Former East German Political prisoner: Obama Only Interested In Socializing America
Lakeland Times ^ | September 26, 2008 | Gisela Lusa

Posted on 09/26/2008 11:29:25 PM PDT by mukraker

In the past few weeks, I have listened to Barrack Obama's speeches. I have also talked to many people who believe Obama's plans or changes for this country is what we need.

This is wrong.

For 32 years I lived in East Germany. I didn't have a choice. For four years, I suffered as a political prisoner in a Russian East German Prison Camp.

They tried to re-educate me by forcing me to read Marx, Engels, and Lenin and the communist manifestoes.

When I hear Obama speaking, I hear Marx, Engels, and Lenin. Please, the people should listen to what he says. It's mine to hear for everyone's health insurance.

I have no health insurance myself, but I lived under socialized medicine and this is bad. I assure you, in Germany, France, and other places in Europe the medical care is substandard. There is no medical care for older people, they will offer the older people the pill.

Others wait a long time for medical appointments and medicine is in short supply and often non-existent.

Everything that is government run is not always good.

Obama wants to socialize this country. It didn't work in Russia; it didn't work in East Germany; it didn't work in Cuba; and it won't work here.

Obama does not have the experience to lead this country.

He will be tested as John F. Kennedy was tested by the Russians. When Kennedy became president, he was tested by the Cuban Crisis and allowed the Berlin Wall to be built with electric fences and mine fields to separate the free from the oppressed. I prefer an older, wiser president.

To be free and to raise my son to be free, I walked through a mine field from East Germany to the West with my baby on my back and made my way to America.

He is now a major in the U.S. Special Forces after having spent two tours of duty in Afghanistan and one tour in Iraq, and now being sent to Africa as a foreign affairs officer.

He is an American, and I am an American. I value our freedom.

Don't give us a socialist communist state.

While many of us may have read about such lives lived under Socialist dictatorships, here is advice to us from someone who actually LIVED under it's controls. We would all do well to heed her warnings.

Obama Only Interested In Socializing America

WE know! Unfortunately, a large number of people who live in this country are Kool-Aid drinkers.

Wow.

It’s one thing for conservatives to scream bloody murder that Obama is a socialist.

It’s altogether something more to read someone who’s experienced it first hand confirm our worst fears about him.

America needs to pay attention or we’ll find ourselves experiencing a life similar to this brave person.

Unfortunately, too many Americans are willing to give up more of their freedom for a free Big Mac and Coke.

It is quite telling that many are willing to foist huge debts upon future generations for the illusion of greater comfort for themselves today.

Here we are, the economy not in a recession (though oddly enough the talking heads proclaim we are in one), and we are on the cusp of large swaths of our economy being nationalized for fear of some temporary economic discomfort.

I’d like to be able to lay blame for this solely at the feet of lib Dems, but unfortunately too many ‘compassionate conservatives’ and otherwise ‘rock-ribbed’ Republicans have helped this mentality along.

I wish someone would just come out and say it. Phil Gramm was right. This is a nation of whiners. You friggin’ coddled soft-headed little whiny trolls. You might actually have to cut back on what cash you blow each week on junk you don’t need? No more double shot half-caff drinks at Starbucks every day? What? Work hard and save money? That’s so 50s, which means you’re a racist and sexist.

Instead of being a nation of individuals free to work towards what they want for themselves and their families, this nation is all about entitlement to instant, and effortless, gratification. Your success is not your own concern. It’s guaranteed by the state.

Yup.

They are all foolishly following the Pied Piper on the path to destruction.

Obama has constructed a cult, and his followers are all fools of the lowest caliber.

God bless you and your son,Gisela Lusa. Please thank him for his service to our country.

Yes, you are Americans - more so than some who were born here, and some who run for and gain political office, because you understand, love, respect, and defend the principles on which America was founded.

Welcome, fellow American. We need more Americans like you and your son.

I have lived in a Communist country and Obama is a weakling socialist apologist who would bend over for a real communist tyrant like Stalin.

Affirmed simply through Obama's some 20 years as supplicant to Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farakhan, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, et al.

If more American’s read this, they would begin to see just what Obama and socialism will mean for our nation. But sadly this will not get out and very few people will ever read it.

What would be so wrong with McCain saying in a debate (when the whole nation is watching and listening), “My friends, you need to listen carefully to what my opponent is saying, what his intentions are for this country. Let me read to you a short message from an American who has lived under a Socialist dictatorship.... (read message) .... is this the kind of “CHANGE” we truly want to see here?”

Then McCain needs to turn and face Obama and say something like, “Senator Obama, please explain to us your rationality of why Socialism would be good for America?”

Sadly to say, I don’t believe McCain will do anything that will clearly lay out the reality of Obama’s intentions to socialize America.

Sorry, but...that's just a lot of bull. My Grandparents got quite old without being euthanatized by the Government. Jesus.

Others wait a long time for medical appointments and medicine is in short supply and often non-existent.

Waiting can happen, happened to me on one occasion, but if time had been pressing, I would have been treated at once. I've never had to wait for medicine.

Everything that is government run is not always good.

Well that's obvious. But same goes for the private market, at least that's the impression I get from countries like the USA.
