Mr Obama.....Turn On This Water!.....NOW!
A Time For Choosing ^ | SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2009 | Gary Jackson

Turning the water off is not just bad politics, it’s an act of domestic terror.

Former Fresno, California Mayor Alan Autry

Forgive me if I am less than diplomatic here. I am not a fan at all of the radical environmental movement. I’m even less of a fan of radical, Big Government.

Let’s cut to the chase here. The rabid environmentalists have destroyed the economy in the San Joaquin Valley of California. Not only have they destroyed the economy, they have destroyed the lives of tens of thousands of farmers, as well.

According to the California Farm Water Coalition unemployment in parts of the San Joaquin Valley reached 41 percent in August. Over 400,000 acres of some of the richest farm land on earth are now dormant and unplanted. More than one million acres are in danger of destruction. .

These government stooges have created a modern day dust bowl. They have created something the government actually worked hard to educate people against doing again some 75 years ago!

Poor planting practices and a major drought caused much of the nation’s center to turn into one big dust bowl back in the 1930's. Nothing would grow. This stretched from the Plains of Texas to the Canadian Prairie Lands. Throw in the Great Depression and it was a disaster. People’s lives were destroyed. Farms that had been in families for generations just dried up and blew away, literally. Many family farms were lost to foreclosure. American families lost everything they had.

And unfortunately there are no Americans left with guts enough to defy a judge and turn the water back on themselves, while they sit and watch their children go hungry.
What has happened to my America?

What exactly would happen if they, the Central Valley farmers, turned out en masse and forced open the water valves themselves? Is it possible? Is it not time to take their very survival into their own hands?

..Arnold appeared to be helpless and shellshocked on Hannity the other night

He could really force a 10th Amendment crisis by using all available CA law enforcement and even National Guard (until they were nationalized) to turn the water back on--by force if necessary...

If he was only as tough in real life as he is in the action movies. I would love to see the citizens of Kalifornia go right to the water works and take charge. Make the feds dare to do something about it.

These people honestly believe none of us should consume anything that isn't generated right in our own community -- from water to utilities to food... they are very scary and it's impossible to get through their thought process...

that said, the guy Hannity had the set to with was behind shutting down the water to the farmers in Oregon a few years ago and would love to shut down dams on the Colorado and other rivers there is something else at play here and it's a decades old battle from Northern California to turn off the water they sent to Southern California.

I make sure I tell everyone I talked to for more than a few minutes different things the Democrats have done to destroy this country.

Today I was at a birthday party for a 10 year old. A had a lot of fun telling them how the Democrats are destroying this country. I did not get ANY push back. This must be our plan. We must turn the non political minions into voting Republicans. People vote for Democrats because they watch and read MSM and don't know any better. I give homework assignments to people I seem to make inroads with to watch FoxNews and research for themselves what the Democrats are doing. I then have them report back to me.

Sorry, but I’m not on the farmer’s side, they are getting water subsidies off the tax-payers. Let *them* cover the full cost of irrigation, not the tax-payer. This isn’t an environmental issue, it’s an economic issue. If this farming would be so good for the economy then private investors would be funding it, including the irrigation.

There is a rule on FR that we do not advocate or encourage violence or other illegal acts.

That is the rule and this is Jim Thompson’s house to rule as he sees fit.

Therfor I won’t suggest that the people who are being denied water take up arms and take over the facilities that are blocking their water and forcibly turn it back on.

I won’t suggest that at all. Even if it is the right thing to do I won’t suggest it.
