Washington Post columnist and Fox News Channel regular Charles Krauthammer said the situation is far simpler. He said instead it was a show of their “lack of intelligence” and “lack of originality.”
“Well, it certainly is a spitting and the sputtering of people who are, who’ve been deeply defeated,” Krauthammer said. “I mean, they were routed. They were up against a small minority of one half of one-third of the Congress and they got — they lost everything. They got routed. Look, this was their Agincourt, you know, Henry V outnumbered by the French, three to one. The opposition, the liberals, hold the Senate. They hold the White House. They hold the media, which had been leaking and parroting the White House line all the way through, and they still got defeated.
“I think this is sort of a pathetic response. If you have no arguments, what do you do? Ad hominems. You attack, you throw names out. But I have one slight disagreement with you [about this] being a conspiracy. I don’t think these people have the wherewithal to orchestrate a three-car motorcade. The reason for the repetition is lack of intelligence and lack of originality. These are people who are slothful.”
Despite Krauthammer’s low regard for the Tea Party’s left-wing detractors, O’Reilly insisted talking points were still circulating, which suggested a concerted effort. Krauthammer dismissed that notion.
“Look, what it means to me is you’ve got people with no intelligence, no originality, no imagination,” he said. “They are sputtering. They have lost. No arguments. What do they do? They want ad hominems. They want epithets. So, somebody uses it on the air — ‘Ah ha, that’s a good one. I’ll use it.’ I don’t credit them [with] the intelligence or the sort of, what it takes to put together a conspiracy.”

Its sad that you have to inform people who Krauthammer is talking about
I remember when the Dixie Chicks were a hot musical group. They had some cross-over appeal, but their fan base was basically C&W. Then the singer stood on stage and basically said, "We're ashamed of America. We're ashamed of George Bush. We're ashamed of the stupid rednecks who support George Bush. Oh! By the way! Our new record is coming out on Monday -- I hope you buy it!"
Oddly, enough, their fan base declined to do so.
Insulting large portions of the population is not a good way to get ahead in this world.

3) The Tea Party won nothing. Oh, I suppose we have the upper hand in debate but we always did. The country agrees on the majority with us with some reservations about cutting entitlements...but so what. When it really matters were the votes there? No, the new freshman sold us out. This is al going to crash and I will hav no ownership of it. The political class own this NOT the Tea Party and not conservatives.

The Tea party won the budget battle like the Texicans won the Alamo. While we didnt get the spending cuts we wanted, the loss will catalyze a rout of the leftists in 2012.

He was responding to a question about the media calling the tea party terrorists. He was NOT talking about the Tea Party ... he was talking about the far-left liberal Democrats and the extremely far-left media! If they allow you to write for the Daily Caller I would have thought you were more intelligent than this!

1) best we could get with 1/3
(the Dems didn’t have the WH in 2007, but got huge budget INCREASES. we had them against a hard cap, and let them get away with cutting 2% of the 40% INCREASE?
2) we changed the dialogue of business as usual.
(nevermind that in 2006, the Dems including Obama, made the same arguments we did, against raising the ceiling.
so, the dialogue has NOT changed, even though we are told that.)
3) we’ll get’em with reinforcements in 2012.

and, cutting spending NOW, would have made Obama’s base turn on him NOW. and fed RAW MEAT to the Tea Party.
...instead, i see good FReepers even giving up, and simply preparing for the now-inevitable collapse.
They didn't get them.
That's the first point of the TEAParty ~ no new taxes. The second point is no new spending. The third point is to cut current spending.
Everybody knows it takes time to get all that done.
As a test, though, I suggest the TEAParty do some deep dumpster diving in the federal register and find out if there's a rule out there that can be used to remove public payment for Krauthammer's wheelchairs (whether he pays for them himself is irrelevant ~ just find a rule that can be used to recite to him ~ get him POd ~ make him PHP)
