Sarah Palin: Mr. President: Boycott Copenhagen; Investigate Your Climate Change "Experts"
Facebook ^ | 12-03-09 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 12/03/2009 4:40:25 PM PST by euram

The president’s decision to attend the international climate conference in Copenhagen needs to be reconsidered in light of the unfolding Climategate scandal. The leaked e-mails involved in Climategate expose the unscientific behavior of leading climate scientists who deliberately destroyed records to block information requests, manipulated data to “hide the decline” in global temperatures, and conspired to silence the critics of man-made global warming. I support Senator James Inhofe’s call for a full investigation into this scandal. Because it involves many of the same personalities and entities behind the Copenhagen conference, Climategate calls into question many of the proposals being pushed there, including anything that would lead to a cap and tax plan.

Policy should be based on sound science, not snake oil. I took a stand against such snake oil science when I sued the federal government over its decision to list the polar bear as an endangered species despite the fact that the polar bear population has increased. I’ve never denied the reality of climate change; in fact, I was the first governor to create a subcabinet position to deal specifically with the issue. I saw the impact of changing weather patterns firsthand while serving as governor of our only Arctic state. But while we recognize the effects of changing water levels, erosion patterns, and glacial ice melt, we cannot primarily blame man’s activities for the earth’s cyclical weather changes. The drastic economic measures being pushed by dogmatic environmentalists won’t change the weather, but will dramatically change our economy for the worse.

Policy decisions require real science and real solutions, not junk science and doomsday scare tactics pushed by an environmental priesthood that capitalizes on the public’s worry and makes them feel that owning an SUV is a “sin” against the planet. In his inaugural address, President Obama declared his intention to “restore science to its rightful place.” Boycotting Copenhagen while this scandal is thoroughly investigated would send a strong message that the United States government will not be a party to fraudulent scientific practices. Saying no to Copenhagen and cap and tax are first steps in “restoring science to its rightful place.”

Wonderful Madame Next President.
The carbon traders must be beaten back with the truth.
This house of cards must come down.

While the emails from the CRU are damning it is the
programming code complete with foot notes that proves
the so called research has no scientific value what so ever.

The graphs and data created by this fraud will be used
to initiate the greatest criminal transfer of wealth from the civilized
world and enslave the United States under a one world government
run by world socialist out of the United Nation.

Sarah Palin, you must run and win the next Presidential election.

You can add Sensenbrenner to that list...

I'll start paying attention to him too, then...

...what will the Republicans do. They have been handed a silver dagger to stick into the heart of the Obama administration and the Democrat party. Will they use it?

They should be on the floor of the senate throwing furniture about now, on this, and on Holder's handling of the KSM trial, they should be demanding his removal from office. I keep saying, where is the senator who wants to be president? Because the guy who calls for Holder's removal, and makes it stick, is the next president, in my opinion.

They do seem to be sitting back and waiting. Waiting. Waiting.

Drives me nuts.

My short list is Hunter/DeMint/King/Pence/Palin, in that order. Hopefully, more than one of these will be running cause we are going to get a slug of RINOs too, like Mitt, Perry & Pawlenty. And wimps like Santorum.

Tell her what Palin said about AK wildlife in her book. That should win her over.

Palin said. “In AK there is plenty of room for all of AK wildlife....right next to the mashed potatoes...”

I was ROFLMAO when I read that one in her book

~looking down from Heaven~

James Madison: “Thomas, this Mrs. Palin appears to be quite an annoyance to the current leadership at times”

Thomas Jefferson: ~smiling~ “Indeed she does, Jemmy, indeed she does"

James Madison: “Do you suppose she has a future in politics?”

Thomas Jefferson: “I suppose, Jemmy, for the sake of the United States, she had better”

Sarah Palin is a Free Republic Lurker...
I would like to think so, but what makes you say that?

“Sarah Palin is a Free Republic Lurker and she listens.”

That’s good to know. We should start a thread — just for her — with ideas, suggestions, question, etc. If she chooses to ignore it, fine; but it may save her (or her assistant(s)) a little time and effort in lurking.

She’s absolutely right about Copenhagen — or “Hopenhagen” as those moronic radio advertisements call it — and you are right about the deafening silence of any other Republicans (with the notable, but not unsurprising, exception of James Inhofe). Where’s Eric Cantor? How about Bobby Jindal? Wouldn’t this be a perfect opportunity for someone like Norm Coleman to step back into the limelight?

By the way, has Michele Bachmann made any announcement on this issue?

>make me believe she definitely lurks here

Greetings Governor Palin! Please push this formula for economic recovery in your next, “type type type, send” to the world:

1) Cut all federal salaries by 2/3, since they average double what us plebians in the private sector make
2) Refund the savings in cuts in payroll deductions
3) People have more money to spend, and it is deficit neutral!

Federal workers have had job security for DECADES. They can afford it!

“Hunter was all over this, even before the leaked e-mails.”

And just like last time, nobody noticed.... But tomorrow, everybody in the country will know what Palin said about it.

And you’ll spend the entire time between now and 2012 attacking her, and tearing down every other conservative, just like you did last time.

I would like to think so, but what makes you say that?

I'm guessing. But my point was that I've personally been posting a request/demand that Sarah Palin release a statement on Climategate for several days. So have other Freepers. I read a lot of blogs and I've seen no comments along these lines anywhere else but FR.

So, in lighthearted manner, we can take credit for prompting her to release what is a brilliant Climategate/Copenhagen summary on her Facebook page.

It could also have something to do with the fact Drudge is headlining the threat of snow in Houston. If it occurs it will be the earliest snowfall in history.
