Trump recently tweeted, Nobody has more respect for women than Donald Trump! This is hard to believe. More than 3 million people have seen the anti-Trump ad in which women repeat real quotes about women from Donald Trump, such as bimbo and fat pig. Trump described Megyn Kelly as having blood coming out of her wherever and mocked Carly Fiorinas appearance by saying, Look at that face. He tweeted a picture of Melania Trump next to Heidi Cruz, as if potential first ladies are contestants in a Miss Universe pageant. And when asked whether women should be punished in the event that abortion became illegal, he suggested that they should be.
Women arent amused. Seven out of ten women (67 percent) have an unfavorable view of Trump, and only 26 percent view him favorably, according to a national Quinnipiac survey from late March. Other polls have his unfavorability ratings among women even higher, at 74 percent.
Cruz has capitalized on Trumps missteps by not making similar misogynist gaffes (admittedly, this is a low bar). He also recently hosted an event The Celebration of Strong Women in Madison, Wis., featuring his wife, his mother, and none other than former competitor Carly Fiorina. All issues are womens issues, said Cruz, in one of his most humanizing events of the campaign.
This is a very encouraging development, but Cruz too has a steep hill to climb with women voters. Three in ten women surveyed had a favorable view of Cruz (29 percent) and nearly half had an unfavorable view of him (46 percent), according to the same Quinnipiac survey from late March.
Not that the GOPs leading candidates do particularly well with male voters.

Of course this is pure HS. Every woman I know or meet is voting for Trump.
Funny how MANY MANY women on FR love Trump not buy this for a minute!!!
National Review, of course, has become a bastion of obsession over Trump, and can no longer be taken seriously on the subject.
A Lair?
He only gave Cruz about $1k and that was waaaay before Cruz ran for president. Nice try. No ceegar.
Trump, by his own words, donated to a “known” crook, Hillary Clinton. And then, he mysteriously decided to run as a Republican....when he had been a lifelong NY liberal and friend of the Clintons. I know what that makes Trump in MY book of logic. But logic is lost on the left and apparently, also on the Trump fans.
Me too Georgia Girl, EVERY Woman I talk to IS TRUMP!!! I live in CA. !!!
Nobody is saying that Trump has 100% disapproval ratings with women. But I guess this is another example where the Trump camp will swear that polls that show him favorably are completely reliable while any poll that shows him in a negative light just has to be bogus.
Meh
He gave Cruz 5 grand. Now how much did Cruz’s law firm give to Obama and Democrats under Cruz’s name as a senior partner?
Oh right you think an Ivy league foreign born DC Insider Lawyer is actually a Pro-American Conservative...
He also gave over $10k to Mitch the Bitch McConnell. He also donated to Rahm Emanuel and to Hillary. Point is, he is all over the place re: his “stance” and his loyalties. And a person that stands for nothing except empty rhetoric and campaign promises that nobody has any reason to believe based on their past history, is NOT what America needs right now. We’ve already got ‘one of those’ in the WH and look how that has worked out.
I'm sure I can. The worm will always turn.
Listen GOPe campaign worker. This issue is dead, anybody who is not so invested in Cruz they can use a computer can see that for a long time Trump has given way more to GOP then Dems. So its a dead issue and to keep pushing it is insulting the intelligence of anybody who can use a search engine.
A NY Business man paying off crooked politicians is nothing more then normal business. Its nothing to hang your hat on but does show either dishonesty on your part or ignorance on large business practices in democrats controlled states.
This is why outside the Cruz camp this talking point falls flat.
Yes, I realize that to Trump supporters, his donating to a known crook like Hillary and supporting other leftist radical Democrats is just ‘business as usual’ and perfectly expected and acceptable. But then, this election isn’t going to hinge on the opinions of those that think that brand of “ethics” is ok. We’ve had way too much of that kind of pay for play BS already.
I think that most Americans are ready for a change away from that kind of corruption...and the silent majority and independents, the ones we mostly never hear from, will weigh in during this election process. And I sincerely doubt that they’re as accepting of Trump’s past “deal making” as you guys are. Hence, Trump’s already 67% (and climbing) unfavorable rating.
Trump views women solely as sex objects.
Do we really want a president who sponsored beauty pageants as kind of a shopping site?
I don’t.
And many of those women were sexually abused by Trump to varying degrees. He was sued by at least one contestant and had to settle with her for an unknown amount. Would he have settled if she didn’t have a case? Don’t think so.
It’s rich that most of the trumpers will dismiss this and any negative articles about Trump by attacking National Review.
Those deluded women who attend trump rallies are the ones I feel sorry for.
They actually think Trump cares about them.
That is a foolish thing to say.
You may prefer Trump for some unaccountable reason but Ted Cruz is a far superior candidate in every way.
He discussed economic issues with a panel of economy wonks on CNBC for 45 minutes and I watched it. Three CNBC know-it-alls questioned him about everything from Japanese economy on down.
He was knowledgeable on everything. His tax plan is mainly to insure growth of small business and all business. He discussed the crippling effect of minimum wage on the beginners in the job market. If minimum wage prevents you from getting that first job, how can you get the second one.
His tax plan would grow the economy so much, it would quickly make up for any lost revenue by a lower tax rate.
No longer would a millionaire pay less taxes than his secretary.
I think women would like that.
We’ll see tomorrow about New York but Trump was never winning by ‘such a large margin.’
Trump won early races among 17 candidates by about one-third of the vote. Not exactly fair, but no one whined. Two-thirds of the voters did not want Trump but their vote was split.
As the race narrowed, getting victories became harder. One needed a competent staff, the willingness to spend a little money and to work.
Donald had none of that. His only weapon became whining about votes being stolen from him.
He may get New York but not by the margin he will need to achieve the votes he needs to avoid a fight at the convention.
Trump had better mend his ways with women, if he can.
Perhaps some women employees, etc. but not Sarah Palin.
Trump has been dissatisfied with all the people he bribed to support him. Ben Carson talks too much and admitted Trump promised him a job, thereby causing Trump to be investigated because that is illegal
He can’t stand Christie, who is looking pathetic now and wishing he’d never heard of Donald Trump.
Sarah Palin did not get him the boost he needed and her speeches were widely panned. He rudely pulled her out of Wyoming because he decided not to run there.
I have explained one clear way that Trump can win over a vast number of women, as well as still more men:

Thank you so much for saying that about George W. Bush.
He was a gentleman and so was his father. He was also a patriot, deeply concerned about servicemen. He still is a leader in promoting the welfare of servicemen.
It’s refreshing to see someone still willing to take up for GWB, since he is now apparently someone to scorn here by people supporting a man not one-tenth, not one-hundredth of the man he is.
