Rush Limbaugh's Spartacus Moment

El Rushbo calls it like it is. To the statists (including big government RINOs), the leftists, the socialists, the communists...we are all Sarah Palin. Just as she has been targeted for destruction, so we are targeted for destruction. Our mere existence stands in the way of their headlong drive to accumulate all power to themselves. It's time we recognized this and declare WE ARE ALL SARAH PALIN NOW!!!...

Rush has always been correct. The man is brilliant and his knowledge of all things incredible. Mostly though...he has facts and common sense and both of those combined make him smarter than one could imagine. Thank God for Rush. He is the man, always has been the man and always WILL be the man. When I want the truth... I go to him but...I do that every day anyway so... :)

I love that he has a great memory and doesn’t let the lying Dims get away with ANYTHING. I’m sure they HATE that since they rely so heavily on the collective, retarded memory of the American public in order to run the country the way they want to.

Boy, did Rush NAIL IT this week in his warnings and predictions on the debt limit fight.

I wish he'd run for senator from Florida to replace the incumbent Dem dope, Bill Nelson.

But that's only a wish....what would we do without Rush on the air waves....he's our lifeline in times of chaos, despair and turmoil.

No, Rush, as admirable as has been Sarah Palin's courage, we must not identify ourselves with any mere human--a mistake the voters made in 2008!

Instead, we must identify ourselves by the ideas of liberty encapsulated in our Declaration of Independence and structured in "We, the People's" chain on our elected and appointed individuals in government--the Constitution of the United States.

All individuals are imperfect human beings who can do great things. America's founding generations are great examples of that. It is their passion for ideas which identifies and distinguishes them, however.

Let's rediscover the ideas which made America a place where oppressed people from all around the globe longed to be, and where they came to enjoy "the blessings of liberty" under our written Constitution.

"Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it; no constitution, no law, no court even can do much to help it." - Judge Learned Hand

When nimrod Republicans who have yet to experience the Hell of ultimate MSM hate enter the presidential race and then are shocked at the mean spirited heated evil thrown their way they should seek the advice of “Job” Palin—she who has already endured the full ferocity of Satan and come out better and stronger and infinitely capable of extinguishing not only the GOP competition but the wicked Left as well.

When jaded pampered wannabees like Rick Perry experience what Sarah has, look for their hands sticking up from their vaporized remains signaling surrender.

So, there are chinks in the armor of Saul Alinsky's "Rule of Radicals". (Pardons to my Chinese friends...)

7. "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time...."
Barry is a drag.

8. "Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose."
Flip-flop-flim-flam is no longer working for the Neo-Comms.

9. "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself."
Can you say "default"? THERE IS NO DEFAULT in our future, but the argument is scary, isn't it?

13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'...
"...any target can always say, 'Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?' When your 'freeze the target,' you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments.... Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the 'others' come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target...'
"One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other."
If WE are all Sarah Palin, then this tactic has become useless...bravo Rush! The devil is in the details and there are details (and devils) on both sides of this mess.

"Rules for Radicals" is failing them!!!!! Know your enemy!

Actually, she has just the right qualities for humans to identify with. She has consistently maintained that there is no leader of the Tea Party, and that it should remain that way. That is the kind of leadership we need in Washington. Someone who has a servant’s heart...someone who considers themselves part of the wave, as opposed to riding the wave.

Rush is not always right. In fact, with regard to Palin, he’s been at best tepid—up to now. Don’t know what triggered his seeming support for Palin. Perhaps it was Boehner’s miserable budget performance over what should have been a political slam dunk.

But glad to have him aboard—at last.

He’s also wrong about a third party potential. If the GOP continues to be the RINO Party it will be simply an arm of the demrat party. In other words, there is no national opposition party to the demrats. That vacuum will be filled one way or the other. It’s axiomatic.

we must not identify ourselves with any mere human

Perhaps you misunderstand what a “Spartacus Moment” is. It is the exact reverse of identifying ourselves with any one human being. It is the identification of one human being with an idea that far transcends that one person.

For Spartacus and company, freedom was the one glorious idea that bound them all together as one, an idea so powerful they would pay any price to hang on to it. Under the leadership of one man, that idea took on full human expression. To identify with Spartacus was not to lower oneself to admiration of a mere mortal, but to raise one’s self in undying loyalty to an immortal idea being well-lived by that one mortal.

