Today, a group called the 10.10 project came out with a pro-environmental video which has gathered a LOT of negative publicity. The group has since issued the canonical retrenchment-couched-as-an-apology "to those who really deserve this, but who are clueless enough to have admitted their guilt by being offended, we are sorry you're stupid". But, uncharacteristically, the group has ONLY pulled the video from its own website, and is making no effort to scrub it from the web at large. (Which is probably a good thing, as the video has gone viral within twelve hours).

The video is a series of short vignettes -- one with a daffy liberal teacher in front of elementary-aged children; another in an office; another with a soccer team; and the last in a radio studio -- of a leader explaining the need to curtail our carbon footprint, and asking for people willing to reduce said footprint by 10%. Invariably, there are a couple of holdouts, to whom the speaker says, "Fine, No Pressure"...just before pressing a red button which blows up the naysayers and splattering blood and gore all over the rest of the assembled group.
Now, this is bad enough, even *if* you accept the after-the-fact coverup explanation that this was meant to be humorous through exaggeration, and to engage in shock value in order to promote discussion. ("Any publicity is good publicity.")
But even given that, weren't these dunderheads thinking?
1) They led off by blowing up children. You DON'T blow up children, ever. You can abort them, even partial-birth abort them, even leave living babies born after attempted abortion to die alone in a supply closet (thanks, Obama!) or lobby to have retarded children up to the age of a year or so killed (thanks, Prof. Peter Singer of Princeton University!)
But you *can't* just blow them up.
2) Well, wait a minute. I know of one group who regularly blows up children.
Jihadists.
3) And 10:10 adds up to the same number as 9:11. You know, when thousands of innocents died at the hand of M_slim fanatics.
So my proposal is this: can someone dub over this video (like the now-stale Hitler-in-the-bunker scene from The Downfall) and make it read "the 9-11 project"? And have the lead character's voice and/or subtitles change, now urging those in the audience to convert to Islam?
And remember...
NO PRESSURE.
It's sadistic.
Besides, if they had guns, they wouldn’t know how to use them anyway.
That’s such a comforting thought.
Take it from a former greener, the video is spot on with how they “think.”
There is an unmistakable anti-humanity undercurrent to the entire environmentalist-wacko movement, which they usually aren't as obvious about as in the sick 1010 video, Still, it begs parody.
When you look at the people involved in making that abomination, it makes you stop and think. Richard Curtis, a well-known director? A couple of well-known European footballers and the Tottenham Hotspur football club, which is in the English Premier League? Gillian Anderson from “The X-Files?” This is not some bunch of sub-morons in their mother’s basement. These are serious luminaries in their fields. And they bought into this thing.
They walk among us.

That was straight out the the greener wet dream study guide.
I always thought the ‘depopulation’ garbage was horse pucky.
What was needed was stewardship of the land.
But greeners don’t want that, they see man as a disease and man using the land they see as akin to rape.

That does seem to be what they’re aiming for. These guys give misanthropy a bad name.

They put out a video of eco-whacko’s blowing people up, shortly after people in this country were terrorized by an extreme eco-nut who wanted to blow people up!
Yeah, the irony is quite delicious.
The Green Scare warnings from the Global Warming cultists is far more “off the mark” than the so called “Red Scare” ever was.
We are not killing the planet via toilets, air conditioning, and gas burning cars.
There were and still are Communists who want to see the American Way come to an end.
