Let’s say I had a television show and I asked a political candidate some questions regarding, let’s say, about the other entrenched lifer candidates, local issues, state and federal issues, the Constitution, and then asked if he or she believed Babe Ruth was really black or if Barack Obama was really a United States citizen or if there was a 9/11 conspiracy.
Let’s say an answer was given I didn’t like. Would that alone disqualify me from holding public office?
I will admit, I did like some of the things Beck’s said over the last year on Fox News and previous years on radio, but he may have just shown us just how full of himself he really is.
Personally, I’d like to see some new blood running Texas. Rick Perry straddled the bonehead fence when he started talking about secession, Kay Bailey Hutchinson appears to feel she’s entitled to the governorship after many flaky years in the US Senate.
And while we’re at it, let’s talk conspiracy.
Sarah Palin is now a Beck compadre at Fox News. Sarah Palin endorsed Rick Perry. Debra Medina was surging in the polls. Beck throws a beanball at Medina in an attempt to knock her out of the race. How ironic it would be that liberals could use a Glenn Beck audio clip to take out a Republican.
I’ve already made my views (then doubts) about Beck known when I saw him pandering to black Republicans on a weekend show, complete with jungle-looking graphics, trying to come off as a potential savior who understands. I’ve never bought his crying like a pussy, and I’ve rejected every attempt he’s made to make himself a 9/12, tea party grand poohbah.

Whatever Bob things of Beck (and I’m not Beck’s biggest fan), Medina shot her foot off. She even took careful aim doing so. F her. Bob is okay but he is way off base on this one.
Her questions are not just in regards to the 9/11 Commission Report. She’s posed at least one debunked truther claim as a question which she believes is legitimate.
“In her news conference Friday, it is clear Medina was trying to clean up the mess. But in our interview with her hours after the Beck radio show, she repeated there are still questions that need to be answered. On Friday, she told reporters she is curious why no New York City police officers died in the towers when so many firefighters did. That’s not true, however, as 60 police officers were killed.”

Even if Glenn Beck did set her up, which I don’t believe, she’s still a truther. Repeating truther claims as true/legitimate makes one a truther.
Soemtimes a crazy person is better. But not this one. Truthers are poison. Get rid of the bitch.
It wasn’t an ambush, it was a straightforward question. How stupid do you have to be to not be able to say NO when asked if the government was behind 9-1-1. She proved herself a dangerous nutcase. Geez.
You are right she didn’t say it but she should have. She should have been outraged at even being questioned but instead she talked in circles.

They are. But you won’t take her word for it that she isn’t one. One can say there are unanswered questions about 911 and not be a truther - IF it is followed up by the answer that indeed it was Muslim fanatics that did the dirty deed and who declared war on us.
She didn’t have an opinion which is BS. Because if she really thought “NO” she would have said it. Just like any non-truther
I’ve watched the interview a couple times now. It appears to me that Beck was giving her an opportunity to quash some nasty rumors and she blew it big time. How can you blame Beck for her stupid answer?

On the flip side, she had the opportunity to say America, George Bush, Bill Clinton, the CIA, Mossad, etc did it. But she didn’t.

The first question pertains to opinion and she gave hers and it was not “NO!!!!!!”
It wasn’t a sucker punch. Glenn thought it was a throwaway question and asked it because he kept getting emails about it and expected Medina to laugh it off and just say “no”.
Medina though...she’s the one that stepped in it with her fence sitting response.
I haven’t done a whole lot of research on Medina, but if people like Glenn Beck are calling her a loon because she says that she thinks people have a right to question their government, then I think the inmates have taken over the funny farm. lol.
How can Beck talk about communist plots and then say that somebody is a loon for saying we have the fundamental freedom to question our government?
The only person who would say we’re loony if we say people should be able to question our government is somebody who’s either paid by the communists, threatened by the communists, or has had their mind taken over by the communists.
Beck has to know what a hypocrite this reveals him to be.

Nice try. Look at the question she was asked by Beck and ask yourself if that is the answer that would be given by someone who believes it was Islamic terrorists only and that our government was not involved. It was a softball question (NOT a “beanball”) for anyone who’s not a “truther”. She may not be a truther, but she sure was trying to play footsie with them. It is over. She is done.

What a loon! This is not Glenn’s fault. He had received numerous emails prior to the interview indicating that Medina was or might be a truther. So he asked a question! If she was not a truther, it was a softball question. But it was her answer that confirmed the suspicions! That is her fault, not Glenn’s.
I can easily say. NO, I do not believe that the US Government was anyway involved in the 911 attack. However, it is our Constitutional right to QUESTION our Government in everything and watch them very closely.
To this, I would add that the 911 non partisan commission found NOTHING to suggest the Government was any way involved.
Exactly. Beck even gave her two more tries at the question just to make sure she didn’t “misunderestimate” the question.
Not making fun of GW’s new word, it just fits so well in so many places in todays politcal climate.
