I'm tempted to say that Sullivan owes it to us to explain what he thinks is at stake in the story of Palin and Trig, but I think that's not quite right. I'll leave it at this: as a regular reader, I would like to know what he thinks is at stake here. And I might even believe that he owes it to Palin and her family to explain why the stakes are high enough to outweigh their privacy. At least for me, it has to be more than just her habit of straying from the truth; we have more than enough examples of that.
These are excellent questions in an excellent summary of the options. Let me start with the obvious. If any of the three scenarios Jonathan has pointed out is true, then Sarah Palin has no business running for president and should never have been picked for vice-president.

That guy is just too stupid to realize that Sarah Palin gave birth to Trig. He’s the definition of a moron. His obsession about Trig is off the wall. So according to him Trig is not her kid, so I guess Rick Perry is in on the act too, because he was there when she went into labor and has repeated the story many times, so I guess he is in on the big lie too. I think Sullivan is just upset that Sarah has a gorgeous man in her life and he can’t have him
Sullivan is angry that he long ago blew his cover as a leftist, pretending to be conservative.
Because the absolute trophy for these types is Sarah Palin.
Make no mistake, leading up to the 2012 election, there will be so called “conservatives” coming out of the woodwork against Palin. Pundits, talk show hosts and bloggers.
Do not listen to them. Judge Palin based on Palin.
Sarah Palin appears to be living in these peoples heads rent free 24/7 despite being an irrelevant-quitting-ethic bending-airheaded-bad/fake mother.
The way she drives libs straightjacket-crazy is the most interesting politial spectacle I have ever seen. I have to be honest in that I have no idea what to make of it or where her star will eventually fall but regardless, I absolutely love the woman and consider her the last great hope remaining on the political horizon.
Some of the Gents can talk the talk but lack the moxy and savvy that Palin possesses. Too much respect for Sarah to say that she has Ba!!s but the so-called leaders of the GOP sure do lack them.

Notice anything there about doing due diligence on Mr. Obama? The've done nothing but investigate and spy on Governor Palin since September 2008.
She very well may be the last star in the Conservative firmament. While it seems obvious that Americans won’t approve of the Democrats this fall, a standard bearer to run against Obama is still needed. Who will it be? Gingrich, Romney, Huckabee - McCain (shudder)?
It seems like only Sarah has the star power to seize the imagination.
Sarah makes me feel sorry for everybody. She makes me feel sorry for all the women because they’re not like her, and sorry for the men because all the women aren’t like her.
The fixation that so many people have with Palin and Trig is bizarre, to say the least.
She carried Trig around with her for 2 reasons: first, she was nursing him at the time, and second, she was making the statement that Trig was a wanted child, thereby pointing out that all parents of a "special needs child" were doing the right thing by bringing that child to term and caring for it.
In this day of quickie abortions for no reason at all other than wanton, promiscuous sex, it is refreshing to see anyone in the public eye do the right thing.

I'm still astounded how a guy like Baraq can have a totally blank slate and wind up as POTUS. And the few records that we do know exist like the bc and school stuff are in a "lock box".
I seem to remember about a week after the election the WP apologized for shamelessly shilling for Obama.
I was furious about it. AFTER the election they apologize for putting ZERO into power. I blame creeps like them for destroying this country and betraying our founders.
This crap and the people that push it are insane.
I thought the left thought it was unfair to bring the kids into it? Keep it up lefties and we will start to question if Obama’s kids are actually Larry Sinclairs.
