Sarah Palin: Mr. President: Boycott Copenhagen; Investigate Your Climate Change "Experts"
Facebook ^ | 12-03-09 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 12/03/2009 4:40:25 PM PST by euram

The president’s decision to attend the international climate conference in Copenhagen needs to be reconsidered in light of the unfolding Climategate scandal. The leaked e-mails involved in Climategate expose the unscientific behavior of leading climate scientists who deliberately destroyed records to block information requests, manipulated data to “hide the decline” in global temperatures, and conspired to silence the critics of man-made global warming. I support Senator James Inhofe’s call for a full investigation into this scandal. Because it involves many of the same personalities and entities behind the Copenhagen conference, Climategate calls into question many of the proposals being pushed there, including anything that would lead to a cap and tax plan.

Policy should be based on sound science, not snake oil. I took a stand against such snake oil science when I sued the federal government over its decision to list the polar bear as an endangered species despite the fact that the polar bear population has increased. I’ve never denied the reality of climate change; in fact, I was the first governor to create a subcabinet position to deal specifically with the issue. I saw the impact of changing weather patterns firsthand while serving as governor of our only Arctic state. But while we recognize the effects of changing water levels, erosion patterns, and glacial ice melt, we cannot primarily blame man’s activities for the earth’s cyclical weather changes. The drastic economic measures being pushed by dogmatic environmentalists won’t change the weather, but will dramatically change our economy for the worse.

Policy decisions require real science and real solutions, not junk science and doomsday scare tactics pushed by an environmental priesthood that capitalizes on the public’s worry and makes them feel that owning an SUV is a “sin” against the planet. In his inaugural address, President Obama declared his intention to “restore science to its rightful place.” Boycotting Copenhagen while this scandal is thoroughly investigated would send a strong message that the United States government will not be a party to fraudulent scientific practices. Saying no to Copenhagen and cap and tax are first steps in “restoring science to its rightful place.”

How many conservatives did I “tear down”, spanky?

And now that you know Hunter has been all over it, you won’t be able to say no one noticed, because apparently you think if you are ignorant about a subject, everyone else is too.

I hope you’re right. As someone who strongly supports her as President in 2012, I would like to think that she gets ideas from FR. There are a lot of good ideas here.

When she gets elected, she should make Inhofe the head of the EPA. That would make the Leftie heads spin around. Wouldn’t that be a hoot?!?!

I think she once mentioned that she lurks on a lot of Conservative sites, including C4P. She never mentioned FreeRepublic but some of her facebook posts make me believe she definitely lurks here

What, you don't think she might have gotten word that she has lots of fans here? I'm sure a google of Sarah Palin probably has hits to threads here.

she should make Inhofe the head of the EPA

Right before she shuts it down.

Bolton at State.

Petraeus at Defense.

And Deadeye Dick Cheney at the UN. Right before she evicts them.

Hey, this is fun.

>So, in lighthearted manner, we can take credit for prompting her to release what is a brilliant Climategate/Copenhagen summary on her Facebook page.

I would hope Governor Palin is not a finger-in-the-wind person who would actually need US to tell HER what to speak on. I hope not.

If she believes that there is plenty of space in AK for wildlife ... right next to the mashed potatoes, then she does not need us to prompt her, and we can have fun thinking she or one of her assistants lurks here.

Hey Governor Palin! Got an ad for you:

*************************

Kid A: We’ll just tax and spend and borrow.
Palin: You can’t abuse the taxpayers like this!
Kid B: You have a tumor.
Palin: (exasperated) It’s NOT A TUMOR!

“Right beofre she shuts it down”. I was going to add that :-). Along with the NEA and God knows how many other ‘committees.’. I agree with your other picks, too. I feel better already.

Hunter barely made 1% in any of the primaries he was in, or any of the polls.

I like his stands, and his character, but don't you think it's time for Sarah right now instead? She can win this thing, she's got the background, the common sense, the political savvy, and the support. Duncan should be Secdefense, a place he may be destined for.

Hunter got his face out their and he’s committed to being quite vocal between now and then. He’s got a book coming out very soon, he’s giving bloggers and freepers weekly interviews, and he’s going around the country as we speak promoting conservative candidates to run against libtards. So we’ll see. He may not even run. If not, then I’ll be supporting DeMint, who I think is going to.

hunter got less votes than ron Paul. Palin sold 1 million books in 14 days. Has crowds lining up around the freaking block just to see her for 10 sec. hunter has no money. No name rec. Out of 100 people you would be lucky if 3 knew hunter. out of that same 100 99 know Palin. she doesn’t have to spend money on “getting her name out” she has to only get 11% of the people to change their minds.

but go ahead and tilt at those windmills. It is still a free country for awhile yet

Yeah. 99% of the people knew Rudy in 2007. 96% of them knew McCain. 85% knew Romney. Hopefully, the GOP learned a lesson. You tilt your way, I’ll tilt mine.

Besides her speeches, Sarah Palin is writing articles several times a week on the War in Iraq , Afghanistan and our need for victory, the unemployment and economy issues, on the bogus global warming and in support of Sen Inhofe’s investigation of this., and other issues of International and Natinal concern. The Palin bashers only wish they had a candidate half as informed and would have supporters who would wait in line in 30 degree weather over night to see and hear their candidate.

But, but, but, she would have been more valuable to the public if she had instead stayed up in Alaska checking off some useless box on her resume...right?

and we can have fun thinking she or one of her assistants lurks here.

Which is, in fact, all I intended with my lurker comment. She is certainly NOT your typical "finger to the wind" politician.

The real point is that Sarah Palin's philosophy and her instincts for doing the right thing at the right time are very much aligned with a large majority of those of us here on Free Republic. She would be a great poster. To dream.

Yep. And I said, as did many others here, that if the GOP was stupid enough to pick one of those celebrity idiots, they would lose. And they did.
