What Did You Get For Christmas?

What did you get for Christmas this year?

The wife started out poorly by giving me socks.

But, she redeemed herself with the next present which was brass knuckles.

Well, not actually brass knuckles, but I can use it like that. Some kind of multi tool thing. Looks like an old protractor to me. Supposed to be able to cut diamonds and tune violins or something.

I bought her a coffee cup with a photo of me on it. I think that makes an even dozen of em for her.

The boy?

We got him some of those Pikkachu slippers. They're actually some of my old Yogi Bear slippers but I painted em yellow.

The dogs got their favorite Christmas present.

Socks.

Dogs don't know what regifting is. Well, maybe The Little Dog might. He's pretty sharp. The little rat gave me a list of what he wanted for Christmas. Where the heck did he find paper to write on?

What did you get?

I got a Smith & Wesson M&P-15.

Nice little toy that’s almost a twin of my Colt M4.

The promise of a new kitchen by the time our oldest graduates this spring. And a new food processor to go in it.

I gave my oldest son an 1887 Winchester lever action shotgun (12 gauge) and an AK-47 in 5.56mm.

Youngest son got a Winchester Classic Model 70 stainless steel rifle in .300 Winchester Magnum with the BOSS system and a 1929 Browning Automatic shotgun in 12 gauge.

Actually none of that is true. I lost them all in a tragic boating accident on the Ohio rive during the spring flood season a few years ago. The boys appreciated me thinking about them with these neat presents that are only a figment of my imagination.

My wife gave me a Breitling wristwatch. She’d been saving up for a long time to get it for me.

A 27” monitor for my laptop so I can finally see what I’m doing in IronCAD

A Hitachi 10” compound miter saw

A Porter-Cable 10” contractor saw

A wonderful week-long visit with 3 of the 4 grandkids AND a white Christmas!

My abiding salvation because of the ‘Reason for the Season’, my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ!

The wife got me a quad copter drone called a Red Heron - has an HD wide angle camera, 15 minute flying time. Haven’t tried it yet - pretty high tech toy compared to the stick and hoop I used as a child.
