The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chastised the Pentagon for actions leading to the dissemination of biased and one-sided opinions on the war on terror. The FCC ruling came in response to complaints from Representatives Rosa L. DeLauro, (D-Conn.) and John Dingell, (D-Mich.).
This is George Bushs war, Dingell said. Every time some general or one of his lackeys bad-mouths al Qaeda or the Taliban its like a political endorsement of his Republican administrations policies. This is impermissible political speech. We have requested that the FCC put a stop to it.
At issue is the Pentagons habit of allowing retired personnel to have copies of media briefing materials. Its one thing for professional journalists to have this information, Dingell said. They are trained to present balanced perspectives. These retired officers are just cheerleaders with an animus for what Bush has claimed are the enemies of freedom and democracy.
Dingell said he intends to probe more deeply into the issue after the election. Democrats wont be forgetting about it just because we win the election, Dingell promised. Names will be taken and appropriate penalties will be levied on those responsible.
In related news, Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) sharply criticized President Bushs continued efforts to win the war on terror, calling it politically motivated. He knows that if he can show progress it will help John McCain, Kucinich asserted. The congressman contended that an election season ought to be a period of policy neutrality. Maybe the voters dont want to win the war. Bush owes it to the American people to let the election decide whether victory is appropriate and not try to force the issue in the little time he has left.

In an Obama administration, this will be fact.
Satire, but just realistic enough to be almost believeable, and that’s sad.
I was startin’ to wonder where ya were!
“Fairness Doctrine” for the military isn’t too far out in obamaland thinking!
I love these posts! I do a double-take and get suckered in by the headline every time, because there is just enough reality in these headlines to make it credible. I guess if I just look at the Freeper name, I wouldn’t be fooled, but what fun would that be?
The posts are getting better and better, John!
Names will be taken and appropriate penalties will be levied on those responsible.
This is satire? Hard to tell. LOL!
Is this guy for real? Our military is supposed to only say nice things about the vermin that’s trying to kill our military (and our people for that matter)?
Traitor.
You have to stop posting these things. It is getting so hard to tell satire from the actual “news” these days.
Ok, you got me. I’m blaming Daylight Savings coming to an end...
“Satire, but just realistic enough to be almost believeable, and thats sad”
Satire, you say. If they didn’t do this during the recent hearings, they came dang close.
Best headline yet!
