Unless those kids want to start drawing unemployment already.

You have to work first before unemployment checks arrive......unless a czar in the White Crib changed the rules or the boy king issued an executive order.

Being as this is “waivers”, the WH will be able to select which schools and districts are exempt. The criteria may be related to, say, demographics in certain areas. ?? If the local teachers unions send lots of money for the campaign, their schools might get “waivers”.

They won’t have to teach anything but perverted sex, eco-nut propsganda, union organizing and crap like that without testing.

Where does the education secretary get the authority to exempt schools from a law passed by the legislative branch? Is this written into the law?

So, by these standards, I guess I really should apply for the Head of Brain Surgury at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Why am I not surprised? When asked about the KCMO Public School District's failure (yet again) to meet the state accreditation requirements, Mayor Sly James said something along the lines that maybe it's time to reevaluate the standards. I'm not sure how many years it's been since the KCMOPSD has had state accreditation, but I believe it's been well over a decade.

This is the way the leftist mind works. Don't demand that people live up to minimum standards, it might hurt their feelings. So what if it just sets them up for failure: They'll feel good about themselves. It's just like when the army decided to issue black berets to everyone. Somebody thought, "hey, those guys in the black berets sure do have esprit d'corps, imagine what it would do for the entire army if EVERYONE wore black berets. Nobody seemed to have considered the fact that the guys wearing the black berets, The Rangers, might have additional pride because of their accomplishments, and not the fact that they were wearing the black berets.

Can't have a cheating scandal risking those cushy teacher union jobs if the schools have a waiver to avoid standardized testing!

Coincidence? I think not.

If voters would take back control of their schools from left leaning school boards and teachers’ unions, we wouldn’t need any federal testing mandates.

The left keeps whining about the the lack of parental involvement in the schools. I’m complaining about the lack of parental involvement in the school boards.

Parents need to take back control of the schools and change the direction of public education. Put the focus back on providing quality education for ALL students and educating EVERY student to the highest level of their ability.

Challenge ALL students to excel, not just aim for mediocrity. Education should not be another form of redistribution.

From 2001- to 2007 - Funding tied to NCLB received a 40.4% increase from $17.4 billion in 2001 to $24.4 billion.

So, did we just save 24.4 billion dollars ? <*s off>
