Last June, I noted Gen. David Petraeus's MoveOn.org-like take on Guantanamo Bay -- close it because it causes us problems and violates (unspecified) Geneva Conventions -- and his willingness to attribute to the Palestinian war on Israel "justifications" for the existence of Hezbollah. Now this from Foreign Policy (via Judeosphere): On Jan. 16, two days after a killer earthquake hit Haiti, a team of senior military officers from the U.S. Central Command (responsible for overseeing American security interests in the Middle East), arrived at the Pentagon to brief Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Michael Mullen on the Israeli---http://www.dianawest.net/Home/tabid/36/EntryId/1318/Is-Petraeus-an-Islamic-Tool-Part-2.aspx

Gen. Petraeus, according to this article, seems to be working to influence WH attitudes and actions on Israel-Palestine, with Israel the underdog.

Is Petraeus a Greek name? Figures. Hellenists always did hate Israeli Jews.

It sounds (looks?) Greek. But whatever his attitudes or feelings toward Jews, he shouldn’t be actively working in favor of one side or the other.

Remember, one doesn’t get to the top in the military without being a politician also....

Actually, he should be actively working AGAINST the enemies of the US. In speaking for Islamists, he is actively forsaking his vow to protect the Constitution and the American people. His plans will suffer. Genesis 12:3

If our goal is to democratize the ARab and Islamic world, we need to appease them. Putting aside the fact that an Arab world would simply vote a bination state into existance, ending Israel, the very democratization project proposed by the neoconservatives endangers Israel. The reality is that they are liberals and like all liberal projects, this one is at odds with reality ISrael just lacks the strategic defense the US has to such stupidty.
Far from being Israel-firsters, neoconservates are useful idiots for the Muslims seeking conquest through peaceful means (Dawa).
