The most important thing to know about the "death by drone" of Anwar al-Awlaki is that this is really about citizenship and anchor babies. Anwar, America's enemy, is a US citizen by virtue of his Yemeni dad pursuing higher education in the US at the time of Anwar's birth. Anwar was born in New Mexico in April of 1971. That made him a US citizen.
It doesn't matter that he returned to Yemen and that his parents had no intention of ever becoming US citizens while they lived here. What matters is the address of the hospital in which little Anwar screamed his first breath of defiance.
The truly bizarre is yet to follow. We also trained him. He returned to the US for both undergrad and graduate degrees: civil engineering and education, respectively. Later pursuit of a PhD in human resource development at George Washington University fell short.
This "U.S. Citizen" then set about trying to destroy his so-called "home of birth."
What's more, Awlaki's kids and wife are forever tied to the US. His five children, at least some of whom had to have been born in the US before he departed in 2002, finally arrived in Yemen in 2004 with their parents. Those born in the US while he attended school are doubly US citizens since their dad was a citizen.
As one recent discussion put it: "Each of these babies becomes an anchor who retards deportation of unlawfully present parents—and who eventually will be an anchor for entire families and villages as chain migration leads to the immigration of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins." The death of Anwar al-Awlaki is not at all about getting "America's enemy." It really is a discussion about "anchor baby citizenship."

No one wants to "change the 14th Amendment, Mr President. They simply want folks to acknowledge that anti-American terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki's parents weren't "subjects" of the United States. They were Yemenis. Little Anwar wasn't a subject of the US either.
On the contrary, he was a hater and an enemy.

He was tried in absentia. Then the military intel and cia intel guys dropped a bomb on him.
He was tried by a jury of battlefield peers.
On the battlefield, every soldier downed is downed by a consensus on the other side that war is suddenly in fashion.
Seriously, though, the necessity of any trial was obviated by act of Congress, Sep 19, 2001, when they declared retaliation on anyone aiding, abetting, etc., those responsible for 9/11.

At one point some of the media was informing the American people regarding cair being an unindicted co-conspirator of terrorism. The reporting did not continue that I am aware of and simply stopped. If correct unknown, as to why. cair is on offshoot of the moslem brotherhood or is the moslem brotherhood if my research is correct. This may explain what happened regarding reporting cair when the moslem brotherhood was recognized by the zer0 administration. To answer your question, (maybe?) when enough Americans are informed and know the roots of cair and cair's mission, <-- and this may never happen, cair can be turned back. At this time cair is winning and operating freely (imho) due to Americans being uninformed, and cair attaining protected status. When republicans win, this protected status of cair, I pray, will be repealed.
