ABC News Asks 60 Soldiers Who They’ll Vote for - Doesn’t Report the 54 For McCain
The Patriot Room ^ | July 9, 2008 | Bill Dupray

Posted on 07/09/2008 11:18:28 AM PDT by Bill Dupray

Soldiers stood directly behind Raddatz as she queried GI’s walking past. She asked 60 GI’s who they planned to vote for in November. 54 said John McCain, 4 for Obama, and 2 for Hillary. When the story ran, they didn't even mention the 54 that chose McCain.

ABC, NBC & CBS are all a bunch of clowns - along with Obama and the other clowns in Congress they support (Reid, Pelosi, etc).

Someone posted an article regarding this a couple of weeks ago. I think a soldier in Iraq called home and told them she/he might be on TV or something because of this reporter interviewing them, and this is what was reported and the McCain voters ignored.

An ABC news reporter dishonest? Martha Radditz manipulating the truth in a lame attempt to score a cheap political point? Who would ever have guessed? I will not hold my breath waiting for the apology, either. This will only worsen as we get closer to the election. This is why I NEVER watch network news. The reporters and producers are several varieties of lying scumbags, and I have had Yorkies that are more intellectually rigorous.

9:1 for McCain and the “news” is that three are voting for Obama (anyone want to guess the skin color of the three?) and two for the Beast.

This skewing of the news by ABC is beneath contempt and it casts doubt on everything that they report and present. Who would trust a ‘poll’ or a ‘survey’ on any subject from them? I hope people will hear of this and remember it the next time ABC goes on and on about global warming consensus or support for other of their cherished positions. You can’t call this stuff journalism or even advocacy, it is outright deceit.

MSM cheerleading for Obama is becoming so obvious and clumsy that it could well work against him in the general election. Such is the desperation of the media-industrial complex. Without Obama, there will be no hate-speech legislation, no revival of the fairness doctrine, and no attempt to control the internet. It is the dinosaurs’ last chance to avoid extinction.

“Everyone knows soldiers vote overwhelmingly Republican.”

You’d think so, but unfortunately this falls under the same category as “Everyone knows Congress is now controlled by the Democrats.” Namely, the MSM propaganda machine has successfully spun (read “lied”) and distorted the facts to the degree that many don’t know either of these things. Actually had a long discussion with a libdim (in a bar, I was bored) about this very topic. He was sure, just SURE, that the military voted overwhelmingly for Democrats because they wanted to bring the troops home NOW. Even a post-Iraq tour marine buddy sitting with us couldn’t convince him that he was wrong. (He did acknowledge that Congress was now controlled by Democrats — after I pulled it up on Google using my PDA and showed it to him.)

No way ... not buying it.

On the other-hand though, they may have selectively polled the “correct” demographic to attain this desired result.

Also from what I understand, diversity and multi-culturalism claptrap is alive and well in parts of the military. (Not frontline infantry I’m sure!)

Her e-mail is funny. First, we can watch the video, and it doesn’t look at all like what Martha said was really happening. Also, in the video, the announcer says she talked to “many troops”, but in her e-mail she says she didn’t talk to many troops — so I guess her report was a lie then?

And she said a person behind her couldn’t have heard what was being said, but it sure looked pretty quiet to me, and it also looked from the video like she could have easily asked 60 people who they were voting for.

Note she said she was surprised at how many said Obama — which suggests she had done some sort of quick survey. Maybe she didn’t interview 60, but she may well have asked 60 in order to pick out the 5 she picked.

Two woman in her group of 5, and two minorities.

This is why RATS always try to keep US service men’s absentee ballots from being counted. They know service members overwhelmingly vote Republican.

This is the liberal media’s way. They keep interviewing until they find someone who gives them the answers that they want (that match their assumptions).

I heard locally a woman call in to talk radio. She had a family member in the service. I can’t recall the specifics; if this was election time and she was being asked about a dead/absent son/husband in service or Christmas asked about an absent son/husband...

Anyway, she was slated to appear live on the morning news, she and others gave their interviews. She was pro-military in her remarks in a way that surprised the interviewer. Subsequent rebroadcasts (at noon and evening) included remarks by some of the families but not hers. Depends on “what you have to say” whether the media cares or not.

It’s selective memory. I was talking to a Jewish woman in my neighborhood, and she suddenly went off (out of the clear blue sky) on Bush. I know she’s got BDS, so I’m not surprised.

But I did confront her about Carter. She insisted, absolutely insisted, that unemployment, gas prices, and interest rates are far worse under Bush.

The more I tried to tell her the truth, the louder she got. You can’t convince these people. I just walked off.

I hope someone investigates this. The email reads like your typical hoax chain email. It there a retired US Army MG Buckman? He should be easy enough to find.

On the other hand, I've had similar experiences with reporters, so I know this is possible.

Everyone knows soldiers vote overwhelmingly Republican.

Well not because the media reports it. The media works hard to find anti-war Democrat soldiers to quote as representative of typical soldiers.

That was a truly disgusting bit of “news reportage”!

She must have worked for Goebbels in a past life. She seems quite adept at this.

Ironically, she didn’t seem to carry that bias when she worked for Channel 5 (WCVB) in Boston (when she was known as Martha Bradley).

Just another example, I guess, of the intellectual corruption in the media so prevalent at the national level.

CA....

Human waste, Harry Reid, blames Bush for the 9% approval rating that Congress gets. Reid needs to look at himself in the mirror; that’s where the blame lies along with the treasonous Witch, Pelosi. The boiling anger of the American people needs to be directed at the source, the US Congress! Dump Congress; the entire worthless bunch.

Except for the black soldiers (as a group). They will likely vote in the opposite direction, though less heavily so than blacks in civilian life.
