Here's volume two of what will be a regular contribution from me. Let me know if you want on the ping list. Volume 1 at end of message.

These are authentic snips from self-described "Very Liberal" women on Match.com, any one of which is guaranteed to offer you a thrilling time. Actual user names given in case you wish to get in touch.

These ladies won't stay single for long. ACT! NOW! (puns intended)

"I'm a nursery school director. The kids are little and fascinating. It is not perhaps a normal school. I'm grooming future revolutionaries."

dobuis2000
"Politics: Very Liberal...Income: Less Than $25,000...Turn-ons: Dancing, Power, Money"

lisaj1967
I am a college teacher/writer (poet) by trade...I don't like religion and I'm deeply disturbed by the republican party. If I could I would become an organic farmer or an archaeologist or a classics scholar...I've [been] to Paris twice and I'm starting to like it there...Last read: a book called The Muslim Discovery of Europe by Bernard Lewis."

soars_like_eagle
"I'm still getting over this last election, trying to remember what fun is...The 60s still lives in me."

fansoph
"On the other hand, I'm someone who reads alot, from The New Yorker to the Times to fiction."

CiDN
"I do research on urban violence and write a bit about political violence. I'm interested in how individual psychology combines with factors in the social world to produce violent events."

waterwordsmusic
"Faith: I am a non-practicing, cultural Jew. I was educated in a Quaker school. Religions fascinate me, but mostly because so many of them have created so much turmoil, pain and suffering in the world."

scrittrice97
"M.S. in Journalism, Columbia University, NY...Open-minded, ambitious journalist looking for spirited conversationalist...When I'm not at the movies, I'm usually arguing about books & international politics or running around Manhattan...Non-Americans are preferred, unless you have never watched ESPN in your life"

lgreen51
"I read the Nation on a weekly basis. I find it's the best way to understand what's really going on in our country"

fireflying23
"Job: I'm an independent performing singer-songwriter working my way out of needing a dayjob...my background is culturally Jewish, but my heart is in Mindfulness and Buddhism."

Womanofheartmind
"I'd like to think I'm open minded enough to not form a negative opinion of someone based on a photo or an answer to a silly question...What I dislike about internet dating is the risk of instant judgment...If you support Bush and the Republicans, don't waste your time with me."

selectivesoul
"I work as an advocate for social and economic justice...Given the fact that I am interested in men my age and older, and so many of those men are primarily interested in women around my daughter's age, and the guys her age fantasize about older women, you'de think I'd do the logical thing and take up with a younger man...I don't need to join match.com to have sex and I don't buy into the argument that you have to make love first to see if there is a good match. "

JudyC325
"For fun: I go to movies, cook colorful foods, check the stock market, work to unseat George Bush"

vio_v
"I'll be able to deal with most of what life can throw at me...I hate arguments -- I know that they are necessary and unavoidable at times, but I cannot live with too much tension around me"

docmakernyc
"For fun I'm a documentary maker, making movies about left social issues and politics. I shoot and edit movies because I think an individual and human voice needs to counter the media."

dancemaker
"Contemplating a move abroad to a country that spends its resources on people instead of bullets...Once had a country house with an English garden, friends at dinner arguing American politics. I want to recreate that."

helenenyc
"I voted for Gore, didnt everyone?"

tallulahforster
"Things I enjoy are music, the promise of visiting far-flung lands, hanging out with my friends at a bar or on a curb wondering how much of the Administration we can take before we have to expatriate ourselves...I envy the more humane work ethic practiced in most other first world nations; Americans definitely work too hard...For fun I like to sit on bar stools and bash the Bush administration. I also like to drink fine red wine while eating manchego and quince at seaside cafes on Spain's Mediterranean coast. Favorite hot spots: any crumbling facade in Europe or Northern Africa."

lalana66
"I see myself as a compassionate person with a strong social conscience...I enjoy gatecrashing the latest pseudo-celebrity event at Soho House."

ceejayyyy
"Being Jewish is very important to me...am only looking for someone Jewish so please don't write if you are not...I am not really religious or even practicing.

LadybugandHobbes
"I am a voice over actor. I am also an animal activist part-time...You should know that I am also Vegan. That means that I don't eat or buy anything that comes from an animal."

Flannery
"gay men love me"

sbar333
"I'm a bit lonely since I split with my husband."

judyhope123

Eclectic_Energy
"you're seriously contemplating leaving the country now that dubbya the wonder chimp stole another election...

Sioux_Zen
"Do you have a Canadian or EU-country passport? Let's talk. Canada, Holland, France, Italy... I'm open to suggestions...If you currently reside in or are willing to consider living in a country other than the US where freedom and civil liberties still exist, then let’s talk. I’m looking for someone who’s interested in exploring alternatives. Bush supporters need not apply....My ideal match is a vegetarian/vegan animal lover. (Although I'm beginning to think that as long as we had a vegetarian household in the future that would suffice.)...A man who does not want (any more) children or might want to adopt children...I love to travel - especially to France"

Sorry about that, Sweetheart. I feel the same way about love and sex also, but I am in my mid-40s and divorced. Most of the women I met off of that site, were in their early 40's. Sex was a big part of what they were looking for.

Is there a reason why you can't say no and show some respect for yourself and diginity? I'm in my 40's too and that is NOT a priority. God help the woman who marries someone who is so willing to jump in bed with any loose girl.

And don't call me sweetheart.

I am not saying I was right in doing what I did. Been in a monotonous relationship now for a while and would not stray no matter what.

Sorry about the sweetheart, Benice. I am from Texas and we use "Sweetheart" and Darlin' a lot here. Don't mean nothin' by it.

I wouldn't be surprised if most of these are ads are fake. So don't spend too much time analyzing them. Did they have a great picture? I do believe most of the women on these dating sites are bait to get guys to sign up. Being single and living in a small town of 600 people (I know almost everybody here) in South Dakota its not easy to meet new people. Spent a lot of time on these things. As a rule, never give an email address until you've talked to them a few times to be sure they are a real person (otherwise you may be signing yourself up for spam).

SWM, 35, Freepmail me if you like puppy dogs and long walks in the park. :)

There's a site soon to be up that doesn't have the restrictions of Match.com and its affiliates. I'm doing some pro bono work for it. Called CandlelightCafe.com. It looks to run a classy place, server side chat with video/audio and monitoring to keep the freaks in line.

I can tell you from experience, that on Udate.com and Kiss.com the ads were on the up and up. There were tons of attractive and mostly successful (in the 30+ to 41-42 range)women on there. If they have a pic on thier profile and looks too good to be true, ask for more pics once they are talking to you. Worked for me.

A lot of these women are tired of the bar scene and would rather try their luck on line.

I was thinking of joining Match.com....does anyone have any experience or words of wisdom on this idea?

I met my wife on Match.com. We hit it off right away. After talking on the phone for a while SHE asked the question, "How do you feel about guns?".

Our second anniversary will be in September.
