Excuse my english - I woke up this morning, thinking whew...holidays finally gone, we can get back to work. I was happy and all excited. Suddenly, for some reason, an image went through my mind - like a flash - an image which had everything in it in one shot and then I got sick to my stomach. I suddenly saw, in one second, all what happened last year in America - banks, auto, all the executive orders, islam invasion even in the government, dictatorial arrogance, rules of engagement, healthcare...all the same than where I escaped from - and I thought: it's too late. It's already too late.
Some people here should have thought about that before they stayed home last year or voted for Boob Barr.
Keep that chin UP! We can change this in time.
Never, never, never give up. Never.
No more spicey food for you before going to bed! ;-)
But God is sovereign and nothing happens that He is unaware of.
As my tagline suggests, I believe ugly things are coming, but in the scope of eternity it's not even a drop of water in an ocean.
Don’t participate. My family is not.
Just remember that is what they want. They want us to roll over and feel there is nothing we can do.
Our history tells us Americans do not roll over.
I believe that it is too late to return to the way things were a decade ago - or any time in the past, for that matter. The reason is that the Left - and the dark forces behind them - have been almost entirely successful in their Gramscian ‘long march’ through all of our institutions.
I have said that it will require a housecleaning of Biblical proportions to rstore some semblance of our once free constitutional Republic and the rule of law. This can only occur if enough of us are willing to stand up and take action. And unfortunately for all concerned, that action will take palce in a theater of fire and blood. Such is the nature of those who would make slaves and cattle of us all. Like a disease, they cannot be reasoned with; you cannot negotiate with them any more than you could with a tornado.
Time to acknowledge the elephant in the living room.
I don’t think it’s too late yet (Rush will tell us when it is :)
The biggest threat to the country at the moment is the fascist healthcare bill. I think it’s comparable to or an even greater threat than the Soviet nuclear missiles from the cold war era. But if the Republicans run on REPEALING the bill and do repeal it on winning, I think the country can be back on track once the Kenyan is sent packing. So there’s still hope.
“O ye of little faith..”
I agree. Enoch Powell spoke of Rivers of Blood, and I believe he was right.
“I woke up this morning, thinking whew...holidays finally gone, we can get back to work.”...
My advice would be to focus on work unless you’re in the business of “solving the world’s problems”. There are already plenty of folks out there who are more than willing to screw things up. Take Obama for example. He’s in the business of solving the world’s problems and look how well he’s doing with it.
“Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?”
“It’s not over til WE say it’s over”
Let’s get back into the fight. We haven’t done anything yet. Look at Iran. How powerful the People are, and how weak and cowardly the govt and their goons are. Have Faith!
Try not to participate in Cuba, or even in France and see what happens...sorry guys. I know what I am talking about. What is happening and what took place last year in that government will not be undone. The cop mentality - the army generals mentality, the PC, more and more power to islamist organizations, the huge government take over et al...it will change all the mentality - it will drive more dependant people to vote left to keep their 6 years welfare and food stamps and on and on...that’s the mentality, therefore the government size and opression that always come with big government that, we will not be able to change. We should have stopped that last year at the first stimulus - BEFORE the car, the banks and all.
Defund the problem.
Nah. As long as we have faith in God, the breath of life, and lots and lots of ammo, it isn't too late.
I’ve thought it’s been too late for a long time. I don’t know when the shoe will drop, but the party can’t go on forever. Like the passengers on the Titanic, none of us have any control over the ship hitting the iceberg.
We are peaceful people, but we will not tolerate the endless loss of liberty, which is why many of us are motivated to kick the bums out of office this year and in 2012. Reforming our public institutions and liberating our private ones will take years, but it must be done before our culture is destroyed, our sovereignty lost, and our wealth pilfered. Barring success in those efforts, we are also rather heavily armed. For many of us, surrender is not an option.
Exactly my thoughts. We are swirling the drain.
er...thanks for the joke..ahah
Iran. Honduras. The Soviet Union. Czechoslovakia. The Baltic States. Poland. East Germany. People fighting and yearning to be free.
We are some of the most heavily armed people on the planet. We haven’t exercised any of our options yet. I AM from here. We are still a great people. The govt, on the other hand, needs a complete political enema.
I still believe in America.
That was a “normal war” and Americans were stil true Americans...everybody helped and went to work to help the war effort in 1940!!! Nothing to do with what we have today - islam is NOT a normal war - dictatorship is NOT a normal war. And in both cases, we are eaten alive because we have no clue what;s happening - how to wake up and fight communism and islam. We still think that because we have guns we are not in danger - wrong thinking inded - That’s the problem. We have enemies within that we have not recognized yet. So we are not fighting them yet. And we are loosing - they are winning. We are loosing our freedom and we are loosing our country.
