Dennis Prager explains why it's important to learn about the Holocaust

Today on his radio program, Dennis Prager had a caller ask him why it's important learn about the Holocaust. Dennis gave him three reasons:
- Evil exists in the world. It is out in the open in many places and it exists under the surface in many other places. We must be able to recognize it.
- The Holocaust was engineered by the most cultured nation on earth. It was created by Beethoven-loving, Mozart-loving, arts-loving, museum-visiting Germans. It was not the product of a backwater bones-through-the-nose society.
- Anti-Semites have always started with Jews but they always then gone on to others. A good example of this is that in today's world, the Islamofacists are not just content to go after Israel - they have also gone after the US, Spain, and even their own fellow Muslims in Iraq.
I thought it was a great and concise explanation. I'm trying to recall this from my less than perfect memory. If anyone can help me here, I'd appreciate it. :)

Dennis is such a great and powerful voice against evil. That is why the left hates him.

And the chilling thing is that Germany (and many Western European, highly cultured countries like France) is becoming a hotbed of anti-Semitism once again. They have more tolerance for Islamists than for Jews.

The Holocaust was engineered by the most cultured nation on earth. It was created by Beethoven-loving, Mozart-loving, arts-loving, museum-visiting Germans. It was not the product of a backwater bones-through-the-nose society. A Wagner and Nietzche loving society too.

Dennis Praeger's points are right on the money! They're exactly why it is important to learn about the Holocaust (Shoah).

It's a choice, like so many things, it is a choice, whether ones chooses right or wrong. All the education in the world still can result in someone choosing to do evil over good obviously. People still choose to be jealous of others as Cain was jealous of his brother. Sometimes more education even leads to more evil and sin as with the tower of Babel, or men thinking they are smarter than God, or that they can come along side Him and help Him adjust His plan and purpose. That is when He steps in and confuses the minds that are so full of themselves, all the education in the world will not help at that point, they are as blind as can be and marching quicker towards more evil.

I've studied a lot on the Holocaust. It is bewildering. Rather, I take great pleasure and joy in the modern day existence of Israel. I think the fact that a first rate nation and military like theirs that was forged out of the furnace of the Holocaust is an amazing; an incredible thing. Although it is something each Jew must come to grips with as to "why" He allowed this, G-d is truly gracious in the end.
Now, every time some Jew hating Euroweenie under the guise of academia and "good global governance" bemoans the "choice" of the particulars involved at that time to allow the recreation of the Nation of Israel because the Jews won't reprise their two millennia role as the global community's whipping boy and "red-headed step-child" of the global family and roll over and die en masse again, I just laugh. Out loud. I think it is great that the Jewish nation today is an entity in this world comprised of a whole new generation that mirrors in no way that generation of the 40's which enduredand diedthrough that dark time.
Now, should the world succumb to their unregenerate impulses again, whether Islamic killer or gentile that refuses to acknowledge G-d and His involvement in the affairs of men and this small nation and initiate another "final solution," ... well, there will be fearsome hell to pay.
Not like the Holocaust.

That's great. It's a wonderful thing!
I'm laughing now!

Prager is great. I'd also like to add Herman Wouk's words from the beginning of his superb trilogy, "The Winds of War" and " War and Remembrance1 & 2."
"The end of war is in remembrance." I forget the EXACT quote but that's the point. The only way to avoid future things like the holocaust is to keep it ever before us lest we forget and follow the same path again.
To: EveningStar
I think Prager is far superior to Rush. Rush bleats on and on and on about political stuff which I can only take to a certain point. Dennis covers everything - literally - and he's funny too. Everyone has their opinion but I pick Dennis over Rush any day.
