Yet another reason to have very little $$ there.
What if people do not have a bank account?
Seniors, baby boomers and everyone else are so sc*ewed if the GOP does not win in Nov 2010 and the House DEFUNDs this nightmare.
Democrats forcing people to hide money in mattresses to avoid them?
so... if i have money in my account, they will charge me some extreme amount in order to get care?
just swell.
How do you survive without a bank account in today’s world?
MMMmmm. Are we “safe” is we keep the money in an account at a stock broker?

The world has changed from the depression era. How do you pay bills, pay property taxes, utility bills etc without a checking account?

Well, then, that leaves a foreign bank account. Time to do some research. Switzerland anyone?
This needs to be explored a little more now that government is getting so intrusive.
Why is this not considered unreasonable search under the constitution??
So do the property tax collectors. and the utility companies.
I am thinking a lot of self employed and small business owners and entrepreneurs have a cash box on hand-
Govt as a co-signer on your bank accounts may make the practice even more widespread. Those bank accounts could stay open but “shrink” a bit, eh?
