“My Dad said, Joey...”
“On my word as a Biden.”
These phrases are also reliable tells that a lie is forthcoming.
He told The U.S. Sun: “Self-checkouts will eventually go because there’s so much theft.

Happy I never hired this dummy for any legal work. Has he never heard of hidden cameras and signs that read “Smile, you’re now on camera!”?
They ain't payin' me.
You think you ain't payin' the cashier?
Robot is cheaper.
This stuff thrives where decent people live. You won't find it where the convenience store counters include bullet proof glass.
Most of them were complaining about Walmart having only 1 manned check-out and trying to force self-checkout.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I never go to cashier-run checkout and never will. In fact, on the rare occasions there’s a line in the self-checkout area I simply walk out of the store and shop some other time. Have you ever been in a hurry and had to stand behind some old geezer for five minutes while he checks every pocket of his clothing for a few pennies because his bill is say $5.03? GIVES ME CHEST PAINS!!
Back in the 70’s I would pick a line with the cutest girl working the cash register. Got a few dates that way.
Now I pick the shortest line.
—> You think you ain’t payin’ the cashier?
Of course.
But they fire cashiers and many you work for free instead, pocketing the difference.
—> Robot is cheaper.
I’m amazed you consider yourself a robot.
I’m talking about checking your receipt...self-checkout makes a lot of mistakes. I watch the cashiers, as well.
Cheer up. Grocery stores will soon go the way of the dodo bird anyway.
Government rationing warehouses will be the temporary solution until they can get in place feeding those allowed to survive at the Community (or corporate) Cafeteria.
Just got back from the local Dollar Tree. Guess what, they are now self checkout. Must have converted it this past week.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
YES! And I’m deeelighted that they’ve finally wised up. I go in the local $-trees every other day for an item or two, and nothing is more aggravating than to walk up to a checkout and discover you’re behind some scruffy person with a checkbook in hand (no pen), and a hundred objects crammed onto the conveyor belt!
Next, they’ll find a way to get the customers to stock the shelves.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
For a few bucks I wouldn’t mind stocking a few shelves in my spare time (I’m retired).
I don’t care if I checked myself out or an employee checked me out, I want to bag my own groceries. I do not want my cheese or veggies in the bag with raw meat. I don’t want my bread bagged with raw chicken. I also don’t want a half gallon of milk on top of my eggs. Don’t need glass bottles and canned food overloading a cheep single plastic bag. Heaven forbid you purchase fresh artichoke. Most cashiers just stare at you like what is this. It’s got a code sticker on it. If I take the time to separate my purchase on the conveyor belt by like items, just bag it that way. I can bag faster and better.
I’m a little picky I guess.
I blame management for not doing a simple 2-4 hours of training.
as the younger population grows into their late 20s and does their own shopping for families, they will want self-check. i use walmart and the system is very good and easy to use.
[Makes it harder for the merchant to steal from the customer.]
I have two grocery stores across the road from one another. One has six self-checkout machines and I can be in and out of that store in five minutes when I go there to purchase a half dozen items. The other stores has no self-checkout AND no express lane. Needless to say I never go there because to pay for a half dozen items I might have to stand behind some jerk with a jammed packed shopping cart who’s jabbering the cashier about the price of eggs!
In our area the last of the hold outs Staters is now going self check. No conversations holding up the line no pulling out the checkbook and calling the manager. Very few backed up lines. I like SC very much and go to that area when it is available.
People put out of jobs will have to adapt and retrain as they have since before the industrial revolution. How many of you support your local black smith in cities or phone switchboard women.
gee wouldn’t valet parking add even more jobs? And a lot supervisor
I find it funny that the full service is often a shorter line. For me, it is about getting out quickly. If I have lots of veggies that need to be weighed, it is quicker to go to the full service
````````````````````````````````````````
Check out at the pharmacy, the line is usually shorter there and you can piss off a bunch of people.
No kidding. We do not intentionally cheat the self checkouts, it’s not worth the potential trouble.
But for crying out loud, the potential is there. Just slide an object over the scanning glass with the bar code facing another direction and no one would know the difference.
I can see where Walmart can have staggering losses, enough to pay a clerk to run a cash register.
Usually only see leftists assume cost cutting isn't behind price cuts and continually improved standard of living, and instead only results in profits, which are somehow bad, and not a sign to other entrepreneurs of their own inefficiency and failure to meet consumer demand.
I’m amazed you consider yourself a robot.
I'm unamazed you added this ignorant take to your initial efforts.