“... where I escaped from ...”
Where was that, American Dream?
It stopped being "too early" awhile ago. But we did nothing.
Washington DC is uniquely beautiful in the Spring:
April 15, 2010, the Biggest Tea Party Ever!
I participated in a car wash this weekend for a young lady on my Daughter’s soccer team who incurred a spinal injury. We raised over $11,000.
The US is filled with True Americans.
Our Army, for the most part, despises Obama.
There are plenty of people, such as Dick Cheney, that can and will fight the hard fight when needed.
And BTW, we all know what’s going on vis-a-vis Communism and Islam. Go to any gathering of people. Listen to their conversations. We all know what the govt is up to, even the Libtards. They haven’t crossed the line that will make the people rise up, peacefully at first, more stidently if necessary.
We know what’s coming.
Ha, ha—like your screen name!
In two short weeks, the Dems could lose their 60-member majority in the Senate.
Scott Brown is within the margin of error and he’s an actual Conservative. His win would be a demoralizing blow to the Left. The fact that this is Ted Kennedys vacant seat is thick, rich gravy.
Your $35 (or more!) could make all the difference.
Right...like that helped last year...dictators don’t give a sh..t about that!!!
NEVER underestimate the american spirit. It is never hopeless in this country. we’re not built that way.
Your perspective and passion is invaluable.
Write, write, write to your Reps. I know, they’re useless and deaf, but copy-in your local newspapers, Wash Post, NYT, American Thinker, Big Government, American Spectator.
I had a very disturbing dream last night - I was walking by myself (daylight) and suddenly a “group” of state police surrounded me and others and herded us on to a school bus. Everyone was asking questions and shouting but all I remember is the word “emergency”. We rode on the school bus to a huge house and several of us (strangers) were led into a very large room which was then locked. Those of us who had our cell phones tried calling our families, friends, but no one got an answer. Someone had Fox News on their phone but there was no mention of any “emergency”. I curled up in the fetal position on a very large bed - cried and prayed - and then I woke up. I pray it wasn’t a premonition of some sort.
Thank you. Just wanted to know where you had escaped from.
I’m very familiar with conditions in Europe, they are very bad almost everywhere—and oppressive.
You are right about what you are seeing here. It is also very bad, and becoming more oppressive every day. Perhaps it’s not quite irreversible yet, but very close I think.
There are other places. There are still places in some South American countries, for example, where one can live very economically, have excellent healthcare and all utilities cheaply, and be very very free. Sadly, America is no longer the land of the free, it’s quickly becoming the land of the enslaved.
Fight for what’s right, no matter what. God doesn’t bless those who surrender to evil in any form.
Hey, watch it!!
The Tea Parties and the raucous Town Hall meetings sufficiently stalled the Health Care Mess that was supposed to be signed (in our blood) last August.
This country is in Big Trouble, no doubt, and I'm as angry and heartsick as you are but we have some momentum and we can't stop fighting.
Something else you may wish to consider...
The Democrat Party and the MSM have exposed themselves for all to see. We now know who they are, what they want, and how ruthless and how much they will lie to get it. The light has been shined upon them. The polls reflect the contempt for Congress, and people are voting with their wallets regarding the MSM. They won’t be able to put that genie back into the bottle.
If I didn’t know better, I’d think they’ve been set up for destruction.
Use this as inspiration: your grandchildren will one day ask you what you did to turn this around. What will you reply?
Get involved. We will not sit still for this.
Well,jobs are being created!
ABC News: President Obama recently named Amanda Simpson to be a Senior Technical Advisor to the Commerce Department. In a statement, Simpson, a member of the National Center for Transgender Equality’s board of directors, said that “as one of the first transgender presidential appointees to the federal government, I hope that I will soon be one of hundreds, and that this appointment opens future opportunities for many others.”
In this three-part series that aired in May 2008, Political Perspectives host Cynthia Dickstein talks with transgender guests Amanda Simpson and C. Michael Woodward about the issues that they must confront as a result of their decisions to change their genders.
Dear “I was not born here”,
This is the source of your problem. You do not understand what it means to be “born here.” Those of us who can trace our roots to the revolution, have America encoded in our DNA. We are all Paul Reveres! And those who have immigrated
here who have taken the time to immerse themselves in American history and culture, get this too. They have adopted the “spirit of America” into their DNA. America can never be taken from us, because WE are America—it will continue as long as we continue!! Now, quit sitting around moaning and get up and get with it—that is if you intend to be one of us “Americans.” Otherwise, bury yourself in tears, but stay out of the way, because “true Americans” are done sitting down, we’re standing up and we’re taking this situation back under control.
I believe in doom
