Woman Calls 911 When McDonalds Runs Out of McNuggets
A Semi-News/Semi-Satire from AzConservative ^ | 8 March 2009 | John Semmens

Posted on 03/10/2009 10:13:23 PM PDT by John Semmens

Latreasa Goodman of Fort Pierce, Florida called the 911 emergency number when a local McDonalds restaurant was unable to fill her order for McNuggets because they had run out.

“Them refusing to give me my ‘nuggets’ isn’t the change I voted for last November,” Goodman complained. “It’s racist. Obama’s the president now. I have rights that ‘whitey’ can’t deny me. The police are supposed to enforce my rights.”

Goodman ended up disappointed when police responding to her call not only didn’t force the restaurant to give her the McNuggets, but, instead, cited her for abusing the 911 phone line.

A McDonald’s spokesman apologized for the “out-of-stock” situation and offered Goodman a coupon for a free meal for the inconvenience.

If I was deciding that case, I'd award her a Happy Meal.

Ok, so you go into Best Buy and buy a $500 digital camera.

After they ring you up, they realize that they don’t have the camera in stock that you picked out.

No problem, you say, I’ll take the $300 digital camera and $200 cash back.

No can do, the manager tells you, we don’t refund money. You need to pick out an additional $200 worth of merchandise.

You say, fine, I don’t want anything here today, just give me my $500 back.

Sorry, says the manager, we don’t give money back once it’s in the register.

Now, do you call the police?

If so, you are called names like “wretch” for mis-using 911.

This woman is in for a suicidal letdown when she realizes that when Obama said “PIE!!!”, he meant sh*t sandwich!!

If the situation was just as you described it you'd have a point. But you don't because we're not talking about a $500 purchase at Best Buy, we're talking about $1.99 chicken mcnuggets at a fast food restaurant. That hardly warrants multiple calls, aka, abuse, of the 911 system.

She is a wretch and she's looking to get rich over a minor incident. I just hope there is no one as ignorant as you on her jury.

Theft is theft. But she should have called a non emergency number or gone to the local PD branch and filed a complaint. 911 is for emergency's not McNuggets.

Saying that it is time that “even the smallest Americans make a positive contribution,” the Obama Administration issued an Executive Order reversing the Bush Administration’s policy of prohibiting the use tax dollars to fund the harvesting of stem cells from aborted fetuses.

Brutal.

$1.99 for Chicken McNuggets? Been a while since at you’ve been at McDonalds huh?

What if the $3.19 was all she had for lunch?

Sure she called 911 three different times, but how many people know the non-911 number for the police?

Could the 911 operater given her the non-emergancy number number the first time? Sure, but she didn’t.

She was being robbed. Actively. She had every right to seek remedy.

But instead she is mocked and criticized for trying to stand up for her legal rights.

Oh well. It’s just another person and their rights, why let that get in the way of a good insult and trash session?

It is entirely possible the 9-1-1 center was, at the time, dispatching rescue units to multiple life-threatening accidents or fires, but, even so, given the “emergency” nature of the poor woman’s lunch complaint, the dispatcher should have spent more time on the phone with her./s

Considering the 911 operator kept asking her questions, I doubt it. What the 911 operator should of done is say “Ma’am, this does not sound like an emergancy. I will connect you with your local police station.” or “Ma’am, here is the non-emergancy number for the local police.”

Do you know the non-emergancy number for your local police?
