Murkowski ia a cheater, a traitor to her party, and shouldn't be trusted - burns "Bridge to Nowhere"

In addition to potential theft of elected office I see in various parts of the country, the debacle in Alaska is turning my stomach. Lisa Murkowski has shown that she is unworthy of any serious consideration as an elected official. Other than democrats, I’m actually shocked that any appreciable number of Alaskans voted for her. She is the next self-promoting loser in the parade of blue-blood republicans willing to do whatever it takes to stay attached to the government teat. It is behavior I expect in a liberal socialist, not a republican. Specter, Crist, and now Murkowski all put “self” above “service”.

Knowing their candidate couldn’t win, and preferring a RINO over a proven conservative, I believe a large number of democrats “crossed over” to support the Murkowski write-in candidacy. That number may be large enough to keep Miller, the conservative candidate, out of the Senate. A combination of the democrat cross-over vote, combined with the Ted Stevens republican vote may be enough to do the trick, though Ms. Murkowski’s ego is likely unable to accept the possibility any potential win was provided by such a twist.

I really can’t blame the democrats who crossed over to vote for Murky. It was a smart move on their part. I would do the same thing if the roles were reversed. If the strategy proves to be successful, they will have eliminated a principled conservative in favor of a woman who has shown to be willing to place her own ambitions above anything else. She has proven to be the type of practical politician that liberal socialists are comfortable working with in Washington, D.C. And believe me, after hiking her skirt like that, the Dems will come calling.

If Ms. Murkowski is seated, I would say to Senate republicans – beware. Though Ms. Murkowski says she will caucus with republicans, she has shown she cannot be trusted to stay within established practices and traditions. I don’t believe it a far stretch to fear she is capable of switching parties if something pretty is dangled in front of her. If she is successful in her write-in campaign, she will have cheated her party out of their candidate of choice and robbed Americans of a much needed conservative voice in Congress at a critical time.

This woman infuriates me. Have all the votes been counted yet? These writes in are costing the state money and should never have been ok’d by that judge. What a friggen mess.

She really makes me sick. What is more concerning is that so many Alaskans chose to vote for her after the way she has acted.

No and won’t be for a couple of weeks or more. Heck the absentee/mail-in type ballots have until like Nov. 15 to be received. The Lt. Gov. is now indicating they may begin counting the write-ins around Nov. 10, orginally he indicated it would be Nov. 18.

They have bumped up the schedule in the counting process.

One must consider that there was literally a last minute game changer when there were an additional some 125 extra write-in candidates on the ballot, plus the absentee military votes have not been counted, that is the CORE of Alaska votes.

And yes there was a Lisa M on the list, as was Joe Millers name, so many people may have wrote his name in instead of marking off the vote, and I think many Alaskans did that.

Yes I am in Wasilla, and everyone hates Lisa for her antics, and we countered her move. I think Joe will win, I predicted his primary win and I get the same vibes now.

Lisa and Pelosi will become a pair of has beens.

Is the Lt. Gov. a dem or rep? I don’t live there so I’m not really up on that.

Btw, if in 2016 Murky wins the R primary, I predict the Rat will take the seat. 50% of Republicans in AK will never vote for this woman. The Rats who crossed over this time to support the write-in will go D next time.

Did you see a list at the polls with Joe Miller on it? He was on the official candidate list published by the Elections Division but wasn’t noted as a write-in like the other write-ins were.

Haven’t they said write-ins for Joe Miller will not count?

technically, the write ins have not been counted, we can only hope that a good portion of them are for Mickey Mouse...or that a subtstantial number of the absentee ballots are for Joe....

I am so angry about this so called woman, she'll be COW to me for her entire life...she is not worthy of a full name...

I am too. I thought Alaska was a more conservative state.

I think the counter move was a great idea. I’m hoping and praying she’s not even close to winning, what a jerk. If she wins she’s the type that would rub peoples noses in it and probably have an eneimes list.

Yes I did see a posted list and Joe Millers name was on it. So was McAdams, the judges will HAVE to go with exact spelling on this, any aberration or whimsical deviation will disqualify the vote. Like Lisa the Queen Murkowski, it will get tossed I think, exact spelling rules here.

Personally I believe Joe has enough write-ins in his name alone to surpass what she has.

All he needs is something like 14,500 more votes than her.

I think those votes will be valid, his name was on the list.

[the judges will HAVE to go with exact spelling on this]

Correct me if I am wrong, but haven’t they already said that the voters intent will be determined when counting votes and that mispelling of Murkowski’s name will not matter if the intent is clear. However, if the voter clearly intended to vote for Joe Miller by putting his vote in the write-in line it will not count because write-ins for Joe Miller will not count! That is what Alaskan officials have said! Joe Miller will have to take this to court, but the court has ruled in Murkowkis favor before when they decided to ignore the law and allow lists of write-in candidates to be handed out.

I sure hope your right. Murkowski wins, she will be no friend to the tea party.

http://www.elections.alaska.gov/ci_pg_cl_2010_genr.php

Thanks. I was going by this list from the State website of listed candidates. It notes write-in by those that filed the official letter of intent and doesn’t display write-in beside the candidates that won party primaries. I was just curious if you say won at a polling location.

Again thanks.

Eye....IIRC, you were fairly sure Cow would win this several weeks ago...so if you're saying that Joe will win, I am impressed....I hope to God that you're right....

if the state passed out a write in sheet to voters with names on it that were not legitimate write ins, who could not be written in, like the SOS is saying,THAT is a deliberate atempt to throw the election and Joe should have his lawyers ready to go.....hint hint...hire the best lawyers even if they're Rats....they are the best at what they do..

folks...Joe is appealing for money so if you can , donate...

I'm not "tea party" officially but the tea party attitude and spirit is that the impossible is attainable if you work hard enough..

I think Millers attorneys will take this to court saying that the voters “intent” was to vote for Joe Miller by their “intent” of writing his name instead of other methods, a stronger argument for Miller to pursue I believe.

This is the can of worms Lisa brought with her, and all the reasons to create laws to prevent it from happening again.
