Can’t be any worse than those nasty things in the chillbox at 7-Eleven and the airport concessions.

I am glad MSNBC makes it a point to talk about the stories that matter most and effect main street the most. /sarc

Didn’t this whole concept start with Prince Albert?

Well, you open the can take out the wrapped hot dog bun, take out the packets or jelly and peanut butter and put the sandwich together. Ok so how is this a sandwich in a can. I could just do that at home in a plastic container for way less money.

Supposedly that Yoder's stuff is foul. But ask any former Boy Scout & they will tell you that K-Mart used to sell a
"Celebrity" brand canned bacon from Hungary that was actually pretty excellent for campout breakfasts. It's evidently no longer imported, though. (My guess is that EU regs killed the product.)

I’ve found all the Yoder’s can meats to be excellent!

I think the idea is that this product could be vended in machines like soft drinks.
But I agree that this is essentially an exercise in overpackaging. They already have MRE bread in vacuumed mylar packs. Tack on a couple of those PB & Jelly condiment tubes and you've got the same thing without paying for the gimmicky - and totally superflous - can.

Do you remember brown bread in a can? Some had raisins in them. I wish I could buy those now,

LOL, okay, you can be our official taste tester, then. I was just relating what others who'd had the Celebrity brand while camping as boys told me, but I wouldn't touch any of it with a ten foot pole anyway. I'm a s'mores girl, myself!
