Pope Francis admitted on Monday he was frightened by the prospect of an accidental nuclear apocalypse, as he began a weeklong visit to Chile and Peru to bolster a local Catholic Church riven by sex abuse scandals.

“I think we are at the very edge,” the pope told reporters aboard his plane when asked about the threat of a nuclear war in the wake of a recent string of tests by North Korea and a false missile alert last week that sparked panic in the US state of Hawaii.

“I am really afraid of this. One accident is enough to precipitate things,” he said.

The pope landed in Santiago late Monday on his first visit to Chile since becoming pope, and his sixth to Latin America. …

This pope needs to render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s and unto God that which is God’s. When I, being a born again Christian attending a Southern Baptist Association Church, yearn for the return of the last pope Houston, the Catholic Church has a problem.

I pray for all Christians in all Christian faiths to stay in the scriptures and be ready to be tested. Amen

Pope John Paul II wasn’t fearful of war, he knew that as long as the world was run by those who believe in God that good would always triumph over evil.

This Pope on the other hand appears to be a follower rather than leader and those he follows are not believers in the faith, but believers in wrongheaded Socialistic and Communistic solutions to the worlds problems. He’s akin to a lemming headed for the cliff.

Nah. It’s going to be on purpose.

“The problem with Francis may be the same as what we’ve experienced lately with leaders in the US: some people come out of so-called ‘schools’ - and *indoctrinations*! - with exorbitant notions as to how ‘intellectual’ they are.”

I've spent essentially my entire adult life so far in academics, and you are spot on about this phenomenon. An ‘education’ was a magical thing to our parents’ generations, and they gave undue credibility to the ‘wisdom’ of higher education. The reality is that wisdom is not something that you can acquire in any university, graduate school, or professional program of study. Further, the erroneous belief that your education makes you wiser than others is a serious downside of higher education - resulting in a closed mind and a wasted intellect. My advice to everyone is to never cede an argument or opinion to anyone just because of their educational background or degrees. No one has a monopoly on ‘smart’ or ‘wise’, and the kind of diversity that truly does make us stronger is diversity of thought - something you don't see anymore in academics.

Doesn’t mean much from an accidental Pope. You can’t convince me that the College of Cardinals elected Frances Pope on purpose.

Hopefully they're just stirring up a little anxiety in the masses. It does help keep the peeps' minds off more important issues.

Look! Over there squirrel nuclear Armageddon!

Or maybe not. The money-from-nothing debt bomb is on a hard-wired timer and the NWO cabal is not yet ready for their planned global financial crash so maybe they are just prepping us for their Plan-B. Nothing like a little nuclear chaos to cover their thievery get everyone clamoring for a little order out of chaos...

My husband asked me a question tonight.

I had often told him how proud I was of the way he helped his father, when Father was dying of cancer; and he asked me, ‘Why were you proud? what did I do?’

I told him that he had been raised right, with profound personal values, by his parents; that he had always lived by those values; that he was full of love for his family; and that he was very intelligent - which nature, combined with the cultivation of it by a very good educational system - all came together in his care for his dear father.

My husband got his wisdom from several generations of people who cultivated him; and when he went to school, everything he learned there was informed by the REAL education that he received at generations of ‘knees’.

No school can educate anyone to become an authentic human being, unless certain basic values are instilled long before they even get to school. That means: Mothers and Fathers of good values themselves.

I agree. Unfortunately, not everyone has loving parents, or parents who don’t have serious unresolved issues themselves. My best to you and your husband.
