Ron Paul on Glenn Beck Show

Posted on 07/30/2008 4:27:52 PM PDT by rightwinghour

I watched Ron Paul on Glenn Beck today and as usual I was amazed that he is just about the only politician in Washington talking about the real issues. Neither McCain nor Obama will talk about monetary policy. They are scared to, because they know the system we have is unconstitutional and that the only way to fix things is to go back to constitutional money. But that would hurt, so it wouldn't be prudent to bring it up...

"I know more about it than you ever will"

If you know anything at all, you certainly have failed to demonstrate it here.

Are you a teenager? Have you ever read the Constitution?

Are you talking about the pirates at Tripoli?

Jefferson knew who the enemy was and took care of Arabs and off North Africa.

>> Have you ever read the Constitution?

Matter of fact, I have. Have you?

Let’s just close with the obvious question:

If ElRon and his policies are so right, so clear and so obvious... how do you explain his dismal showing among thinking people, and his raving support among fringe lunatics, moonbats, and pacifists like yourselves?

Good night.

Exactly.

I have several relaties who have fought in Iraq and Afgan and some still thee and one in Africa.

They have seen what the enemy has done first hand.
One relative, a Dr. with the 1st Marines was one of the first into Bagdad in 2003.

Living in a city with the largest concentration of military, you hear first hand what is going on and
how so many in Iraq appreciate what we have done.

Here in San Diego we have over 30,000 Iraqis.
When Sadam was captured, I saw a large number of them along with Kurds in their native costums and music and dancing on the Federal Bldg. Plaza here with signs, Thank You Pres. Bush.

That must have been neat to see it..

Also dictator who hates (like Hugo Chavez) can make any excuse to declare war on us.

My gut feeling is that Hugo may try to attack Colombia (our true friend in that region) and it depends who win this election.. If McCain wins not gonna happen.. If Obama wins, look out. But according to Ron Paul and fellow live in the past numnuts we should just ignore the problem..

Hugo is a loose cannon.
He has already been making moves in Latin and South America and not for the good

Ron Paul has the support of all the thinking people; that’s why he was able to raise so much money from those that realized that he was simply stating the obvious.

The problem is that there are very few informed, thinking people. Most are real moonbats like you: totally, abysmally ignorant of what is going down. Believing in fairy godmothers, and such. Some are even crazy enough to believe that unflinching faith in the tyrants that are destroying us makes them ‘conservative.’

How much longer do you suppose that we can go on the present course? (or do you have the slightest idea what the present course is?)

Understatement!

Recent raids in Columbia indicate that he has provided several billion in funding to revolutionaries.

Drill here, drill now.

Why, no, of course I don’t. I’m nowhere near the giant-brained dogmatic blowbag that you are.

What do you think I should do? Sign up for one of your courses? What do they call that crap ...er, I mean program, again? Dianetics or something like that?

Oh no, wait, I forgot. You’re not a scieno, your an ElRon truther. Well, maybe you can forgive my error — you freaking nutball cultists DO all look a lot alike. You can understand how I got confused.

And since you appeal to the insecure and the insane, you’re right, you scienos ...oops, I mean, truthers do have a real knack for putting the squeeze on people for their hard earned dough. By your own admission.

The war against the pirates was in direct response to our being attacked all the time. It wasn’t interventionist, it was a just war.

All you support is peace through perpetual war, where America is the dictator telling other countries how they can run their own governments.

Oh, I see that you are also part of the "blame America first" crowd. Liberating millions of people from a mass-murdering dictator is a bad thing because we are being, God forbid, intrusive. Puhleeeze.

Intervention has its consequences and we have reaped the whirlwind because of our interventions.

Yea, it's called new trading partners to do business with when we help them dump the tyrannical dictator and they discover capitalism. Which creates jobs here in the US and increases the standard of living for all.

If you want to fight unconstitutional undeclared wars, go ahead, but at least have the decency to amend the Constitution so that those actions will be allowed. Didn't Congress authorize the use of force against Iraq?

Your passion to help others is noble, but it has cost literally millions of American deaths.

Please explain how "millions" of Americans have died because of our wars. Remember, you said "literally". I can't wait to see your math.

Resistance movements find ways to get weapons and more supporters. No they don't. They are hopelessly outmatched. The French resistance had no chance against Hitler.

Something like 500,000 Iraqis are dead because of this war.

That 500,000 figure has been thoroughly discredited and debunked and is only being spouted by left-wing web sites. I challenge you to provide evidence for your claim.

Appeasement is not something I support by the way.

No, you support something worse. You support enabling megalomanical dictators to have free run of the planet. You Paulites are the dangerous people. Millions of Jews being killed? You don't care. Saddam has lots of mass graves? You don't care. You Paulites probably wouldn't even fight if Al-Qaeda came to your front door and forced your wife to permanently wear a burka.

No, I don't want to send our soldiers to foreign lands to fight for the freedom of people who are not Americans. It's unconstitutional and it has had disastrous consequences for us.

So, you want to wait until they attack us here in America? Oh wait, they just did a few years ago! In New York! Congress voted to attack, according to the constitution, remember. We first went to Afghanistan and fought them. Al-Qaeda was also in Iraq, we went to Iraq and fought them. Zarqawi was leading their troops. IN IRAQ! REmember? We killed him. We now continue to fight them in Afghanistan. You got a problem with all this sequential logic? Do tell.

We could have avoided WWII altogether.

And this tells me you're completely unhinged. Hitler's Nazis would rule the world had we not gotten involved. Now maybe some of you Paulogists wouldn't mind seeing Hitler finish his work against the evil joos and other undesireables, but I say you can't allow that kind of evil to fester and grow.

Surgical strike and pacifist don’t go together.

Oh no? So allowing the Taliban to continue sheltering the rest of Al Qaeda, ignoring the bulk of the problem and going after just the figurehead IS NOT pacifism? Running like a scared girl from some cave dwellers IS NOT pacifism? Yes, it is. We needed to go into afghanistan as an army, not as a cruise missle. In fact, we didn't go in hard enough to begin with. We should have had every last troop we could muster storm through their country, crush Al Qaeda and kill every last taliban supporter in less than 30 days. We should have given the troops our full support unconditionally from the beginning so that marines like Marcus Luttrell could have killed Taliban members pretending to be snoopy goat herders on sight.

Oh boy, here we go with the elitism. I find it funny that your tagline criticizes Jimmy Carter, yet you and the Paulites espouse his same disasterous foreign policy. Under Carter's reign, brutal dictators were popping up all over the place. Angola, Nicaragua, Grenada, Iran, etc. etc. Why? Because they knew that Carter posed no threat to their megalomanical expansionist plans. Your laissez-faire isolationist policy is so dangerous, but you can't even see it. After a while, when the dictators seize all the assets and give them to their friends, we all turn into Zimbabwe and it's oh-so-great economy. Wise up, Paulites and get a clue.
