That one is BS. The DUmmies were referring to the typewritten portion of the doc. But if the typewriting was forged, it was probably forged with a vintage typewriter. The typewriting was not digitally forged using Shmutz since the fonts don't match up (e.g. open 4 versus closed 4).

I am agnostic, waiting for more people to analyze the non-typewritten fonts.

August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii IS August 5, 1961 in Mombasa, Kenya. Mombasa is about 11200 west of Honolulu on the other side of the International Dateline. Mombasa is about 11 hours ahead of Honolulu. So technically they are logged correctly by date at each location.

If “Yomama” was born in Mombasa on August 5, 1961 it would be recorded as August 4, 1961 in Honolulu!

There’s always the possibility that he WAS born in Hawaii and this is a simple registration of his birth- which would be natural, given his father was Kenyan. But- that’s the problem with BO- we only have hints, possibilities and mystery.

Problem with this scenario is the Kenyan BC was registered or filed (?) August 5, 1961 and Hawaii was dated August 11, 1961. I would go with the earlier one as being the first! Just my guess anyway!

Kenya became a Commonwealth in Dec of 1963. Look it up.

And a Republic in Dec of 1964, by way of a constitutional amendment, at which time Prime Minister Jomo Kenyatta became President Jomo Kenyatta. So, the document falls hard, unless it's shown the government offices jumped the gun with the letterhead by almost a year.

When I get a little time, I'll see what I can do by writing custom, "tunable" "grad" and "shadowing" filters for NIH Image -- and applying them to the seal..

Too bad the document's lighting is from the right -- instead of from the upper left. The "moon crater effect" tends to make it difficult to perceive the three-dimensionality as "up" rather than "down" with lighting from the right side...

I'll leave it up to others to determine how a "British Sovereign" seal would fit in with a nation in transition betwen colony and republic...

The Republic of Kenya did not exist in February of 1961, let alone August of 1961.

Read up about the Colony of Kenya and the Dominion of Kenya.

The document in question was from 1964, not 1961. By the way, virtually all the online references to the "Dominion of Kenya" versus "Republic of Kenya" are links to coin, flag, and Wikipedia sites. There are only a few (about 30); the rest (about 1780) are duplicates. On the other hand, there are over 160,000 hits for "Republic of Kenya". I'll be checking pre-internet sources through Lexis-Nexis later to see how far back this goes or if some later incorrect distinction has been proliferating from sites that heavily borrow from one another.

The kind of thing a fraudster would probably not think of. Convince me some more....I'm still skeptical, but there are interesting and puzzling details, to be sure.
