10 Signs That The American People Are Starting To Freak Out About The Condition Of The Economy
Hawaii News Daily ^ | July 15, 2011 | Michael Snyder

Posted on 07/16/2011 3:58:48 PM PDT by Kartographer

All over America, restlessness and frustration are growing. It has now been almost three years since the great financial crash of 2008, and yet the U.S. economy is still a complete and total mess. In fact, there are all sorts of signs that things are about to get even worse, and the American people are just about fed up. Virtually every major poll, survey and measure of consumer confidence shows that the American people are becoming more pessimistic about the economy. Millions of hard working Americans that worked their fingers to the bone for their employers and that did everything “right” are sitting at home on their couches tonight staring blankly at the television. Many of them still have a hard time believing that they were laid off and that there is nobody out there that wants to give them a good job. There are millions of other Americans that won’t get much sleep tonight because they will spend much of the night rolling around in bed wondering how they are possibly going to be able to pay the mortgage. We have never faced such an extended economic downturn in modern U.S. history, and a lot of people are starting to freak out about the condition of the economy.

Yes but those small arms were fully automatic weapons, and ordnance supplies for the destruction of armored vehicles were already in place. Do we as a people have that?

These things can be captured and liberated.

Now, has anyone else noticed a sudden spike in gas prices this past week?

Two weeks ago prices here in Aiken County, SC had declined to $3.03* and I was thinking it wouldn't be too long before it was under $3.00. I filled up yesterday and the price was back up to $3.39.

This economy ain't gonna turn around by election time in 2012. nobama had better get to planning some massive voter fraud if he wants to keep the White House.

* Gas prices are very low here as SC doesn't have much of a gas tax.

My wife is asian and I’m white. Plenty of doors are closed to us.

Huh? Where? Why?

I'm black, and my wife is white, but we've never had any kinds of doors closed to us. You sure you're not living in 1940? Wow.

Yes, but it would not be a cake walk, take planning and organization and OPSEC. Yes we could do, but it would hardly be a cake walk.Lots of hurting and dying. We would need to have medical folk in place, all of it.And a place to bury the butchered. Once begun, no going back.

Our patriotism would be sorely tested. Are there enough Swampfoxes among us?

“Obama will get to declare martial law, and postphone the 2012 elections.”

Please . . . . lay off the caffeine.

Yep, same in Houston. Gas was around $3.29/gal two weeks ago, now it’s up around $3.45 (and that’s with my Kroger discount card).

What will happen when they run out of things to sell?

The same thing people do when they run out of things to sell in other bankrupted government raped countries ...

For the record, Bush asked for TARP.

Additionally, how did obama contribute to CA’s unemployment? That was done by the local loons.

And finally, I am Concervative and want out of Afghanistan. After 10 years, it’s their country to fight and die for. Not ours.

The most extreme example was when I took her and my two kids to a gun show.

At one table the guy gave a Hitler salute and said “Seig Heil”. The guy at the adjacent table refused to even talk with us let alone sell us something.

The majority of the vendors were fine though.

Sadly, but that is what people are going to have to do, almost, it is just rhetoric now, but...wow, it almost aint funny!

As in any war, the two sides are going to need uniforms to know friend from foe. Sad, but it may come to that.

I would buy those from her.

So would I, if I had the money. The problem is, in these bankrupted countries, nobody has any money and are reduced to selling for peanuts (if they can even find a buyer) whatever they have or whatever they can make. They do it and hope to make enough simply to eat and stay alive.

We had a son return from Moldova (where this picture was taken) and he brought back some of the strangest, crudest things people had desperately made trying to make whatever they could get. Almost nobody had much of anything. If you wanted to use a public rest room you had to bring your own toilet paper, if you could even find any. The entire country is broke (thanks, Communism!). Many Moldovan women are lured into other countries with promises of menial jobs and end up enslaved in the sex trades where they disappear and eventually die.

I fear this is where we are headed unless we get our act straightened out and fast!

So you ran into a couple of azzhole racists. They don't have the power to close any doors to you and your family. Screw 'em.

You're alright, bud. Carry on.

I did a similar thing some years ago visiting Cozumel. We rented a car and drove around the island, including the road that took us through the area where people lived. It was deplorable. Came across an older woman selling Mexican blankets for $5. I walked up, took her hand, placed a $20 bill in it, and walked away.

I may not have much, but I have more than many.
