Good work. When you’re done with this you could make a list of these guys who get fired over this. (that should be a lot shorter list).

Possible short-cut for expanding the list quicker:

Maybe when we read a “news item” presented with a left-wing slant and we don’t find the so-called journalist’s name on the updated JournOlist, we could email them and ask point blank if they were on that now-defunct list. I suspect most wouldn’t lie about it for fear of being found out later.

Just a thought.

JOURNOLIST AGREES OBAMA LIED...

Dean Baker, at the time a blogger at the American Prospect, agreed the policy was dishonest, but defended it anyway. “Sure, some of the things they are saying are not true (the jobs story first and foremost),” he wrote, “but the industry groups have this town blanketed with lobbyists and own a large portion of Congress outright. … There has to be some counterforce to the industry groups and that is the populist rabble. It might not be pretty, but that’s Washington.” …

“I’ve heard that there’s some disappointment in the administration that they haven’t gotten the level of progressive love they feel they deserve for their ambitious proposals to curb abusive corporate tax loopholes,” wrote influential liberal blogger Matt Yglesias the next day. Yglesias went on to attack opponents of the plan, noting “how absurd some of the abuses the administration is trying to curb are.

Part of my anger comes from a place where I cherish a free press...

People like Krugman - people who bring their hatreds to an honorable profession with no reason other a desire to bully those they don't like - enrages me. I'm sorry there aren't editors with the wit to understand the damage this type of out of control group think does to their business. Where are the great editors of the past?

The American press - at their hands - has become a profession trusted less than used car salesmen. And they've done it in less that 40 years.

Thanks JournoList - from all the people who wanted the MSM to die...

...you could make a list of these guys who get fired over this. (that should be a lot shorter list).

I'm just happy we don't have elite members of the MSM still able to look down their noses at us (conservatives) when we say members of the press are working together against us.

They are working together against us. And they lied about it.

really...

Do the people at the top care? Were they offended by Journolist? Or were they quietly backing them? We'll know soon... the "list" of those fired will tell the truth.

So, your "short list" might not have more than a name or two on it... another slap in the face to the half of Americans who are conservative... another nail for MSM credibility...

Yep. Notice that when describing the members of JournoList, the media writes “400 journalists, bloggers, and members of academia.” Ezra Klein is a policy wonk, so he invited authors and professors to join the listserv.

Am I gonna be the first on FR to say there are an awful lot of names indicating a heavy ‘Chosen People’ presence??!!

Just stay away from it. The last thing we need is to be accused of being anti-semetic. Besides, there's this quote , which refers to Israel and the Jewisht people as well as Abrahyam, you should take into consideration:

I wll bless those that bless you, and curse those that curse you.---God

Of the time I spend online reading news/blogs/opinion, this list has pissed me off because I read Felix Salmon, DeLong (now defunct blog), Thoma and Galbraith all the time, all four are on my daily RSS feed for economics/finance.

Names I expect to see exposed include Barry Ritholtz, Greg Mankiw, and Troy K. Schneider.