So it is with Sarah. It is the idea she embodies that has brought on the ire of the Alynskiites, who have tried desperately to isolate, freeze, and take her down. She is scarred but not destroyed, and that is a miracle. It is also a sign that the idea she represents, both in word and deed, is stronger than all the forces arrayed against it, that the hunger for freedom is as powerful now as it was in the days of Spartacus, that no coterie of international thugs can take our freedom from us if we reject the premise of our own destruction, and choose to stand against them.

So, for me, when one by one we stand and proclaim, “I am Sarah Palin,” we are telling our enemies, to their face, bring it on, do your worst, but in the end, liberty will stand, and you will fall, because freedom is too big to fail.

I am Sarah Palin!

I am definitely feeling 3rd party coming on. A friend of mine ran for and won a state house seat in North Carolina running as an independent (first time this ever happened in the state, I believe). I know Rush feels this will ensure the re-election of Obama. Maybe it will. But our problem seems AS MUCH TO DO WITH GOP leadership as it does in fighting liberalmania. AS Rush says, “We need to win more elections.” If enough conservatives are elected so that we control both houses, we can wrest control of the party agenda—and begin to dismantle goliath.

One more thing that happens if we take both houses (with conservatives) is Obama becomes the Zero that, deep down inside, he really is. He won’t get anything done that can further damage this country, only watch as Congress saves it from his socialist agenda. He will be reduced to spending all of his time vetoing/trying to veto bill after bill (won’t that look like he can “reach across the aisle”). He will become the tinny voice like the voice in Rush’s satirical pieces that says nothing, does nothing, is nothing. He will become the very thing that so many of us saw him as when he ran in ‘08—an affirmative action, no resume, no credentials, know-nothing who is capable of little more than an occasional shake-down.

Yours is an eloquent explanation that the statement in question is, indeed, ideas-based. Thank you.

That is a good. On the other hand, for those who understand, and can articulate, the ideas of liberty, one might also conclude that an army of individuals repeating and circulating the essential principles of their liberty among their peers throughout America may prove to be more powerful than would allowing the enemies of freedom to paint them with the same brush, they have attempted to do to the brave and courageous Sarah Palin. Let's face it: many who are not in the "choir" will be influenced by the image the media creates of one individual or identifiable group (TEA partiers). Millions of individuals, however, unidentified except for the strength of their ideas, may be harder to smear.

Thomas Jefferson, author of our Declaration of Independence, asserted that the Declaration was a reflection of what he called "the American mind" of 1776. The writings and speeches of that period agree. How can one read the great sermons of the Revolutionary period, or the newspapers and speeches without realizing that Jefferson simply reflected ideas which already had taken hold in the minds and hearts of his fellow Americans?

Millions of Americans, rediscovering the ideas of 1776 and 1787, can and should take it upon themselves to be active participants in the battle of ideas which will determine the future of America.

One may or may not wish to go under the banner of another, but all should engage in the fight. Future generations deserve no less.

In examining questions before us today, the following may be helpful:

"1. Does this legislation or idea increase, or decrease, individual freedom and creativity?

"2. Does this legislation or idea increase, or decrease, the power of some citizens over other citizens?

"3. Does this legislation or idea recognize that the persons who will exercise the power are themselves imperfect human beings?

"4. Does this legislation or idea recognize that government is incapable of creating wealth?

"5. Does this legislation or idea authorize taking from some what belongs to them, and giving it to others to whom it does not belong?
If 'thou shalt not steal' is a valid commandment, can we assume that it is meant to apply only to individuals and not to government (which is made up of individuals), even if those persons in power pass laws which sanction such redistribution of the wealth of others?'

"6. Does this legislation or idea encourage, or discourage, the very highest level of morality and responsibility from the individual?
. . .when government makes actions 'legal' by some citizens at the expense of other citizens, the result may be behavior which would not be considered possible by individuals acting alone.

"7. Does this legislation or idea propose that the 'government' do something which the individual cannot do without committing a crime?"**

**7 principles drawn from James R. Evans book, "America's Choice, Twilight's Last Gleaming or Dawn's Early Light?" and reprinted in a Stedman (Asheboro, NC) booklet entitled "I'm Only One, What Can I Do?"

Again, thank you for your explanation of the "Spartacus" concept.

