O’Donnell tells Piers Where to Stick it

No doubt the News Journal “reporters” are hammering away at their keyboards after Christine O’Donnell’s appearance on Piers Morgan’s CNN show. O’Donnell was on to promote her book and the interview started out fairly well. She was amiable and Piers was nice enough but throughout the interview, Morgan continued to turn the topics away from the subject matter of the book, which is a return to our founding principles and an embrace of fiscal responsibility, limited government and a breakup of the crony capitalist system. Now, CNN’s website only shows the last few minutes of the exchange but for those of us who watched the show, Piers went on and on throughout the interview about witches, masturbation and gay marriage which were simply not the topics he brought her on to discuss. Here’s the end of what was at least 15-18 mins of O’Donnell tying to redirect Piers who was acting like a lovesick teenager fresh into puberty.

Tell me about it, she's a freakin' child. If she finds this offensive, or likes to pull the diva 'tude, then she has absolutely no biz being in politics. She should work with Obama, he likes using the super sensitive cry baby method of communication as well.

O’Donnell made a fool of herself. Plain and simple. Did Piers have an agenda? Yes, of course. But she does discuss gay marriage in her book, which she was promoting on his show. If she doesn’t want to discuss certain parts of her book, she should not have written her views on those topics in the first place.
People will not take her seriously if she is going to pull the old, “you ask me hardball questions, and I am going to walk” routine.
I’ll give Bachmann credit. When she was asked about the “submissive” comment, she hit it head on. You don’t have to like her answer but she did answer it.
Keep running away O’Donnell...

Christine handled it well, I thought. She came on to talk about restoring Constitutional America. That was the point of the book. Piers wanted to use the interview as a way of bashing her for views on homosexuals rather than focus on the heart of the book. Christine refused to cooperate with that.

I hate it when “conservatives” chicken out when speaking out about social issues

Well, Christine went on Maher's show and many other shows by her lonesome as 'thee' conservative. She took the spear for her efforts. On the shows I actually watched, many on Youtube, IMO she did quite well in dealing with screwed up comics and liberals.

How people can be dubbed by the MSM is amazing. It's sad and especially so when they're 'conservatives. For some Alinskys' rules works every time.

She beat Castle by her own shear effort and could have beaten 'what's his name' for senator, if not for the moderate to liberal side of our Washington elites.

Good response to the guy’s tagline. Without the Bible we’d just have a bunch of opinions, it’d be hard to even know God loved the world, and we would not know how to get out of paying for our own sin. Job wished his enemy would have written a book, so he’d know what his enemy thought. I’m thankful God sent us a book.

Again, had the GOP had her back instead of backstabbing her we wouldn’t have Obamacare right now.

I love it how she’s labelled a bimbo, and yet, she’s a solid conservative young woman.

What, are these folks here all women who aren’t quite as attractive? Is this the Palin effect.

I thought she handled it perfectly. Now, you’d have to go watch the WHOLE thing...because the clip doesn’t do justice. She put up with his comments for almost 20 mins. She answered about witches and masturbation...what more can you ask for?

I usually do post the entire story here, anyone who’s read more than 1 of my Free Republic links can tell you that. This time, because of the video I linked to my blog so you could see it in context. Make the click.

actually Piers was a douche and tryinig to do tabloid “journalism”. The more guests are willing to walk away from such scumbags the better.

Perhaps you could go back and watch the WHOLE thing, I know CNN only posts a couple of mins worth but if you watch the entire interview, she was on for TWENTY MINS as he asked about witches, masturbation and homosexuals...What SUBSTANCE does that have? What relevance does it have bolo? Is there a bill she should be worried about out there on this issue? NO...there isn’t. It’s a gotcha question that doesn’t touch the damn book.

Now she was there to promote her book which is about TEA Party principles and common sense reforms, not gay marriage, masturbation or witches. For God’s sake, the guy STARTED the interview by pointing out that she made the sign of the cross for good luck...said he expected her to do something satanic...I mean PLEASE...spare me your uninformed drivel...

Yea, actually if you watch the whole interview (which CNN won’t post) Piers spends 20 mins talking abotu witches, masturbation and gay rights...none of this has ANYTHING to do with her book...she went on to promote the book, that was the agreement...it would be like me having you on to discuss tax cuts and then asking you about nuclear physics.

Yea, actually that money was frozen because of the frivilous lawsuits by the Delaware GOP and CREW. She needed to make sure the campaign could pay the legal bills...you call that waste? I call it prudent fiscal planning. I also call it a miscarriage of justice that the Delaware GOP and CREW were allowed to hang those lies over her head... I wish you guys would understand what your're talking about before you comment.

Plus his questions weren’t even hardball, it’s not like he tested her on history or asked her to name the President of Zimbabwe which the a-holes on NBC do all the time to Repubs. If she can’t handle this, she is never going to survive the real nut crackers out there. She should study Trump, he is the Master of the interview. Nobody ever gets one up on that guy, ever.

How is “Do you support gay marriage” a gotcha question?

Maybe that’s your problem - you think that’s a gotcha question. I think that’s a perfectly reasonable question; one that conservatives should proudly be able to answer with equivocation or apologies.

Interestingly you wrote, “Is there a bill she should be worried about out there on this issue?” O’Donnell *herself* said in the interview that she’s not campaigning, nor is she voting on bills. I find it ironic that you bring up an irrelevancy to try and point out relevancy. Fun!

Apparently (and I haven’t read the book... and doubt I will) O’Donnell covered the topic of homosexuality in her book. I’d need someone else to verify that for me because I only read books by authors who are relevant.

“Nor you my FRiend”

I’m not the one who made up a doctrine & promulgated it...

“written and mute word”

I don’t know which Bible you’re reading! None, maybe? Mine is alive and present!

How do you know anything about Jesus, except by the written word?

This reminds me of the thing Catholics do, where they wrongly claim church authority to be above the Bible... from a verse in the Bible...

"Mine is alive and present!"

Do you mean like a "living" constitution subject to revision, modification and reinterpretation to suit the needs of the individual?

"How do you know anything about Jesus, except by the written word?"

By the Apostolic Traditions of the Church. Jesus established a Church upon the first Pope, St. Peter that was tasked with preserving, defending, interpreting and teaching all of the Revealed Word, not just the portion that the Church wrote down some 200-300 years later.

This reminds me of the thing Catholics do, where they wrongly claim church authority to be above the Bible..."

Reminds me of the mindless prattle espoused by those who know nothing of the Church.
