As Thanksgiving festivities wind down we contemplate all we have to be thankful for as free Americans! We head into the Christmas season wishing for leadership in Washington that reflects our commitment to the values and ideals that have built the freest and most prosperous and generous nation on earth.
Heading into December and Tuesday’s announcement of our nation’s strategy in Afghanistan, I ask the President to reassure us that the administration is in this War on Terror to win.
And I’ll pass along the following from Harold B. Estes, a 95-year-old member of the Greatest Generation: “I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you’re the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you’re not in this fight to win, then get out.”
Thank you, Mr. President. Please tell us on Tuesday that America is in it to win.

Imagins if she were not only amazingly accomplished at executive governing, but also unusually smart and erudite? She did get Alaska shaken up and turned around, jailed the crooks, returned oil profits to the people, got the pipeline deal sealed, had a baby, and ran for V.P., and left office with over a year still left in her first term.

You know, this is just Sarah Palin, guided by her own conservative philosophy and core values, not a room full of DC insiders and communications “experts”.
After I read in her book how tightly controlled she was by the McCain campaign operatives, I couldn’t help but feel angry - and very excited at the same time. Angry because of how they handled her, but excited at the prospect of how formidable she could be (will be!) when SHE is the one calling the shots and following HER own instincts, just like she does on Facebook and Twitter.
Smarmy opportunists like Nicolle Wallace will be out of a job.
Unfortunately, as the above indicates, Sarah has been thoroughly co-opted by Billy Kristol and her other neocon handlers. How does she think the American taxpayer can pay for additional years of Obama’s futile nation building crusade. Please note that she never defines what “winning” means.

0bama apparently wants an exit strategy. Winning is the only exit strategy from a war.
Nation Building is a Left Wing code word for Don’t fight the enemy.
You think we can save money by not fighting the enemy who declared war on us and killed more Americans in one day on 9/11 than at Pearl Harbor.

Let's look at each one of your claims individually and specifically. First, the Taliban never declared war on us. Not a single hijacker was from Pakistan. Most were from allied countries such as Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Are you are arguing that those countries "declared war on us?" It was Al Qaeda (now reduced to a few hundred are in Pakistan NOT Afghanistan) who attacked us.
Nation building (which is inevitable in such wars) is not a left wing code word. The concept has been openly embraced by the last two Republican adminisgtrations.
Al Qaeda (now reduced to a few hundred are in Pakistan not Pakistan. Neither Bush nor Obama has shown much interest in destroying it or capturing/killing its leader. If they have shown an interest, it has been cancelled out by incompetence. Nation building has consistently been their main goal.

Not only talking with my many relatives who have served tours in Iraq, Afghn, and Africa and many there now but also friends and neighbors who are serving.
I rather get my information first hand from those who see it and deal with it in person.
The majority of my relatives who serve in the military have college degrees and families. They even fight for the likes of you so you don’t have to have a family member jump
from the 80th floor of a building hit by the enemy

Unfortunate because the head chill giver, the one-ness, the all Self-Important islamosocialist muslim-in-chief will never read it for himself (wouldn't understand it if he did).
Useless, because the statement and the letter, while undeniable true, will never ever receive country-wide circulation and be put in front of those that need it most.
Publishing it on this site, for sure, make us all feel good. It certainly did me.
But....if you look at the msm site, du, and some others....no mention at all.
What we have here is "preaching to the choir"! Nice music, but "if a truth is told by conservatives, but there are no liberals to hear it, does it make a sound?"
