If you don’t mind, I’m just going to cross Tacoma off my list of cities to visit. Forty years ago it wasn’t such a bad place.
Given the area, I think the consent they were worrying about was the tree’s.

LOL... I heard this on the radio yesterday morning, on Bryan Suits’ show. I was just waking up... thinking... did I really hear what I think I heard?
A friend of mine is a Tacoma cop. I’ll have to find out if he’s got any inside scoop.
I think it was reported as a woman being sexually assaulted in the park... and lots of cops descended on the park ready to hunt for some sort of rapist... but when the real story came out, they were (of course) relieved and apparently a bit amused by the whole thing.
Well, the article only says that “nobody was arrested”. Nothing really “arrestable” seems to have happened. It doesn’t say whether anybody received a citation for indecent exposure, or something. A citation wouldn’t have meant an arrest.
