.

He is not my choice, that would be Ted Cruz, but
I would still prefer Dr. Carson to a democrat!

So, you’re saying that Carson’s responses to the questions should be edited to make him look better?

I understood what he said, but why would we want to shoot down Russian planes over Syria, when Syria has given them permission to fly there? Currently Russia is doing the job against ISIS that Obama won’t do.

Carson shares this particular idea with Kasich, Bush, Rubio, Fiorina, Christie, Graham and Clinton. IMHO it's a stupid idea. So if this makes Carson an inexperienced idiot then it makes all of them inexperienced idiots.

Yes. His mistake was to accord the reporter far more respect than he deserved.

He was being interviewed by Chris Wallace. The reporter only printed the transcript.