I too support Sarah. I believe she stands for the things and ideas that I hold dear. I sincerely hope she runs for and wins the Presidency.

But even if all that comes to pass it will not magically make America whole again. Instead, it will drive the liberal Alinskyites (sp?) underground to continue nibbling at the foundations until the get another opportunity to rule over us. Lest any of us forget — the vitriol, the hate, the violence they espouse will only simmer underground and when they and their ideas once again see the light of day it will burst forth to consume us and our way of life.

If we truly intend to make this country safe for our children and grandchildren we must first win the next election then steel our hearts and adopt Bill Clinton’s Rules of Engagement. It is not a pleasant thing to consider but I see no other way to ensure the survival of freedom on this earth.

I hope Americans do better against Obama than than Leonides against Xerxes, but in any case: “The world will know that free men stood against a tyrant, that few stood against many.” We cannot allow communism or socialism to get any more of a grip on the last major bastion of freedom. We must shrink our government, and we must do it now. To fail would prompt a return to the dark ages at best. To fail even to try will probably put an end to even the memory of freedom.

I think the Marxist’s will dig deep into their bag of tricks to ensure they they occupy the WH and Senate again. 2012 will be very dirty and, perhaps, lethal.

There’s an epic battle looming and guys like Boehner have no clue. I think they really believe Onada is just another loyal American with a different agenda.

>>> I am definitely feeling 3rd party coming on.

Why should next year be any different from any other election. There are always fringe parties. We never run short of cranks, kooks, and fanatics. For the most part they cancel out each other, as Nader and Buchanan did.

An incomplete list of modern “third parties”:

Constitution Party
Green Party
Libertarian Party
America First Party
Christian Liberty Party (American Heritage Party)
America’s Independent Party
American Patriot Party
American Party (1969)
Independent American Party
Americans Elect
Citizens Party
Independence Party of America
Modern Whig Party
Reform Party of the United States of America
Unity Party of America
Working Families Party
Labor Party
Socialist Party USA
Communist Party USA
Socialist Labor Party of America
Party for Socialism and Liberation
Progressive Labor Party (USA)
Socialist Equality Party (United States)
Socialist Workers Party
World Socialist Party of the United States
Workers Party, USA
Workers World Party
Freedom Road Socialist Organization (freedomroad.org)(Note: both Freedom Road Socialist Organization factions are the result of a 1999 split in the original party)
Freedom Road Socialist Organization (frso.org)
Freedom Socialist Party
Revolutionary Communist Party, USA
Socialist Action
Socialist Alternative
U.S. Marxist-Leninist Organization
American Populist Party
Boston Tea Party
Jefferson Republican Party
Objectivist Party
Populist Party of America
American Reform Party
American Nazi Party (revived)
National Socialist Movement
American Third Position Party
La Raza Unida Party
Prohibition Party
Libertarian National Socialist Green Party
Pirate Party of the United States
United States Marijuana Party

Somewhere there’s probably even an “Earth is 6000 Years Old” party to serve people who can’t do math.

Rush in MY opinino has always been right. As for Sarah Palin and Rush being Tepid...that is HIS business. He holds his cards close to his chest and doesn’t fall gaga over just anybody. THAT does NOT make him wrong.

As for a third party potential I happen to think if the right person were running...they would be successful. Rush does not think the same as me on that one but...it doesn’t make him WRONG.

Rush is his own man and doesn’t put his finger to the wind to make his decisions and thank GOD for that.

You do not have to defend Limbaugh. As you say he’s his own man and entitled to his own opinion. It also happens that his and my opinion about most things are identical.

As a long time Rush listener he has irked me from time to time by his reluctance to name things what they are. For example: Liberal, progressive, left, socialist and communist are aliases for Marxist. Rush continues to use liberal and left when he’s talking about these people. Sooner or later we’re gonna have to confront our enemy. It is Marxism and the traitors who want to turn America into a Marxist state.

Rush continues to believe the demrats will just hand back the GOP to conservatives. I don’t think so.

I thought he was soft on Boehner the two times the traitor asked for air time to explain himself. I would have told Boehner what I thought of his budget charade and it’s being bad for America. I would not have allowed Boehner to walk away without his butt on fire.

But hey, I don’t agree with my wife about everything. Still love her, though.
